After explore more parts of the Artic a couple of scientists found this strange corps that a feeble looking fox was carelessly nibbling on. The scientists went over to see what has been killed or just simply died from far away it looked like a dog almost. They couldn't really tell what it was the head was berried in the snow but so the scientists surprise it was a deer like creature yet to be named. They put the corps into a plastic bag taking it back to there lab, finding a new species hit headlines and people were going crazy.
Even though the scientist were still a bit exited like most things the popularity soon died down and they could find no more corps nor live specimens. To that they counted it as a hoax and clearly as that went on with there quote on quote useful studies. After a year a scientist that still believed this so called "new species" was true taking a small crew he left.
They found nothing so they decided to leave but then they herd a haunting cry that sounded almost like a caribou but sounded almost like it was saying javoo not exact but almost. The team went out to see what it was and they saw a small deer curled up in the blizzard shivering. Seeing it was small they picked it up taking it inside even though scientist should leave nature alone he just couldn't let it freeze. When he picked it up he saw that its leg was caught in a snare.
He took it inside and saw it was what he was looking for exited he phone and were picked up instantly. For the sound he herd they called the strange small deer like creature a Javu. Seeing that there rarely find they counted the Javu a red list species then put the Javu so lovingly named Javue into a zoo were someone takes her home everyday to study more
After a while of watching this little Javu they have figured out a few things about them
Appearance of Javus
Javus are small species only about 2 feet and 25 pounds about the size of a small goat, when newly born there round the size of a rabbit. Being in the deer family mainly in the whitetail deer genealogy there body figure isn't that much different.
There necks are long and stocky in comparison to there slender legs, but they live in the artic the weather is harsh in the winter. Unlike a few deer there coat never changed from winter to spring there fur is thin on there bodied but have a thick under-coat that keep them both warm or cool. The neck has thick fur to keep the blood flowing freely to the brain along with the ends of there legs. Unlike deer there hooves are like horses witch surprisingly don't hinder them in movement on the ice. The legs thick fur that grow beneath the knee covering the back of the hooves over the weak spot to keep ice from getting into the tinder part of the toe.
As we guess from the contained specimen and the ones occasional found dead that a few markings stay the same in every species, there is a black ring close to the nose and covers the lower jaw along with the black tipped ears. They come in a variety of markings so many we can't name but every one is unique in there own way.
All also have large eyes that help them see at night, but unlike most deer they have two rows of teeth we guess since food is scare in the winter/rough that they need two rows to help pull out of the snow and chew. There ears are large in compassion along with there plume like tail.
In addition to normal deer they also have racks even though small witch adds a relief from pochers just hunting for them. The female have none on there head while the males come up to there ears. There too small for protection so we guess there for display for the rut.
We now believe that they are an off branching breed from the rare Pudu.
Behavior
Javus are strictly vegetarian eating only plants once in a while snacking on there favorite treat berry. We don't assume that there big herd animals they normally stay alone, middle, or large size herd either way the do pretty well. They tend to hide then the few burrows that Artic foxes leave making them bigger with there hooves and antlers during the winter. While in the spring and summer there fur blends nicely if the coat is brown, they blend the best if the coat is dappled during the fall.
There naturally timid and mainly hunted by foxes, seals, poler bear, wolves, and quite possibly humans now that they were discovered.
For now not much is known but we will hopefully find out more.
Habitat
Javas are only found in the Artic and overheat easly in un-natural habitats we dont think they live all throughout the Artic but in a few parts but were not sure about it.

Art of her.
Chocolate is a shy and reserved creature, speaking only when the situation is in dire need of intervention; otherwise, she prefers to remain inconspicuous. She enjoys the occasional company of other creatures (both of the Javu and others), however, she is just as content in solitude. She rather enjoys exploring the antarctic landscape, though she is cautious in these expeditions, for she cannot blend well into her surroundings to hide from predators.
Background:
I watched my breath curl in from of me, before it drifted upwards and disappeared into the pale sky. There had been a blizzard last night, so I stepped with caution through the thick clumps of snow, my hooves sinking slightly with each step.
I gazed in wonder at the destruction around me, trees were twisted and broken, their limbs scattered all around me, and even the occasional creatures that had been unfortunate in their escape from the icy clutches, were strewn out in snow, bodies cold and lifeless. I kept moving, skirting the destruction; nosing the snow to try and find some of the exclusive lichen to stave my growing hunger.
Suddenly, I stiffened. A sharp breeze had drifted my way, I was all too familiar with the scent carried upon it; Wolves.
