End date is UNDECIDED
I think I just might make this thing an ongoing artist-hiring majigger. Like whenever someone comes along that I want to hire, hey you're hired.
Info:
-Looking for about 2-5 more artists, BUT there is no set number! If I only 2 people win, then only 2 people are hired, but if 30 billion people win, then 30 billion people are hired. It depends on what I see.
-End date is undecided. I will decide the end date depending on how many people enter/how quickly.
Judges:
MEH.
(judge spots reserved for current CTD staff, if they wish to)

A cape-tailed dragon, or a CTD, is a peaceful, mountain-dwelling fluffy breed of dragon, named for their long flat tails that quite resemble capes.
···✦▼✦···
Due to recent inactivity on the concept of CTDs, the species is being 're-opened', along with some changes and an artist competition to help boost it back into shape with some new members!
Basic Comp. Rules
▣Do not complain if you don't win.▣
▣You may add add-ons/modifications such as horn changes, ears, hair/manes, etc., so long as you do not change their signature tails▣
▣Know that line edits alone will not boost your chance of winning. This is a competition in search of artists capable of making creative designs, not outlines▣
▣Maximum of 3 entrees▣
▣There is no minimum time limit on entries. The time it takes to produce quality work varies from person to person.▣
▣Especially since I've seen some competitions where the rules included a minimum work limit of 30 minutes.▣
▣And then the person just leaves Oekaki open for 20 minutes but really only does 10 minutes of work.▣
▣So that requirement is just kinda useless and doesn't do much.▣
▣Please do put some work into your entry.▣
▣Please do NOT make an entry with just an extremely simple design such as random gradients or body one color with horns another color, etc, and expect to win.▣
▣You do not have to use the miniature version in the top right. That is just for reference if your char has a complicated design on the back of its flat tail.▣
▣You MAY keep the designs you make IF YOU WIN, but may have to replicate it again on the main thread (or create another thread for it on the main thread, with just the image in the description)▣
Staff Regulations (if you win)
Please PM me if interested. Slight revamping of the rules is in progress.
▣What will definitely be required: Monthly activity and willingness to participate in events▣
(▣by monthly activity, know that exceptions can always be made for real-life issues. That just applies to if you're active on CS but doing completely unrelated things the whole time▣)
Extra Credit
▣3 entries--I like to see variation!▣
▣Creative and unique designs▣
▣While line edits may help boost your chances, it won't help it all if you drew some hair but still had just random rainbow gradient for colors▣
▣More likely to be hired if you include something in the description as well that actually gives me a reason to want to hire you, not just posting something and not really say anything about it▣
Other Opportunities
Design artists aren't the only staff here!
Other staff that are needed:
-Archivist is taken
Moderators - To become a CTD moderator staff, you do not have to be a design/artist staff as well. All moderators begin as Minimods; Minimods can handle copying/rulebreaking issues, but cannot issue a strike/warning without consulting me first, and should report any issues regarding CTDs that you find.
After a while of being a good minimod, you are promoted to Absolute Mod, and can handle situations as you wish. However, to dish out a strike/warning, you still have to notify me of it so that I can make a recording of it (3 strikes = CTD ban)
Other ways that you can help:
Don't feel like being as devoted as a staff member, but still want to help out the species in a way?
Other ways you can help are by making small signature-banners, which are a quick, easy, and helpful thing to do. You can also help us get Affiliations with other adoptables--preferably CTD-like adoptables, i.e., fluffy ones, and/or by making art that we would be happy to use to decorate threads with.
Other than that, there's not too much except by taking part in the CTD community!
