wesleydog wrote:Sorry for so much of an absence, everyone! Life has been getting progressively more difficult for me lately, and I've been feeling a big disconnect to art, writing, characters, and the character community in general as a result. I'm going to try forcing myself into some writing, though, because I am unhappy with my current writing quality... :c
I am female, which to me means strong and powerful,
not just pretty like some of the other cats see it. In truth, I am
not proud of my gender because we are depicted as weak and
vulnerable by some stereotypical people. In reality, it's just not
true. I have been called beautiful, yes, but I am more proud to
be called smart, brave or unique.
My name is beautiful, though, and I love it. I would be able to
cope with an average name, but I prefer my abstract one; it has
more character, more life, than others. My friends call me a
variety of things: Wind, Song, Win and WS (but only over text).
When I asked my Mom how she chose my name, she said, "Ah,
Windsong; what a beautiful name for something you want too
love." I think she meant it to, and I cling to that piece of her
now, even though we are so far apart now.
You see, it is in every cat's destiny to move on in the world. They
must make a life for themselves outside of the relative safety of
their parents' grasp. It is important for us to carve our own path
and be able to get by in the world by ourselves. I moved on a little
later than most; I waited 'til winter, when I was in my element.
The snow makes for easy camouflage, what with my white pelt.
Most move on in the spring or summer months, when the air is
warm and their is a hint of rain in the air. I don't like summer;
it is claustrophobic indoors because of the humidity, and
scorching outside, where the wind roasts me in my thick coat.
Spring is fine - there is just the right mix of rain and wind and sun.
But their is no snow, no camouflage, no way of hiding if I need it,
so I do not like to venture too far away from safety. I do like
Spring showers - one minute, they appear from no where, blasting
you with cold water, and the next they are gone, the clouds all
dispersed, the rain soaked up by the earth.
Autumn is fun, but bad for travel. I love the leaves, but I stand out
terribly in the crisp, fallen shapes. Shades of brown and gold litter
the floor, and I love the crunchy noise they make. It is like the
music to a unique song, played by the trees and the wind and the
creatures. Every time I walk through the forests, I feel like I am
part of something bigger, singing along to nature's chorus.
I suppose, the more I live my life, the more I grow into my name.
I have begun to appreciate all different types of music - they are
all uniquely beautiful, in their own way. On the other hand, I
still cannot stand musicals. Maybe it is because, in real life, songs
do not just pop up out of nowhere, and everyone does not sing the
same songs. I know what it's like to try and write a song, and I know
it is never that easy.
And anyway, where do all the instruments come from?
I play instruments, too, including the piano and violin. When a song
comes on the radio, I feel the necessity to air-play whatever instrument
goes with the song and try to guess the notes. I bet I look quite stupid,
but I don't care - it's just a bit of fun. c;
Speaking of fun, I'm a very sociable cat. I have lots of friends, closest of
all is Silkpaw:
We have so much fun together! It's awesome c:

Why should I get to adopt Tangerine? Well first, she is beautifully drawn. I was scrolling through all the amazing adoptables, and she really caught my eye. She is just so perfect. All those oranges blend so nicely together. I absolutely love the little orange slice by her ear. I am going to keep her name because it's so perfect!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My uses for her: She will be a character in some of the stories I am writing! I will give credit of course! I would also like to add her to my collection, she's just so amazing. I will also use her as my character reference in my roleplay. (Again with credit.) She will neeeevvvver, evvvveeerrrr, evvvveeerrr be given away. I just love her too much. ✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔✔
Tangerines personality: S\She is very sweet. She is always happy to lend a paw! She is a very happy dog! She gets hyper is she eats to many orange popsicles. Tangerine also tends to talk a lot. She is happy most of the time, and is always making others laugh. She is very goofy.

Drinks: Pink lemonade
Game: Connect 4
Movie: Lilo & Stitch
Book: The Lightning Thief
Song: Uptown Funk

Favorite band: Maroon 5
"Ok, well I should do Tangerines history right? "Hey, can I tell them? Can I, can I, can I?" Says an orange dog. "Oh, hey! Look everyone, *I point to the dog* it's Tangerine. I've been wondering when you would show up. You seem very hyper, have you been eating orange popsicles." "Maybe." "Ok, well let's start on your history, shall we? "Ok. Well, I was born into the fruit clan. Were a secret clan that lives in the jungles. We are a clan that is all about fruit. My mom was an orange fruit dog, and my dad was an apple fruit dog. Some stupid humans cut down our jungle for some mall. Most of the clan was separated.I looked for 7 months for someone else from my clan, never finding them. But I found you!" "Yes, you did *I say smiling.* Ok, well shall we rap it up?" "Yes. Well, it was nice being here, but I think I want to go drink some pink lemonade, now."
