Teke #0200

Postby Dia. » Sat Jan 03, 2015 10:59 am

A group of criminals and smugglers were captured and a small herd of neglected tekes were claimed by the Phaethon's Teke Association. The herd was special, as each had a super shiny coat. It is believed that the smugglers were trying to breed more of these valuable, shiny-coated tekes. However, there is no evidence that they succeeded in passing on the metallic sheen. Unfortunately, the tekes are not in mint condition as a result of the neglect.
The stallion is nearly blind in both eyes as a result of being unprotected from the sun glaring into his pale blue eyes.
The first mare is deaf from unknown causes.
The second mare suffered an injury to her front right knee. Even though it has since healed, she will never be sound.
Each one has been clipped and cared for, but they are still very wary of newcomers. The association is looking to rehome two of these tekes with owners who will rehabilitate them and are seeking applicants as we speak.

End Date: February 14th

The owner gets to choose the string color as well as all of the specifics about the beads. You must explain the significance or meaning of what you chose for this special teke. You must also explain your plan to rehabilitate your neglected teke. Then, go crazy. Impress me with art, writing, you name it in the other section. You may not change the history that has been given above, but you may add to it.
You may decorate your form.

This stallion is almost completely blind.

Owner: Baby bunnies!
Name: Artemas Apollo (Name in Greek, in English letters)
αρτεμης Απολλων (Name in all Greek)
I find the name Apollo very fitting. It was the name of the Greek god of truth and light. Artemas stands for Safe, which this stallion is now.
Gender: Stallion
Age: 7 years
Height: 16 hh

String Color: Black
Bead Color, Shape, Quantity, and Placement: shades of Lighter Blue beads, four round three cylinder, 7 beads, Placement like in the art.
Significance: Blue is the color that can stand for Recovery and Trust. It is also a calming color. Blue also reminds me of how his eyes used to be until he was harmed by the sun due to the lack of care and love. The reason for seven beads is to show how many years before the Phaethon's Teke Association found and rescued him.

Rehabilitation Plan:
The first thing that would happen is to let him into a shady paddock and let him get used to his surroundings. Then the next day, interact and spend time getting used to each other and bonding. There would be a day spent to get him used to grooming supplies and then clean him up. Gaining his trust is important, he needs someone that he can rely on. After his trust is gained, a veterinarian will be called to come to see him to reduce stress of traveling.
Careful plans would be made to not let in direct sunlight, at least not without protection from a mask that guards him from the harmful UV rays as well as flies. It has an extention to protect his pink and white nose from sunburn. The mask that would be used, isn't flashy, but it is very effective and vital to Artemas Apollo if he is in the sun. He would mainly live in a stall and pasture that is located on the shadiest part of the barn. That way he has some shade from direct sunlight.
At the very beginning he was given a slow increase in food. This was to get him used to more food slowly so not to hurt his stomach. New foods were introduced in small amounts. His new diet, to gain weight, will be higher in energy and calories. The main things that will be in this diet is Fiber, Starch, and Fat. When the diet reaches full quantity, he will be given 8 pounds of grass hay and alfalfa mix. He will be encouraged to forage. If the quality of the hay or alfalfa goes down, then Beet Pulp will be given to continue the good fiber content. A very small amount of Wheat Bran (high in Phosphorous) will be given to compliment the alfalfa hay (high in calcium). If Artemas Apollo does not eat all the hay and alfalfa, the diet will slowly change to a more easily consumed diet. Such as Alfalfa cubes and some grass hay. To ensure a healthy gut and good microbial, Probiotics will be added to the feed. A very small amount of grain is apart of the diet, as well as rice bran. All of this is until he gains condition and weight back and is healthy.
More time would be spent with bonding. Stationed next to him is a small herd. They can interact at the fence and will soon be able to be together after Artemas Apollo gains weight enough to be put on the regular Teke's diet. As he gets weight put on, he gets to spend some time in the same pasture with the herd during the day, of course supervised. He and Doon get along great and enjoy grooming each other in the shade.
Artemas Apollo will be able to officially move in with the herd when he reaches a healthy weight and looks and feels healthy.

Personality:
Artemas Apollo is a gentle Teke. He went through a lot of trauma during his time with the bandits. When he first was rescued, he was very skittish. He has progressed so much since he was rescued.

Likes:
~ cool Baths
~ rolling in fresh hay
~ attention
~ music
~ to be around people he trusts

Dislikes:
~ being filthy
~ being ignored
~ not getting his food on time
~ sources of bright lights

Beauty from Pain - SuperChick, represents what had happened to Artemas Apollo when he was captive.

What is freedom if you can't share it with someone else?

Image

Owner :: {h o r s e}
Name :: Wasabi
Gender :: Stallion
Age :: 12
Height :: 16 hh
String Color :: #89BA90 - Light minty green
Bead Color, Shape, Quantity, and Placement :: #F5F5F5 - here
Significance :: The colour of the string resembles wasabi
used in Japanese dishes, and the silvery beads compliment
it nicely, looking like the small servings of wasabi.

Image
Feel free to listen to Wasabi's Theme Song throughout my form.
Rehabilitation Plan :: Aria is a proud owner of her Phaethon's Tekes. Most of her tekes live in semi-wild herds separated into large paddocks including a paddock for bachelor tekes. She also has a barn which currently contains one teke - Ink. Aria has decided that Ink will be a guide teke for Wasabi. She wants to turn him into a trail ride horse with the help of Ink. She plans to start by riding Ink and leading Wasabi in a round yard to slowly progress towards being able to ride Wasabi with Ink following on a lead. She hopes that Wasabi will accept having a flymask on, but she has designed one so that is is thick enough to protect his fragile eyes from the sun but thin enough to put whatever vision he has left to use. Aria has created a plan for rehabilitating Wasabi.

Week 1
Throughout the first week, Aria plans to use horsemanship methods to try and connect with Wasabi. For all she knows, he may be in an emaciated state. Aria plans to keep him in a paddock 24/7 for him to eat up on grass. She will slowly introduce feed, offering lots of meadow hay to fatten him up carefully. She plans to try and join up with him in a round yard.

Week 2
By Week 2, Aria will hope that Wasabi has acknowledged her and has begun to settle in. During this week Aria will be feeding him up with hard feed and doing leading and ground work with Wasabi in the hope that he will be more confident with humans. She wants
Image
him to trust that she can guide him when he finds it hard to see.

Week 3
During week 3, Aria will introduce Wasabi to Ink. She hopes that they get along - it's crucial to her plan. If they don't Aria will bring one of her semi-wild horses in. She plans to introduce them on the lead before turning them out together. Throughout the week Aria will begin to feed Wasabi more consistently - twice a day with a supplement that helps build muscle.

Week 4
Aria will dedicate week 4 to lunging Wasabi with Ink in the round yard. She wants him to get used to vocal commands and aids.

Week 5
Week 5 is when Aria will begin to put riding commands into place. She will be introducing word commands into her ground training to help communication with Wasabi easier when she begins to ride him. She aims to be able to ride him just using her voice 90% of the time, and plans to take him out on trail rides, hopefully one day without Ink the guide teke.

Week 6
During week 6, Wasabi will be introduced to the saddle and other pieces of tack. He's already been adjusted to the halter. Aria will be riding him in an ultra light synthetic saddle and will get him used to having it on his back. She will also get him used to a saddle pad and fleece pad for comfort being thrown over his back, and start to use rugs on him as winter sets in. She will lunge him with boots and without, seeing if he needs them or not. She will also cover the bit in molasses to train him to take the bit properly.

Week 7
Week 7 is dedicated to lunging Wasabi in tack and putting weight on Wasabi's back. By now Wasabi should be back to a healthy weight.

Week 8
Week 8 is when Aria plans to swing into Wasabi's saddle for the first time. She plans to teach him basic aids and combine them with vocal commands.

Week 9
Aria plans to challenge Wasabi by starting baby lateral movements and continue with flat work.

Week 10 and on
Throughout week 10 Aria will finally take Wasabi out on the trails, but her work will never end. She will always teach Wasabi new things and there will always be new things for him to learn.

Take too little wasabi, and you don't have enough flavour. Take too much and you have a fireball in your mouth. Tread carefully around the horse with fire in his belly.

Wasabi is.. unique. He's got fire in his belly and a a real bite for life. He was damaged and broken when he was mistreated, but with a speedy recovery, Aria found it hard to deal with his quick metabolism and body. He's always fresh, and to be honest, a real stallion. But yet, he's quite vague. He can be fast, but it takes him a while to actually latch onto things. He finds it hard to stop and think things over, because he becomes quite uncontrollable and spastic. He's quite the romantic and sociable too. Aria has to bring him to a place with no horses in ear-shot or whatever capability of concentration he has will go to waste.

For a horse that's almost blind, Wasabi is overly confident in himself. That ends him up often bruised and knocked about from his little adventures in the paddock. His confidence makes him easy for humans to work around, despite the fidgeting, but it's hard to win his trust. He was handled roughly and has issues with chain halters. If you're too timid around him, he will sense it and become boisterous. However, if you're too rough, he backfires.

History ::
Story :: All the times Wasabi has run into trouble, he never expected this. He's always been an interesting character, and when he was in the wild, he was getting himself in deep water too many times. Maybe that's why on that muggy, overcast morning he was captured. It was one too many, and he never even saw it coming.

Europa was up on a small hilltop, looking over the valley where her herd resided. There were 2 mares, silently grazing. They pawed the snow, swiping it swiftly with their strong hooves so they could reach the snippets of grass underneath. They were all heavily pregnant, including Europa. She shifted her gaze to the pearly stallion. Her eyes locked on him as he flopped about, suddenly cantering a circle around the mares, throwing in a swift buck. The mares stamped their feet in annoyance. They didn't bother to lift their heads up from the grass, never amused by the stallion's antics. Nothing unusual there. He turned sharply, circling around the other way. If Europa could roll her eyes, she would.

Wasabi felt a lingering thought dance in the back of his mind. It was an anxious feeling, not something that Wasabi usually felt. A rush of adrenaline surged through his veins. He tensed, facing the wind. It was only slightly noticeable, but he could smell something burning. The strong scent of fire kicked him into action. He whinnied loudly, circling his mares. They didn't bother to look up at him, and in frustration he kicked out at one of them, biting them swiftly as his leg shaved past. The mare sprung to life, bolting forward a few strides before correcting herself and putting her ears back at the stallion. The expression was wiped off of her face when she caught onto the scent too - the roasting of a camp fire meant men were nearby.

Europa watched in frustration as Wasabi bit one of the mares. She was ready to gallop down and show him straight. She was in charge after all. But as the mare stopped too, facing the wind, Europa stopped to smell the air. She smelt fire, and suddenly felt what Wasabi had been feeling. She hopped down the hill, sitting back on her hindquarters as she leapt swiftly down the decline like a mountain goat. She cantered towards the herd with her head high in the sky. The longer time went by, the closer the men seemed. And the quicker the herd had to act. Europa headed straight for the mares, circling them then moving forward, the anxious mares following. She needed to get them out of the area and into the valley that they had discovered. It was a small clearing surrounded by cliff - the only way in was to slide down the incredibly steep decline, and the only way out was to climb back up. Europa began to move off with the mares, quickening her pace. The shiny stallion had other ideas.

As the herd moved off, Wasabi decided to go the other way. He wanted to see just what was causing the fire. Europa whinnied out at h
Image
im but he didn't listen, glancing over at her as she led the other mares in frustration away to the hidden valley. He set off at a trot, his tail held like a banner. He peered through the trees into the clearing. There was a small hut with a campfire going. Two horses were tacked up and ground tied, cropping the grass quietly. The two men were roasting some sort of meat on the fire. Wasabi curled his nostrils in disgust, snorting slightly. He froze as the two horses looked up, whinnying loudly. He scrambled back quickly as the men looked up, spotting their prize. They ran to their horses, leaping up and kicking them into a wild gallop. The stallion's heart dropped as he ran for his life, his legs shaking. They felt like they were going to cave in under him as he shook. He galloped wildly, scrambling so he didn't trip. Wasabi slowly re-gainined his confidence as he led the men on a wild and windy trail. He smirked as he leapt to the side, taking a U-turn. He ducked as a rope was swung at his neck. As Wasabi came out into a clearing, unfamiliar ground was spread out before him. His heart skipped a beat as he didn't know where he was. Wasabi's eyes watered with sweat as he dug up the ground. He had to find a way to lose them. He tore back into the cover of trees, trying to figure out where he was. He flung himself forwards, picking up the pace as his legs stretched underneath him. He saw a cliff in the distance. It was not a very wide one - with a landing on the other end. He knew how to trick them. Their horses could never jump that distance with such a weight on their backs. Wasabi was going to fast to back out now. He gathered his courage in the final few strides, rocking back on his hind and rocketing forward over the gap. He turned to look back at the men who had quickly yanked on their horse's reins, skidding to a stop before the edge. He reared, teasing the men. If horses could laugh, he would be cracking up. However, he wasn't laughing when as fast as lighting, a rope flew across the cliff and hooked around his neck. He dropped his front feet back down in shock, pulling against the rope. No matter how hard he pulled the horses on the other side didn't give. He was trapped. For once, the shiny stallion had learnt his lesson.

Wasabi couldn't be more thankful that he was saved from his captors, yet he will still regret the day when he took it too far.
Theme Song :: Ironically, Wasabi's theme song is Life In Technicolour by Coldplay. Despite his lack of vision, his life is still colourful.

Owner: dreamwalker
Name: Make Me A Miracle // Baahir.
Name Meaning: His show name comes from the fact that he is a survivor and he pulled through despite the abuse and neglect he was put through. He truly is a miracle horse and he has a strong spirit and mind. His barn name, Baahir means 'dazzing; brilliant'. I chose this name not only because of his coat, but because of his personality. He is strong willed and he perseveres, and his bright personality makes him stand out in the herd. Despite all the trials he's been put through, he never lost hope and he kept his chin up. Even when his vision started to go his main concern was helping care for his herd mates as best he could, and making sure that he helped keep their spirits up.
Gender: Stallion
Age: 12
Height: 16 hh

String Color: Pale blue, like the color his eyes were before he was blinded
Bead Color, Shape, Quantity, and Placement: one pastel yellow, one that is fawn colored, one that is white, and one that is green. The yellow, fawn, and white beads will be on the piece of string that is actually around his neck, and the green will be on the loose end of string that comes off the bow. If possible, the yellow and white beads would be a little worn looking because they've been on the longest. The fawn and green beads are newer because they were added by his new owner. All the beads would be round.

Significance: the pale yellow bead stands for his happy nature and charisma, the fawn colored bead stands for an end to his difficulties in life, the white one is for hope, the green one is to represent healing and a balance of energy. He has a total of four beads because the even number represents a balance that is slowly being established in his life through his healing and rehabilitation

Rehabilitation Plan:
The first step in Baahir's rehabilitation plan would be to get him to a vet and let them look him over. He would receive all of his vaccines and his eyes would be checked. To help protect his eyes until they're healed and to stop him losing what remains of his vision he would wear a UV blocking fly mask whenever he's put outside. This will help to keep harmful sun rays from further damaging his eyes. He would also be put on a special diet to help him regain the weight he needs to.
This diet would consist of high quality alfalfa hay, with 5-6 pounds a day being added to his diet to provide extra calories. He would have some rice bran added to his morning feedings, he would be temporarily put on a fattier feed until he gains the needed weight, and probiotics would also temporarily be added to help get his digestive health back in order. The probiotics would be added to his feed immediately, but the rest of the food would be introduced gradually in increasing amounts until the desired feed mix was reached. A hay net will be provided in his stall so that he would have access to the alfalfa hay whenever he wants it, though the amount put in each day would be limited at first so that he doesn't make himself by over eating before his stomach has had time to adjust and get used to all the new foods and being given more than it's been used to.
After the visit from the vet, the next order of business would be to put him with a companion horse, and then get him settled into a herd of calmer horses. His main companion would be Valhalla. The two would be allowed in a pasture together at first and supervised until dominance conflicts have been worked out and they've settled down. At this point they'd be allowed to graze together for a few days before being moved to a small herd consisting of Choctaw, Maggie, and Aspen. These horses were selected because they all have mellow personalities and they would mesh well with Baahir and Valhalla, allowing Baahir to settle down and destress so that the healing process can progress.
After Baahir has been allowed to bond with other horses and been given time to settle into his surroundings, the process of getting him to trust humans would begin. To avoid putting him under stress and keep him from injuring himself because he spooks too badly, the first interactions would be while he is still with the herd, and while his handler is on the opposite side of the fence. Treats would be offered to attract the attention of his herd mates and to show that the people have no intention of harming any of the horses. Baahir will be allowed to approach when he is ready, an will receive treats and (if he'll allow it) a few pets to the nose as a reward.
Once he has become comfortable with approaching people and letting them touch him, he would be halter trained and introduced to grooming equipment so that he can be groomed by hand rather than just by the herd's bonding sessions.

Owner: canis,
Name: Roanoke (Ro for short)
Name Meaning: Roanoke Island was home to a lost colony that
mysteriously disappeared.
Gender: Stallion
Age: 6 years
Height: 16 hh

String Color:
Black

Bead Color, Shape, Quantity, and Placement:
Roanoke has 5 beads total (placement show in pictures). One of them is gold and is enlongated,
while the other 4 are perfect circles that are white in color.

Significance:
The black string shows that this stallion is a warrior. A survivor.
Each white bead represents something that he has gained in being rescued, stuff that he
has never had before: love, a proper home, friends, and a new family. The gold bead represents
the start to his new life. It is strung above the others as a proud display and testament to this
stallion's new beginning.

Rehabilitation Plan:
Roanoke's first days will start with basic care in an attempt to improve his physique and health as he gets
accustomed to his new surroundings. His eyes will be one of the main focuses, and he will wear a mask
to cover his face and protect what little sight he has left. Roanoke will slowly be introduced to the new pastures
and stables so that he is not frightened in the process. His diet will include the necessary feeds, as well as
vitamin supplements to try to improve his health. I plan to call a vet out to check him over during his second
or third day with us so that he has time to rest up a bit beforehand. We will invest in veterinarian advice as
to how to proceed with his diet and exercise. Once we have the okay by the vet, we will slowly start to
introduce him to the rest of the herd.

Roanoke's socialization will start with our other Teke, Isis. We will walk her near him a few times to get him
accustomed to her scent, then we will try an introduction over a fence. If all
goes right, we will continue letting them socialize with a fence between them
until we are sure that Ra is okay with Isis's presence. Then we will try introducing
them without any sort of barrier, and hopefully things will go well. Throughout
the socialization process, Roanoke will be closely monitored for signs of anxiety, stress,
or aggression.

I blink to try to clear my vision. Not luck of course, I noticed that my eye sight is getting worst.I could hardly see at night any more. The chance of me becoming blind is always a fear on my mind. Not to mention that I was brought here by force. I was just with my herd went there people just came out of nowhere and took me. Now I was stuck here in a field without any form of shelter with two mare I don't know. None of us have name either. These people don't care about us at all. It makes me I looked up at the sky, the sun glared in my eyes, and watched the cloud pass. But something made me stop, i looked back at the other horses. Two mares by the way it looked. I whinnies to try to get there attention the darker mare raised her while the other lighter mare was still grazing. Is she ignoring me? I whinnied again louder to try to get a respond from the lighter mare. This time she look at me. I whinnie again. No respond. In fact she looks confused. Wait. Is she deaf? It's strange to think that we had been here for awhile and I never noticed. I know the dark mare has a limp, I'm also sure that you would be able to ride her. Why else would they want us? We are all flawed. I highly doubt it is because they loved us....

-Placement: Where the current 3 circle beads are on the string the rectangular one would go above the current three.

Significance: The beads the color of the sky has to do with a important part of his character. In this time of neglect Akash always looked at the sky as if imagining escaping from his neglective owners. Blue is also a color of hope something Akash took with him for this time of neglect. The cloud like bead is a symbol of himself in a way just going with the flow of life, without a care in the world. It is also a symbol of leaving that life behind. The silver string is a symbol of 'silver linings', meaning looking at a negative with a hopeful view. This describes Akash personality also perfectly. Though he was neglected terrible in his past he's still positive that thing will get better. The simple ribbon and beads also stands for his simplistic nature.

Rehabilitation Plan:
Before I do anything I would let him get acclimated to my place. I want to him to be comfortable at my place before there any else happens to limit the stress on him. This would happen for around 4-7 days it really depends on how quickly Akash becomes comfortable there. I would try to then gain his trust enough that he doesn't completely freak out when he's around me. I would also consult a vet about how to help conserve the vision that he has left. Also, if there's way to get back some vision, maybe by surgery or such. I would also put this on him to prevent vision loss. I would use this one because it less complex then other models and it's doesn't touch his face as much. Being that Akash is quite flighty it would be easier for him to get used to it. Later on I would try to introduce him to a more protective model. I would keep him inside for majority of his time during his recovery to prevent him for getting sick or injured. As for feeding I would go by this article. Simply because I'd refer not mess up and cause Akash harm. The website that I used this is a nutritionist group for equine so I would consisted it trustworthy. I would also check with my vet about feeding when they comes as well. I would also see if there was other supplements that could aid in his recovery. When he's at a decent weight, I would countuine trying to gain his trust.

Other:
Meaning of Name: Akash means wide open space or sky. This goes back to his love of the sky. When he had his vision he loved looking at the sky. In fact you can still caught him trying to make out the sky.
Personality: Akash isn't your normal stallion. While other stallion are bold and show offish, he's meek and flighty. He's shy and a bit of loner because of his mistrust of human that leaked over on horse as well. While it's not impossible to gain his trust it rather hard. He's clever enough to test out if he can trust you. If you pass he may try to walk over to you and talk. He's calm and optimistic in any situation making him a natural leader. He's loyal and can be fierce if he's protecting who he cares about.
Story||Escape: I stare blankly at sky, it's not like I can see it anyways. I imagine the fluffy white cloud passing in front of a pale blue background. I wonder if it's cloudy today or maybe it's a sunny cloudless day. I wish I could see, I feel a prickle of annoyance and

frustration stabs my side at the thought. I hate being blind. I miss simply things, like the being able to see what's around you or being able to see where other horses are. I put my head down to the ground and graze. Sadly, I had not choice in the matter. Though, I wasn't born blind most of the time I wish I was. It happened over time, I guess good eyesight just doesn't run in the family. The earthy taste soil hits by tongue. Looks like there's no more grass in this area. I more back some to find some new ground. At first to was hard being blind, but the other horse and experience helped me get used to it. The owners that we have don't care about as one bit. They come out every once and a while to throw hay. That's only to keep us alive. The grass is far over grazed, all three of us are on the verge of starving. I missed everything about being free, not being here but at last, I am stuck here until I died, then they would get more horses and starve them. It would just be a endless cycle. I hear tires tracking on the dirt and lift my head to the sound as if I could see what it was. It's some sort of car by the sounds of it. I hear a knocking on want I assume is the door. The hear the owner's voices as well with new voice of other humans. The voices that went to yelling real fast. I wonder what's was happen in there. I head other closer to fence careful not go too close being that it was electric. I hear a crashing sound. I spook and try to get away for the fence. I hear the sound of hoofs meaning that the other horses spooked as well. The gate creaks. The kind of creak of somebody opening it. I gallop as fast I can to end of the pasture. I don't know who or what came in here and I don't want to find out. Panic rushes through me I wonder what happen to the other horses. I stop abruptly using the little bit of vision I have to see the fence blocking my escape. What do I do? What do I do!? I rear up trying to attack or at least scared them away. The fact I have not idea what I'm fighting terrifies me. I run around hearing another horse's hoof beat behind me. Relief rushes over me at least one of them still okay.
"Come on!" I hear a voice say frustrated, a human voice. More humans? What do they want? Panic rushes over me again and I speed up. I add in a few kicks hoping that I didn't hit the other horses.
"Joe we are going to have the coral them in the trailer! There no way we are going to catch them!" A human male voice says loudly. I hear the sounds of metal clacking together. After a few minutes as if something stopped working.
"Okay we're ready!" Other man say seeming to be commuting with the man in pasture with us. I hear a loud clapping sound behind me and I bolt forward. I begin ran out the gate when I realized that outside the gate there was the trailer, more humans and whatever they were building before. I would get caught. My hoof dig into as I stop and turn around as fast I can. Then, I make a break for the other side. I listen in closely for other hoof beat against the ground. My heart drops when I only hear my own. What about the others? I wish I could see more than I ever wished to see. I want to know what happened. I want to help them escape. I find myself beginning to tire from my already low energy from the lack of food. They are going to catch me! I think nervous thoughts of what happened to me. My gallop slows to a trot then a walk and finally I stop. I have to let them caught me. I wonder what was going to happen to me. Was it going to be worse or better? I think as they lead me in trailer and closing the door soon after. They drive away from the life I have known for all these years. My future is unsure. I only hope that it will be better for here on out.
Relationships;; Adonis: Adonis and Akash is polar opposites. Adonis is social and ostentatious while Akash is shy and flighty. Simply put there personality different make any form of friendship hard. Adonis is always looking for a fight with the idea that Akash calm nature is a clever trick. When actually, he really rather not fight. If they were to find away to put there head together they would be quite the team. However, that most likely would never happen, it will stay at a game of cat and mouse.
Vidette: It quite hard to hate Vidette. She's sweet, friendly and a complete sweet heart. Obvious, they got along nicely. Vidette tries to help in when ever he needs it; sometimes when he doesn't. Naturally, she feels bad from he for what happened in his past. She feels it's her duty to make sure he's happy here and that he doesn't have to go through that after. She tends to call off Adonis when he picks on Akash.
History: Akash was born wild and in most of his younger year it showed. He was always starting fights and causing havoc. After his capture and being brought to the smuggler ranch, he began to calm down. Within his years of abuse he realized that fighting did nothing. The final blow to his wild side was his blindness. Being that it was hard to see he feel that he couldn't risk fighting and mischief unless it was necessarily. Even when he was rescued he never forget the lessons it taught him. Such as always looking to the bright side, not to start fights and to be careful who you trust. He's the type of horse that learns from bad things instead of letting them control your life and choices.
Poem My past doesn't define me
Neither do my disabitlies
Or vision that's far gone

While they try to mold me
Like a figure made of clay
However they never will

In away that makes me free
Even though I'm caged
I will always be free

-Being around horses
-Being outside
-Friendly and polite horses or peoples
-Mulling over thoughts until he can think of the right choice
-People/horses that care about him and his feelings
Dislikes:
-The dark
-His lack of vision
-Being looked down at
-Horses that treated him differently because of his disability
Why do I want him? I want this boy because I love his backstory. I love the idea of rehabilitation and new beginning. I love the whole idea that all these horse while beautiful have there flaws. I have to admit I'm a sucker for animals with tragic backstory qvq. Then there's the obviously that he's beautiful.
