HeroHorse wrote:About myselfI am interested in creating/managing a roleplay based on Redwood Valley Equestrian Centre. I've actually been considering the idea for several days, but I never dreamed that such an opportunity might come about. First and foremost, I am familiar with the Chickensmoothie rules, particularly the roleplay rules and the rules with regards to images. I am toying with several vague notions for a plot. I am convinced that the roleplay requires a plot of sorts. Roleplays without plots are uncommon in the semiliterate and above range, due to the fact that they frequently 'die' due to lack of interest. That being said, there are a few very successful roleplays without plots, but they do tend to be in the minority. A plot helps to keep role players interested, particularly if it evolves. I assume that the roleplay would be a realistic one, so I am considering plots that could naturally occur in the world of equestrianism.Proper grammar/spellingI have a spell check function on my tablet, which is automatically employed. Its only fault is that it constantly changes 'mare' to 'made' if I am not careful enough. As for grammar, I would say that I am fairly satisfactory in that regard. Possibly the best examples of my writing which I can give are located on the pages of the RVC horses Cinniúint Óir and Toirneach agus Tintreach. Naturally, I cannot post replies of such length in a roleplay (note that both of the stories happened over the course of several days) and I don't expect anyone else to either. However, it gives a decent idea of my grammar, spelling and range of vocabulary. I will not penalise anyone for incorrect spelling or grammar (particularly the latter) if the person in question have a valid reason for it, such as not being a native speaker of English. Slight slips are also okay; we all have those moments where we press the wrong key, or whatnot. Being lazy with grammar and spelling simply because one cannot be bothered paying attention to it is an entirely different matter, but hopefully this won't be an issue.Good coding skills I would like to say that I'm rather reasonable at coding, the page of Sionnach Stables being a recent (and slightly lazy) example. I also turn my signature off on topics such as the initial introduction, thread rules, etc. I feel that it is no requirement for my regular posts or anyone else's posts, though. As for images, I love them as much as the next person when they are used with one key rule- do not use the image unless it is distinctly stated that it is allowed to be used for such a purpose (in a roleplaying case, freedom to share and possibly modify the image for noncommercial purposes. Attribution to the image's creator is nearly always required.). I stay away from images marked as copyright or images that do not display whether or not they can be used in the purposes above- chances are that they can't be. Even if I say that the image is does not belong to me, it is still considered art theft if I use an image which is potentially copyrighted unless I have a form of valid permission from the owner of the image.LeadershipShould I receive the opportunity to create a roleplay based on this sim, I would strive to make it a fun and interesting place for all owners of an RVC barn to interact with each other's characters and horses as well as improve their writing skills in a enjoyable, creative way. I will be as fair as possible, I will try to be friendly and I will offer second chances. To keep the roleplay organised, I shall make seperate threads for both forms and discussion. As the roleplay grows, I would also assign people to assist me in running the roleplay, should they and the roleplays involved in the roleplay desire them to be in such a position.Past experienceI've been engaged in many roleplays over the years, mainly involving equines. My earliest posts and characters were absolutely horrifying. I don't want to elaborate, for both your sake and mine. However, I have matured into a roleplayed well into the semiliterate range, thank goodness for that. Previously I have made a roleplay or two, but, as I said before, that was mainly in my earlier days. Even several months ago, I was nowhere near as competent as I am now, specifically in terms of coding and creating personalities for my characters.ActivityI am not the world's most active user of Chickensmoothie, however I do think that I can manage a minimum of two posts per character, per week. It might not sound like a lot, but bear in mind the fact that it is a minimum. However, unexpected things do occur in everyone's lives, and I'm perfectly accepting of that fact.

Well, my Oekaki is down again -- apparently it seems to work almost immediately after I complain about it, so hopefully this little post fixes it ^^' Edit: Like clockwork.
Also, I will be gone from Wednesday to Sunday, so Oddly Shaded will be taking over for that time c: She'll be able to answer any questions (to the best of her ability) and will be just generally keeping the thread in order ^^ And Oddly, should I not be back by Monday, I would like to give you full ownership of this sim -- if that's too much, just let me know, but I know you've got experience with sims like these so I feel that you'd be qualified c:
All right! Happy Valentine's Day everyone, and I hope to get my Oekaki up and working again! <3
