I do know in the past some of the newer members didn't know, same as me when I first joined..

Would you want to breed with a relative? No, equids are turned-off by their family, scientists have a theory that equid smells are related to genetics so that two equids with similar genetic material would not mate, ensuring that the species would continue.

If I was to breed a quipless stallion with a normal mare (or vise versa) and don't request any features in regards to quipping, would the foal automatically get the mares style of quipping or is there a possibility that it could have any type of quipping because of its sire being quipless?
Thats a long sentence, I hope you understand what I'm saying :P

Quipless equids
These are equids born with none of the traditional quipping. These are extremely rare and can throw a few surprises when bred.
Has no quipping
Can breed but it is the artists choice to what quip it might/could have had
Will produce quipped foals even when two are bred together but quipping will be random
Can have any base colour
Class: Special
Breeding: Because quipless equids have no quipping when bred their foals can have any quipping. But the owner cannot request a type of quipping, it is up to the artist unless the breeder wants the quipped parent's quipping.
The foal will get a randomly selected style and colour of quipping chosen by the artist unless the owner requests the quipping style/colour from the other parent.
If two quipless are bred it is completely up the artist as you can only request traits the parents have, so without quipping you cannot request it. All you could request is eye colour, base colour, mane colour, etc.

When it comes to making references for our WMEs, are we aloud to design the other side? Such as editing the paint markings and/or quipping as long as it is within reason? Or unless an artist has posted the other side, does it have to be the same?
And if we can, are we aloud to decide if the paint markings, if they have some, cover the other eye thus allowing it to be a different color, or must this be official by the artist?
Thanks horsy or whoever answers my questions! (:

Are we allowed to design the other side of our equid? Of course! Equids don't have to be symmetrical. As long as the other side follows the style of the side shown it is fine, obviously an equid cannot have one style of quipping one side and another on the other, same with colours, it cannot have minimal paint on one side and be almost white the other.
Can we decide the paint markings? Only if the side shown has paint markings. Owners cannot add paint to an equid that is clearly not a paint. Only certain types of paint markings cause eye colour changes and these will be added to the equid colour rules in the near future so people know where they stand.
