We ended up editing his hair. We weren't happy with it the first time honestly, and now he looks much better.
He still has a fur curl like Chester, but it's now in with the more gentle waves inherited from Pur. He the short spiky bits and short pieces of hair that spring free from under his longer, braided hair.
