There was the sound of a twig cracking. Matthew jumped down from his tree. He hopped back over his housefolk's fence. The tom sprinted into his housefolk's den. Once inside, Matthew was swept up by one of his housefolk. " Please," he meowed to his housefolk."Put me down!" Matthew's housefolk didn't seem to understand him. It grumbled "Awww!" and carried him outside. It set him down on the grass. "No! I want to be IN the den! It's too cold out here!" he whimpered
