Owlstar looked uncomfortable in the silence. She waited for him to say something.

Aspen grinned. "Awww, thank you! That's sweet," she said, smiling like her old self.

Birchstorm dropped onto the forest floor with his catch. "Thanks! Do you still want to keep hunting?"

"No. I think we have done enough for tonight. We each caught a piece of plump prey. Let's take it back," she replied. Tinyshadow turned away from him and went back to her starling. The scraped away the dirt and picked it up in her jaws.

"Well uh," he mumbled trying to start up the conversation again. He looked at the ground before looking back up again.

Dashfoot stood up and shook his fur, looking at Owlstar.

Shadowpaw groaned again.

Stormstar whipped his head towards Dashfoot again. He then quickly looked back at Owlstar. "So uh, after the gathering is done maybe you want to go on a walk just so we can talk about leader stuff maybe?"

Owlstar blinked. "Sure, that'll be nice, actually," she answered.

Birchstorm picked up his robin and started to follow the she-cat.

Stormstar nodded with a smile. He usually only acts nice towards ones he trusts which to him is never. But he has started to change a bit. "Thanks for accepting. So I guess it's just all talking now."

"That's the point of Gatherings, isn't it?" she asked.

"I was just taught that well it was for mostly the leaders saying what happened in their clans and not much social talks between the different clans. Seems like I grew up different." He sighed.
