The white mare watched as the stallion began to show off. She gently snorted through her nostrils, shaking her head. She was in no mood to need to be impressed. The mare was desperate for a stallion, and even a two year old would be fine with her for the time being. She trotted closer, shaking her mane. She was happy to see his interest, however. She flicked her hardly scented tail. being in heat around this time was rare for a mare, but it being in such a low state - she could hardly even smell it. She leaned down, waiting him to walk over. Even if she was desperate, she wasn't just going to stop her ways.

He gave a snort, "Ah. So I was correct. A gorgeous name for a gorgeous mare." The paint said with a smile. He bowed his head, flicking his triangular pointed ears. As she trotted away a bit, he flicked his tail, walking closer. His head titled, not too sure of what she was trying to accomplish in this act. However, he needed to make this mare his. "Er. Dakota. I wanted to know if you have a herd. Being alone around this time is pretty dangerous." He said softly.

mare ~ eleven years old ~ lone mare ~ heat level; x ~ stud/herd; x ~ foal(s); shattered image ~ tagged; lea, clear, shatter, archangel
Missy watched quietly, her brown eyes moved from the large stallion to her son. Her young son. She nuzzled him, lovingly with a sigh. She had to do this. Not for her, but for Shatter. There as no way he would survive this already harsh winter. She watched as the stallion came closer, pushing back her ears gently. She felt her protective feelings perk, but she needed to stay calm. He would be the only one to help her son. His words made the mare go stiff. Should she do as this stallion says? What if it was simply a trick to get the young foal close to him so he could snap his neck. It was uncertain, but what was certain is if she didn't do what was asked of her, Shatter's death would come sooner or later. Shatter looked to his mother, brown eyes uncertain. Missy knew he wouldn't move without her word. The mare looked from Shatter to Archangel, sighing and pushing her ears back. It was risky, but somethings needed to be done. She nudged her young son with her nose forward, watching as he walked over to the stallion. She thought she could hear her heart skipping in her chest. She got closer, just in case that this stallion would try and do something, she could at least attempt to save Shatter. Her tail flicked uneasily, his calming words doing nothing to help her motherly anxiety. Her brown eyes turned to Lea and Clear. Snorting, she pinned her ears, already exerting dominance to the two. The red roan mare didn't give time for the mares to think they were anywhere close to being lead.

colt ~ six months old ~ lone colt ~ mother; bloody mistake ~ herd; x ~ tagged; lea, clear, missy, archangel
Shatter's small, young body shivered as he looked to his mother, his bio-colored eyes blinking. His cloudy blue eye showed nothing but shadows. The paint was born almost a month early, making his vision harsh. Though, it didn't stop him in anything. He was a very ambitious little boy - nothing standing in his way. As the large stallion suggested Shatter getting warmth from him, the colt looked to his mother. He wouldn't take one movement without the approval of his mother. The paint colt loved to please, and always loved to make his mother happy with his actions. As Missy pushed him forward, he slowly trotted to Archangel, his small jaws clacking together. It was a sign for foals to show respect to the older stallions. He slowly laid down, his one good eye stapled onto the male. He cuddled close to Archangel, putting his face into his long fur.
