Tinyshadow purred in amusement and settled down in the sun with the vole at her paws. The black she-cat the waited for Birchstorm to join her before she tucked into it.

Softfeather sighed in frustration and gave up. The she-cat scurried out of camp, hopefully unseen and headed for the border. She stopped for a small hunt on the way so she could have some excuse when she got back. The she-cat reached the border and called out in a soft voice, "Tallstep? Are you there?" She then pricked her ears, listening for any sound.

The small she-kit began to breath. Cold and hungry she mewed for her mother or at least some cat close by. So far having no luck the newborn tried to mew louder but she couldn't. She huddled into a ball to try to keep warm but she also had no protection against any lurking predators near by where she laid. Eventually she gave up and stopped her mewing and just thought she would die alone. She was pleased with that thought.

"SoftFeather." TallStep trotted out of the bushes, over the border, and in front of the shecat. He smiled, "Glad you came." His tail flicked behind him as his light blue eyes met with her soft blue ones.

Softfeather purred in amusement. "Well, I wanted to see why you wanted to meet with me again." She said to him. When their eyes met though, a small knowing twinkle was in her eyes. Softfeather flicked her tail back and forth, cocked her head, and patiently waited for his answer.

"Well, I wanted to see you again.." The tom confessed, holding his gaze. He sat on his haunches, curling his tail over his paws. His ear flicked at the slightest sounds, if any cat snuck up on them.

"Well, you're definitely not the only one." Softfeather confessed. "I actually couldn't wait to see you again. This whole day I just was fidgeting and-" she cut off abruptly. Her fur heated in embarassment and the she-cat ducked her head to escape his gaze. She sat down as well, but kept her head ducked, though she kept her ears pricked in case something or someone came and if he began to talk.

Birchstorm settled down besides Tinyshadow, giving her some space. He motioned to the vole with his muzzle for her to take the first bite.

TallStep chuckled, obviously amused by her ongoing words. "No, no. Keep going, I'm liking this." He teased, still laughing at the awkward shecat.
