Why does he/she seem sad?: He is lonely, but the strange new environment and unfamiliar lizards and people have made him too anxious to try to approach anyone. He's so overwhelmed all he can do is cower in his cage as far away from everyone as possible.
How did you coax it out of the cage?: By sitting still and waiting patiently while putting out my hand with a little bit of food in it until he feels brave enough to come out and smell me.

Why is this one so hyper?: Because he's used to having tons of open space to climb, run, and frolic. The little cage is a far cry from the vast desert home he came from.
What it's favorite thing to do?: He loves playing in the sand, especially digging and burrowing. What he loves the most is burying himself in it, leaving only the tip of his little nose uncovered so he can stay there as long as he wants. That lets him keep cool when it gets too hot, warm when it gets too cold, and even helps rub off old skin when he sheds.
