 You may own four regular JBDs and one JBD from the nursery (aka a bred baby) for a total of five JBDs.

Question! Does that mean, seeing the adopts are closed and probably won't open again, that I can only get 1 JBD, namely a bred one? ^^

not at all! you just cant own 5 normal JBDs ( which, of course, is impossible now )
you can own as many NBs as your slots can fill o v o
