I trot out of the warriors den and head for the fresh kill pile.I felt my eyes grew as I saw a plump Mouse.As I quickly scrambled to my paws with the Mouse between my jaws,I went next to the elders' den.

Emptyeyes launched high into the tree, expecting his claws to hook into bark. Instead, though, they hooked into a strange cat's pelt. He yowled, staring to fall.

Zerol let out a screech of alarm as the cat, some how sensing him in the tree, leaped at him, hooking his sharp claws around his chest. Thinking fast, the loner used his hunting method of hooking his back legs around the tree and holding on tight. Before he knew it, he was hanging up-side-down with a yowling cat clinging on to him. "Hey, hey, calm down!"

Owlstar realized that it's been a while since Emptyeyes' patrol left. He only took Dreamrunner with him, so she thought that there was a chance the toms could have gotten in some trouble. She glanced around the camp, wondering whether a search patrol would be necessary soon and which cats to bring.
