I blink rapidly and try to adjust my eyes to the lights. I was great with the music, Rock was my favorite. I lean against the wall and look around, seeing if I knew anybody. I didn't, of course. I did just move here after all. I looked at Noah, unsure of what to do.

I frowned slightly. "There has to be something. I mean, no one can be just, well, completely bland. Maybe in your eyes you're bland, but not in everyone else's." I said, looking at the numbers on the metal plates above the doors, remembering the door number to the art room.

Alex frowns and shrugs. "Well I guess I'm somewhat artistic and techy."

I smiled, nodding my head. "I like to draw, paint sometimes. What do you like to do?" I asked, stating something something about myself as I skipped down the hallway.

Alex shoves his hands into his pockets and follows Jacey. "I like to read mostly."

Noah nodded for her to follow, then started to walk through the small crowd of party- goers. There was several fistbumps and 'Hey!'s. He ignored his sisters friends. There was even one guy with a drink in his hand, stumbling.

I followed him through the crowded room and smiled at a few people but mostly looked down. I noticed a cute guy and winked at him but kept walking, I didn't know if these people were creeps or not. "Where are we going?" I asked

I smiled, nodding and agreeing with Alex. "I like reading, it takes me to a new world." I comment, seeing the room swim into sight. "But I like writing them, more. Making my own realities." I said, and my words meant much more than I implied.

Noah didn't hear her but kept walking. He jogged up the stairs and, turning around the corner, disappeared.

I sighed and followed him up the stairs. Dang, is he not as exhausted as me? I thought, feeling the aching pain in my legs. We ran a lot and now these stairs were killing me. I finally got to the too and turned the corner after him.
