Ink <3Story :: All the times Wasabi has run into trouble, he never expected this. He's always been an interesting character, and when he was in the wild, he was getting himself in deep water too many times. Maybe that's why on that muggy, overcast morning he was captured. It was one too many, and he never even saw it coming.
Europa was up on a small hilltop, looking over the valley where her herd resided. There were 2 mares, silently grazing. They pawed the snow, swiping it swiftly with their strong hooves so they could reach the snippets of grass underneath. They were all heavily pregnant, including Europa. She shifted her gaze to the pearly stallion. Her eyes locked on him as he flopped about, suddenly cantering a circle around the mares, throwing in a swift buck. The mares stamped their feet in annoyance. They didn't bother to lift their heads up from the grass, never amused by the stallion's antics. Nothing unusual there. He turned sharply, circling around the other way. If Europa could roll her eyes, she would.
Wasabi felt a lingering thought dance in the back of his mind. It was an anxious feeling, not something that Wasabi usually felt. A rush of adrenaline surged through his veins. He tensed, facing the wind. It was only slightly noticeable, but he could smell something burning. The strong scent of fire kicked him into action. He whinnied loudly, circling his mares. They didn't bother to look up at him, and in frustration he kicked out at one of them, biting them swiftly as his leg shaved past. The mare sprung to life, bolting forward a few strides before correcting herself and putting her ears back at the stallion. The expression was wiped off of her face when she caught onto the scent too - the roasting of a camp fire meant men were nearby.
Europa watched in frustration as Wasabi bit one of the mares. She was ready to gallop down and show him straight. She was in charge after all. But as the mare stopped too, facing the wind, Europa stopped to smell the air. She smelt fire, and suddenly felt what Wasabi had been feeling. She hopped down the hill, sitting back on her hindquarters as she leapt swiftly down the decline like a mountain goat. She cantered towards the herd with her head high in the sky. The longer time went by, the closer the men seemed. And the quicker the herd had to act. Europa headed straight for the mares, circling them then moving forward, the anxious mares following. She needed to get them out of the area and into the valley that they had discovered. It was a small clearing surrounded by cliff - the only way in was to slide down the incredibly steep decline, and the only way out was to climb back up. Europa began to move off with the mares, quickening her pace. The shiny stallion had other ideas.
As the herd moved off, Wasabi decided to go the other way. He wanted to see just what was causing the fire. Europa whinnied out at h

im but he didn't listen, glancing over at her as she led the other mares in frustration away to the hidden valley. He set off at a trot, his tail held like a banner. He peered through the trees into the clearing. There was a small hut with a campfire going. Two horses were tacked up and ground tied, cropping the grass quietly. The two men were roasting some sort of meat on the fire. Wasabi curled his nostrils in disgust, snorting slightly. He froze as the two horses looked up, whinnying loudly. He scrambled back quickly as the men looked up, spotting their prize. They ran to their horses, leaping up and kicking them into a wild gallop. The stallion's heart dropped as he ran for his life, his legs shaking. They felt like they were going to cave in under him as he shook. He galloped wildly, scrambling so he didn't trip. Wasabi slowly re-gainined his confidence as he led the men on a wild and windy trail. He smirked as he leapt to the side, taking a U-turn. He ducked as a rope was swung at his neck. As Wasabi came out into a clearing, unfamiliar ground was spread out before him. His heart skipped a beat as he didn't know where he was. Wasabi's eyes watered with sweat as he dug up the ground. He had to find a way to lose them. He tore back into the cover of trees, trying to figure out where he was. He flung himself forwards, picking up the pace as his legs stretched underneath him. He saw a cliff in the distance. It was not a very wide one - with a landing on the other end. He knew how to trick them. Their horses could never jump that distance with such a weight on their backs. Wasabi was going to fast to back out now. He gathered his courage in the final few strides, rocking back on his hind and rocketing forward over the gap. He turned to look back at the men who had quickly yanked on their horse's reins, skidding to a stop before the edge. He reared, teasing the men. If horses could laugh, he would be cracking up. However, he wasn't laughing when as fast as lighting, a rope flew across the cliff and hooked around his neck. He dropped his front feet back down in shock, pulling against the rope. No matter how hard he pulled the horses on the other side didn't give. He was trapped. For once, the shiny stallion had learnt his lesson.
Wasabi couldn't be more thankful that he was saved from his captors, yet he will still regret the day when he took it too far.
Theme Song :: Ironically, Wasabi's theme song is
Life In Technicolour by Coldplay. Despite his lack of vision, his life is still colourful.
