General Rules
。Adoption limit is 2 per person per month
。You may adopt 2 from one pair or 1 from two separate pairs
。The limit is reset for everyone on the 1st of each month

What's a Moei?
MO-ee, rhymes with joey

"Moei", derivative of the word Moiety, meaning one of two equal parts: half a twin.
Moei always come in pairs, reflections of each other. The Left Moei faces right, and the Right Moei faces left.
Pairs of Moei can be adopted out separately, but it is encouraged for the owners to make attempts at friendship.
Moei can not breed with their other half.

Left Moei tend to be stronger, with a dominant, outgoing personality. They are rooted to the physical world and have superior control over their bodies, lending their movements grace and agility.

Right Moei are shyer, preferring to observe while blending in to the surroundings. Right Moei tend to be more clumsy, as if they haven't fully developed their physical senses. As they grow, they tend to be the ones who develop more unusual talents, such as telepathy or precognition.

SIZE

From head to tail, Moei are an impressive 2 meters long, but over half of that is all tail. Still, they can be quite a force to be reckoned with!

DIET

Moei feed off emotions, a byproduct that's abundant in humans. That's why they like to hang around us so much! They especially like the flavor of happiness, so it's in their best interest to keep their human happy.

Moei also love junkfood. Chips, ice cream, cookies, those sort of things. Physical food is not a necessary part of their diet though, and you can have a perfectly healthy Moei that never eats (but perhaps not a very satisfied one)!

Adopting a Moei

General Info
。You can only win a maximum of 2 per month, but you can apply for up to 4!
。It's possible to own both Moei in a pair, but you'll need to apply for each separately.
。"Prettying up" the adoption form is not necessary, but you can do it if you really want to. It does not effect the outcome much.
。Only one pair of Moei is open for applications at any time, all other completed Moei are waitlisted in the Moeidex for preview.

Sniping
。You can "snipe" waitlisted Moei with a Soul Snipe, found in the Item Shop.
。Sniping bypasses the hassle of competing with other people, allowing instant ownership.
。One Soul Snipe will get 1 Moei.
。Sniping only works on waitlisted Moei; as soon as applications open they can not be sniped.

Bribes
。An optional part of the form is a bribe of CS pets/items. These count for 20% of an application, so even if you offer an amazing bribe you still may not win if there's a better form overall.
。Bribes do not have to be wishlist.
。Bribes should be sent as TRADE SUGGESTIONS, and will be cancelled if your application doesn't win.

Tryout Art
。Drawing art for the Moei is another optional part of the form. These count for 30% of an application, so even if you have amazing art you still may not win if there's a better form overall.
。You are limited to 3 pieces of art per application.

Creating a Custom Moei

General Info
。Customs do not count towards your monthly adoption limit!
。Customs must be original, and should not be copying designs you don't own.
。To create your own Custom, you will need a Life Orb or an Ultra Life Orb, found in the Item Shop.
。You do not have to use the orb upon purchase. It will stay in your inventory until you decide to use it.

LIFE ORB
。Using the Life Orb Allows you to create a Custom.
。Waiting period is around 1 week after your Custom Form is accepted.
。One orb creates a pair of Moei, 1 Left and 1 Right.
。Left and Right Moei are always perfect mirrors. They can not have different patterns.

ULTRA LIFE ORB
。An Ultra Life Orb does the same as above, with the addition of lineart changes (up to 30%).
。Left and Right Moei are always perfect mirrors. Lineart changes effect both equally.
。You will be invited to color-in the Moei lines on Oekaki, which is an optional but highly recommended step.

CUSTOM TRANSFER
。Customs may be transferred once to another user, through the Owner Transfer form.
。The other user may TRADE back any of their own Moei, as long as it has never been transferred before.
。Transfers are permanent and irreversible, so be certain of your decision before filling out the form!
。Once transferred, the Moei will gain a * symbol in its ID, and can not be transferred again.

Breeding Info

General Info
。Breeding does not count towards your monthly adoption limit!
。To begin, you need 1 Left Moei and 1 Right Moei not from the same pair, and a Love Potion (from Item Shop).
。Moei are agender. Humans can assign them genders, but all that matters for breeding is Left and Right.
。When breeding your Moei with someone else's, both parties must fill out a Breeding Request form.

WHAT TO EXPECT
。Offspring are always produced in pairs, with litter size ranging from 1-3 pairs.
。Pups arrive around 1 week after your Breeding Request form is accepted.
。Left Moei tend to pass on markings, while Right Moei tend to pass on colors, but mutations can occur.
。Mutations such as horns, wings, etc have a 50% chance of passing on from either parent.

PICKING A PUP
。Each owner gets to pick 1 from the litter before the rest (if any) are adopted out here.
。The owner providing the Love Potion gets first pick.
。If you own both Moei, you can pick 2 from the litter.
。You must fill in a Pup Pickup form for the pup you want.

ADOPTING OUT YOUR PUP
。Bred pups may be transferred once to another user, through the Owner Transfer form.
。The other user may TRADE back any of their own Moei, as long as it has never been transferred before.

Player Points AKA "PP"
。PP is the currency of this shop, and can be obtained by trading in CS pets or through participation.
。Your PP balance can be found listed under Owners (even if you are a non-owner).
。PP can be awarded to quality applications, even if it doesn't win.
。PP can also be awarded at random to those who spend effort developing their Moei (through RP, fanart, etc).

Single Use Items
。Single use items show up in your Inventory (listed under Owners), and disappear once used.

Accessories
。Accessories show up under the Moei it was bought for (found in Moeidex).
。Accessories can not be transferred between Moei.
。You may mix and match multiple accessories on a single Moei.

Q. Can I co-own my Moei with a friend?
A. No, a single Moei may not be co-owned.

Q. Can me and my friend apply for a pair of Moei?
A. Yes, and it is encouraged for owners of a pair to be friends, but remember you each have to apply separately!

Q. Can I apply for my friend?
A. No, unfortunately.

Q. I submitted an application and didn't win! How come I didn't get pp?
A. PP is not guaranteed for anything. It is an incentive, given out at my discretion.

Q. What do the ID#s stand for?
A. The ID# of a Moei is simply made up of its birthday (yymmdd), plus a letter indicating Left (L) or Right (R). Some Moei will have an extra letter in their ID#, indicating Custom (C) or Bred (B). An asterisk (*) in the ID means it was transferred once.

Q. If I breed a Custom, will the pup be considered "Bred" or "Custom"?
A. It will be considered Bred.
