Leafpelt padded through the trees, eager to receive her nine lives from StarClan, their warrior ancestors.Would they accept her? Surely they would. She thought. This was her second time going to the Shining cave, and she was excited. I wonder who will give me my nine lives? She wondered. Eventually, they reached the shining cave. She glanced at her medicine cat. Quietly, she padded into the cave and put her nose to the sparkling crystal. She quickly fell asleep. She woke up in camp, rows and rows of StarClan cats standing before her. Leafpelts mother came up to her. "Greetings, Leafpelt. With this life, I give you courage. Use it to lead your clan through tough times." Leafpelt had to dig her claws into the ground to stop herself from screeching.
