Hailkit, lulled by the strokes, began to fall asleep. The young kit lowered his head to the ground as he began to curl into a tight ball. Sleep overcame him and he fell further into the darkness behind his eyelids.

Skystar picked him up gently and set him near her warm belly so she could rest aswell.

I had eaten my food Briarpaw gave to me and decided to go see how Skystar was doing. I padded outside and into the nursery, "How are you doing?" I asked her.

Skystar looked at her, "Fine thank you. But i believe hailkit is blind." She mewed and groomed birdkit.

Hailkit stretched his jaws wide in complaint to be woken up. The kit had sharper hearing than most with him being blind and Willowpelt had just woken him up. The kit's blue eyes were stretched wide, but was unfocused. Then he finally spoke his first word, "tired!"

Skystar mewed happily, "Good job!" She licked him in responce, nuzzling him. She then picked ip tavenkit to groom, "Wow. His first word." She murmured

Rainheart
Rainheart quietly trotted into the medicine den and sat next to her mother. "They're beautiful." She purred. She blue eyes almost glowed in the dim light as she looked at the kits. She proudly puffed her chest and spoke confidently but gentle, "Hi little kits, I'm your big sister Rainheart. Welcome to Skyclan." She had to admit she was slightly jealous, for the tiny fluffy balls were so new and harmless. "Skystar, are you hungry? I can bring you prey if you would like?" Her voice was strong and serious, but still full of concern.

Hailkit hugged in annoyance and tried to wriggle away from his mother. His curious little mind was wondering what was beyond the nest. As he began to climb up the side, he opened his eyes again, expecting to see something when all he saw was darkness. A squeak escaped him at that, but it didn't stop him from continuing to wriggle up the side of the nest.

Slystar grabbed the kit back, keeping him close, "That would be great." She mewee and gave her a lick on he ear. She knew that Rainheart was jealous but she needed to take care of her kitS. She yawned and rested her head.
