Pocket Penguins- Litter up! Check the News!

Pocket Penguins are a tiny species of bird closely
related to ordinary penguins, as well as other fowl, such as ducks. However,
they are their own species. In general, they are quite friendly and love to be
around people, but unfortunately for them, they have a poor sense of
direction and cannot location owners on their own. Who knows, there
may even be a few rare subspecies of Pocket Penguins that are undiscovered
so far...

Pocket Penguins come in almost any imaginable colors and color combinations,
designs, and sometimes even animations. They stand only up to 5 inches tall,
most often shorter, and weigh only ounces under a pound. They range widely in
many personalities. Females are smaller than males, but no less brightly colored.
They are native to areas high in the mountains, not near the sea unlike normal
penguin. Oddly enough, they eat almost any food, and are able to survive in many
climates, not just the high mountains.

To adopt a Pocket Penguin, the adopter must name it, and have space for it.
(An adopter may only have up to 20, I may change this.) There will be events
hosted, raffles, adoption, a pound for readoption, maybe staff hired, possibly
other posted related to this. Pocket penguins begin as an egg, and once all
in a litter are adopted, I will post code drops to the actual Pocket Penguins.
Who knows, perhaps these creatures will even have rarities!

So, instead of me rambling on! Why don't you go adopt one for yourself?

Who likes rules? Anyone, anyone? Hmm, perhaps not, but we all know that they are important and are meant to be followed

1.) Follow all CS rules, this shouldn't be needed. After all, if you're not following CS
rules, you really don't belong on CS in the first place.

2.) Follow my rules, and any Staff I may come to have.

3.) Never, repeat, never edit an adopted pet, change the link, or steal
lineart without permission. You will be banned.

4.) This is just a etiquette rule. If you have 10 Pocket Penguins, and someone has
none, give them a chance to adopt. This is not required, just a polite thing.

5.) No complaining if the Penguin you wanted was taken, or whatever the problem
was. Feel free to tell me something and I'll do my best to help, but don't whine about
it. Not that anyone would.

6.) You may adopt only one Penguin per litter.

7.) No spamming the topic please! (Not including bumping, bumping is fine.)

8.) Have fun!

I know these seem harsh! But if you get to know me you'll see I'm pretty easy going, sort of.

Break a rule? If you have, I'll tell you, otherwise you haven't. Every time you break a rule, you get a "strike," get three total and you're banned! Terrible maybe, but there has to be something. Hopefully no one will ever get banned!

A "raft" is a group of penguins, hence each litter is called a "raft."

This is not based on a "first come, first served" standard. Instead, I will use the random number generator to choose a user who will receive the penguin. Only eggs are shown below, once all have at least two entries, I will post a code drop with the penguins. You may then put then in your signature if you want. (Remember, you may win only one penguin per raft, you may still aplly for as many as you wish though.)

The Shop

"Welcome to the Shop, here you can purchase items for your penguins with our currency! Ice cubes! I'm Lime, the shop manager, although I bet you can guess why I'm called that. Unfortunately, we are waiting on a major shipment, so the items for sale haven't arrived yet. You can check back later though."

-Currency Exchanges-

You can trade CS pets for ice cubes here. Note that this currency can also be used in any other adoption center so may run in the future as well.

I do not expect pets higher than this, but feel free to ask! Certain pets gain more Ice Cubes! Such as Wish List pets, which earn you ten more for each pet!.

The Shop is open
The items come I'm any color, but to determine the color if you buy one you will need to be descriptive. Such as "Dark red," or a color code like "#800000."

Potions can be used for various reasons, each one unique.

Items

Note- items may look blurry now, but this is due to a transparent effect. It will not look this way after completion.

20 -Scarves, this item fits both male and female penguins and is compatible for either.

15 -A top hat, perfect for a little penguin who wants to be formal, or if you just want to dress your penguin up. They come as black, but with a band of color, which you can decide.

10 - A little halo to make your penguin innocent or adorable looking, of if you just feel like it! And guess what's better?! This item comes in any color!

Potions

30 -Mutiplicated Potion, a breeding potion allowing your penguins to have 6 eggs instead up 3 or 4. (I apologize for the expense, but doing three more penguins is a lot of work!)

Animation

Want to add animation to your Penguin? Believe it or not, it's perfectly possible. Unfortunately, this can be very difficult and tedious, so it isn't exactly free. For now, I am searching for a better way to do it. Still, feel free to make a suggestion! I'm always open to offers!

You may breed your penguins, or breed your penguin with another person's penguin of the opposite gender, with their permission and agreement. All you have to do is fill put the proper form with the link to your penguin(s) and pay a fee of 45 Ice Cubes. You are free to use any breeding potions found in the store on your penguins to help with the outcome of the offspring.

Remember, Pocket Penguins have their mate for a lifetime, and need to use a special potion to change mates. Without a Multiplicated Potion, the Pocket Penguins can have 3 or 4 eggs.

You may have many different outcomes, it depends on the parents rarity and colors, as well as random chance.

If one Penguin belongs to another person, that person must confirm your form.

Current Event:

To help spread Pocket Penguins across CS, something's needed. A banner!

You job is to design and create a banner, however you want, pretty simple. There's no limit to how many entries you can do, and almost no rules. You're free to use the lineart in your banner.

It must however contain the following-

The words "Pocket Penguins"
The rest is up to you!

Of course there's a prize. And as a prize if you win, you get a custom Penguin. So far, you can only win customs through contests, here's your chance! The custom can use simple animation, and as many colors, line edits as you want, as long as it's possible for me to do. There will be a runner-up if we have enough entries.

Runner up wins some ice cubes, I haven't decided the amount yet.

You don't have to enter, it's really just for fun.

-Rarity Reference-
Remember that items and animations do not change the penguin's rarity.

If you do not know your penguin's rarity, check the archive, it will be stated there.

Common- One type, plain.
Uncommon- Has a pattern, a minor mutation.
Rare- Has a major mutation, many colors, many patterns, or came from an event
Ultra Rare- The only one of its kind.

Common Penguins, they have no mutations and are a solid color, not with patterns or an image on their stomach spot. They can be produced by any other rarity of penguin, and produce only common offspring if bred with another common. If bred with a uncommon, or rare, or mutated penguin, their is a percentage of chance that the offspring will be of that species.

Uncommon Penguins are normal penguins in a way, but a little different. The Uncommon group included quiet a variety, slightly mutated, simpler patterns. No example is given because it is not specific, and many options can happen. The same is true for the Rare group.

Rare Penguins are penguins that came from an event, have a major mutation, have many colors, or many patterns. Even a wider group than the Uncommoms, but less common. Can produce commons, but has a rare chance to produce other rares.


Ultra Rare Penguins, as the name suggests, are extremely rare and elusive. They are the only one of there kind. Most customs are Ultra Rare. Ultra Rare penguins do not produce Ultra Rare penguins like themselves, but can produce Ultra Rare penguins very different from themselves on occasion. (Hence the "only one of their kind" feature.)
