|Sun back|Sun|5|tags:herd
Sun turned away from her son, guarding him with her body for the icy cold winds, she huffed in disbeleif of the loss of her lead stallion, she hoped she would be able to stay with the rest of the mares in her herd, especially dream, the two had formed a friendship as they had traveled between herds. Also, numbers were the best way of surviving winter, even if they were without a stallion, they didn't need him, they had each other and that alone was enough to persuade Sun that they had a chance. She gave a small nicker to invite Dream over to her, it was more shelted under these trees and there was room for her foal and Lucy to lie with cloud.

Cloud followed his mother pressing against her flank for warmth, the air had gradually gotton colder and he hated it, he had heard that it was winter and they needed to keep warm and away from danger. He wasn't watching his mother much but closing his eyes to hide them from the harsh, bitter winds that rushed past his face, he could sence his mother next to him and the sound of rustling in debris but he guessed that must just be the wind. He could tell the rest of the herd were close by and hoped they wouldn't leave him or his mother, especially not in the winter. He was jolted awake from his thoughts when his mother gave him a soft nip on his rear, he walked toward were she was pointing him and noticed soft debris, shaped into a nest, he gave a reluctant look to his mother before laying down in the soft bedding for a nap.

Blade snorted grumpily, before rearing up and letting a loud nicker vibrate through his muscular throat and out into the open, he was looking for any company now that winter was here. He needed saftey, and safety was in nubers, he also needed shelter, as the in the open strong, bitter winds battered his ragged winter coat, he gave a small snort of anger before trecking through the open land keeping strong wind bitten eyes open for anys ign of horses to travel through winter with.

Lady had gotton herself lost, she couldn't rermeber the last time she had found a horse, but she needed to, and soon. She dug her sharp, striped hoof into the dirt and tried to push debris together, she knew there was a small stream near by, that might freeze over during winter but she could easily kick a a hole big enough to drink out of. She bucked, pinning her ears and gave a loud whinney to any horses near by that could join her. Her legs ached with pain after traveling for what seemed like the whole of winter, she didn't want to lie down but she forced herslelf to just kneel down for a little while. Releif flooded through her joints as she did so and she placed her neck onto the soft debris, but she kept her eyes open for she still didn't feel safe enough to sleep.

Swift looked at the stallion and chuckled softly to herself at his clumsy speech, the with the weather freezing around her there wasn't much left to laugh at, her faint heat scent was fading fast this stallion would be lucky to cover her in time. She looked up at his clumsy but warm gaze and knew that she could trust him, she didn't know what made her come to this decision but there was just something about him that made her want to trust him. She nodded as she watched his movements before raising her head to reply, "I don't mind, Tide, i shall call you, I think if you want me so much then i would like to travel with you," She spoke slowly as though she was still thinking up the words as they tumpled out of her rubbery lips, "Your clumsy talk seemed to have saved you a mare," She added more confident this time, as she had more time to think of her words. She let her very faint scent drift towards him, not knowing if he would even be able to scent it at the moment, she didn't really care, a foal wasn't the worst thing that could happen to her right now.
