Simas LoreSimas are creatures with incredible powers, walking the earth with the powers of the gods. Some obtained them through peaceful and natural means, while others tampered with dark magic. Regardless of how they came to be, some simas will be found more often while others will be rather elusive. Do you dare venture in to the world of simas and become familiar with their ways?Water
Water simas were originally celebrated for their communication with the lifeblood of simas ; water. As one of the “main” elements, they were considered a powerhouse of simas and almost gods. Their leader was a kind, but prideful, leader who saw only the best in his prized jewel. His pride, however, eventually led him to committing an unspeakable offense and led to the destruction of the trust water simas had built up.
Considering them to be gods, their leader sought to increase their power and thus take control of the entire species. He began to experiment with his abilities, researching the other sima tribes in order to learn more about them all. Eventually, he began to meet with the leader of the Mind tribe despite the warnings of others. He desired a firm control over other simas, and though he could not mentally take control like those of the Mind, he found he could exert physical control through the water within other sima’s bodies.
However, as powerful as this ability was, it came at a cost. A water sima who defied the laws of the universe, taking a power they were not rightfully born with, lost control of their abilities and eventually could do no more than cause ripples in a puddle. Devastated, the leader withdrew from his studies and attempted to isolate the tribe. However, the damage was done.
Water simas have the choice to use this ability, as they were born with the right, but it is a final ability that drains the control of a sima and thus renders them almost powerless. Eve with this knowledge, the other tribes distrusted those of the water like they did the mind and the tribe fell down in ranks. Though they have gathered a bit of their lost trust over the years, their leader’s actions still linger heavily in the minds of others.
Fire
Fire simas are notable for their control of fire, a gift bestowed first upon their leader many years ago. Originally, fire simas were simply warmer than most and had hotter breath, but had no control over the element itself. They were content with their lack of powers, however, and lived to host celebrations and enjoy life to the fullest every night. They were known for their extravagant parties among the other simas, but ridiculed for their useless jewels. They ignored these critics, however, focusing on being the most hospitable simas.
One day, however, their leader came across a creature of unknown origins. The creature was close to death, lying on the ground in it’s own pool of blood. The leader took it upon himself to care for the creature in secret, fearing what the other tribes would do. Every day, at the end of the celebrations and in the dead of night, he would bring the creature food and water along with blankets and bandages. As the days passed, the creature became stronger and stronger until he had finally recovered.
When the leader returned the next day, he was shocked to see the true height of the creature. Though the creature appeared menacing, his voice said otherwise as he addressed the leader. He acknowledged the warmth and kindness the fire simas seemed to display, thus bestowing upon him a single drop of his blood. With that, the blood of the dragon merged with that of the leader’s and thus became apart of him. With the blood of the dragon, he found himself able to grasp control over fire.
As a true gift to the entire tribe, the dragon bestowed a drop of blood upon ever one of them until they had all gained the power of fire. With that gift, the dragon took his leave and disappeared, never to be seen again. The fire simas thrived with their new abilities, finding that their children also inherited the abilities. They had now become true to their name.
Light
Light simas were originally known as the balance, or ying yang, simas that associated with those of the Shadow tribe. The two tribes remained as one, seeing the harmony that either side brought to the world and striving to keep the peace between the two sides and other tribes. They were the peacekeeper of simas, bringing light to the blind and shadows to the prideful. Their focus was so involved with that of other simas that they eventually let the tension between each other finally crack the wall that had kept them together for so long.
The two tribes began to argue with each other, each believing their method of peace to be superior than the others. Their arrogance overwhelmed the two and war broke out within the clan that was once known as the most peaceful simas. Fully convinced that the other side was wrong and attempting to mislead other simas, the shadow and light simas pulled other tribes in to their war and eventually caused the rift that remains today between all the tribes. Recognizing their differences, the two tribes finally split up and left each other to their own methods. The light simas continue to try to revive the peace that once held a firm grip over the tribes, but their wariness of the Shadows has caused them to become quite paranoid and reluctant to travel anywhere outside of their homeland. Though they welcome strangers, they rarely ever leave their tribe.
Death
In contrast to their affiliation, those of the Death sima have a natural fear of the loss of their lives. In the beginning, the leader of the Death tribe sought to extend the lives of his tribemates and thus save them from the unknown future after death. With the aid of a long forgotten ghoul sima, he made contact with Death in order to strike a deal. Death was more than happy to give them a stronger grip on their souls, but not without a price. In return, he stole away the powers of the tribe against the leader’s protests, leaving them powerless.
Mourning the loss of their powers, the Death tribe spent many years struggling to survive, as they had all grown so used to their abilities. Though the Death tribe had originally been a simple club of simas form all tribes, it eventually became known as it’s own tribe due to the blackness of the jewels they possessed. As the years passed, the tribe learned to take care of themselves through their own abilities rather than relying on those of the jewels. They became physically and mentally stronger than most other simas, though some are known to still attempt to use the power they lost centuries ago. They live incredibly longer compared to other simas, but are still able to be killed through physical wounds or illness. The only ability they have left with their jewel is to communicate with Death one last time, allowing them to pass over to the other side early if they choose to. Ironic due to the nature of their state, the Death jewels allows the simas to embrace Death one last time without pain or fear.
The newborn Death simas are not originally born with the Death jewel; they choose to accept the deal and follow the terms Death set for them. Those who do not accept it are not considered true Death simas.
Moon
Those of the moon tribe revered the peace and quiet the night provided, especially under the illumination of the moon. Their leader is very firm and strict about this, requiring complete silence during the night in honor of the moon. Originally, the moon sima’s jewels were simply the power to absorb. They took in the elements around them for a brief period, allowing them to accomplish much in a short period of time.
However, their infatuation and reverence of the moon led them to begin focusing on absorbing the power of the moon every night. Eventually, their jewels took in so much of the moon’s power they eventually lost the ability of absorption. Devastated by their lost, and clueless about their new abilities, the simas would gather outside every night and pray to the moon. For years, they ha taken the powers of other simas for their own, but now they were on their own. Similar to the Death simas, they were forced to learn how to properly do what they needed on their own. Seen as disrespectfully stealing what was not rightfully theirs, the other clans shunned and refused to help them as they learned how to survive. For a time, it seemed as if they might perish.
However, one day, they began to work at night rather than the day. They found that while they could no longer absorb abilities, they were stronger under the under the moon's realm. Their eyes glowed with the power the moon bestowed on to them and they eventually became nocturnal in nature. Though their position within the tribes is somewhat shaky, Moon simas have long since taken back their place as one of the more powerful tribes even when their power is limited to the night.
Nature
Nature simas are known to be the most rigid and strict of the tribes, quick to offend but easy to appease. They are the closest tribe to the Earth and are considered one of the main powers of the tribes. Nature simas are regarded as the main rulers, though their control has waned overtime due to the tensions among the tribes. They are said to have been born from the soil, raised underground for 30 days and 30 nights to ensure their connection with nature perfect.
In the times of peace, they governed the tribes based on their beliefs of how the world should be treated an behave. They see a specific order in nature, separating certain tribes from others to ensure harmony. Nature simas created the laws while the balance simas enforced them. For a time, the tribes accepted their judgement and wisdom and rarely ever clashed with them.
After tensions grew, however, Nature simas were regarded as cruel dictators and cast aside in favor of separate rulers for each tribe. Determined that the trees spoke only the truth and the animals simply echoed them, the Nature simas strive to regain their power in the tribes and once against assert control over everybody. Regardless of their intentions, Nature simas are peaceful beings and would never use any underhanded actions to get control. They see the order of nature and are simply biding their time as they wait for the opportunity to seize control and quell the tension.
Color
Color simas were once the underlings of the light tribe, regarded as an offbranch of the light rather than their own unique tribe. Their abilities were unknown to them for the longest time, as the light simas rarely ever allowed them to indulge in the history of their jewels. The light simply saw them as inferior to them and thus property rather than an equal. For a time, those of the color simas believed this and simply followed their leaders guidance and wisdom.
A few years after tensions escalated in to war between the Shadow and Light, Color simas were approached by other tribes that sided with the Shadows in order to cause chaos and destruction among the Light tribe to assist the Shadow. The color simas, however, were peaceful creatures who wanted nothing more than to disappear. They wished for isolation and separation from the other tribes, eventually running away from the Light tribe in order to seek refuge in the forest.
Upon doing this, they found freedom. They began to develop their own tribe and home in the forest, eventually learning about the power of their jewels. After a few months, they found that they had the ability of camouflage. It was an imperfect invisibility that still suited their needs, as they wanted nothing to do with the other tribes an preferred to disappear among the forest.
Eventually, however, they found isolation to be a lonely existence and thus returned to the tribes to reinstate themselves as their own tribe rather than siding with the Light once more. They currently live a rather peaceful and still somewhat isolated life within the tribes, though their hatred for the Light can never be washed away. They enjoy the presence of the Nature simas, as they prefer to camouflage with the natural environment.
Shadow
Shadow simas were originally known as the balance, or ying yang, simas that associated with those of the Light tribe.
The shadows simas have long since given up on repairing the peace that once thrived among the tribes, keeping to their shadows and warding off intruders form their lands. They have grown to be quite hostile and detest simas from other tribes.
Earth
The Earth tribe was a former offbranch of the Nature simas, those who found their ability to converse with Nature itself nonexistent. Instead, they found they could use willpower and brute force rather than persuasion to bend the Earth to their will. Their existence within the Nature simas previously caused conflict, as they viewed Nature's patience and peace inefficient and thus incapable of solving the problems they faced among the other tribes. They saw it better that they force their will and control over the other tribes rather than wait for them to solve their issues. Earth simas are physically stronger than most and resilient, as they train with the Earth from the day they are born.
Earth sims begin their life in the mountains, training form the day they are born to control the Earth rather than wait for it to appease them. They are taught self-discipline and control, as while they enjoy their strength, they know they must learn to control it lest they harm themselves. Many Earth simas are rather unsuccessful academically and lack the cunning and wisdom that their Nature brothers possess. Regardless, they view this as a weakness and thus pay little attention to it.
Their conflict with the Nature simas is unending, both sides vying for power and control over the other tribes. Unlike the Nature simas, the Earth simas will use any means necessary to get what they desire and thus are considered the most chaotic and unpredictable of the tribes. Very few simas enjoy the presence of the Earth tribe and prefer to keep their distance, as their overbearing and forceful nature is usually seen in a negative light.
Air
Air is arrogant. Air is mischievous. Air knows no boundaries. The air simas are all but nonexistent within the tribes, spending their lives among the clouds and rarely ever visiting the ground. Though their bodies are light enough to live within the clouds, they cannot fly for too long without proper wings. Thus, they rarely ever visit the ground for fear of never being able to return to the clouds.
They are said to have been born long before the other tribes, but remained on the clouds unknowing of the other tribes that walked the land below. Air simas are rumored to be formed from the clouds, a child born whenever a storm hits the ground below. They are blamed for a majority of the natural disasters that plague the Earth, despite having control over only the winds and air of the sky. Despite the negativity that surrounds them, they generally live a carefree life and only grace the land when they are needed.
Air simas disregard the tensions within the tribes and are actually quite ignorant of the feelings of the other tribes. They seem to be oblivious of the tension and will visit any tribe whenever they please, even if they were chased out the night before. They enjoy nights with the Fire simas, but are generally disliked by the other tribes.
Metal
Metal simas resemble the Stone simas in that they are just as tough and resilient, if not greater. They were the second offbranch of Nature that eventually split off, though they left on friendlier terms. Metal simas held no interest in control over the other tribes, preferring to devote their lives to inventing things and generally being as efficient as they can be.
Similar to those of the Earth tribe, the Metal simas could not har the sounds from nature nor could they speak with the animals. They simply heard the calling from the ground, voices echoing every day and night until it drove them mad. Determined to discover the source of the dreadful noise, the simas dug a large hole in to the group until they found their first piece or ore. Realizing their true calling, they detached themselves from the idea of control and instead clung to the idea of discovery. They wanted to shape the metal in to all sorts of useful shapes.
Currently, Metal simas ignore the tensions within the community but are not so oblivious that they do not recognize it. With that in mind, they usually only associate with the water and fire tribe for assistance in their work. Other then that, they hide behind their metal walls in hopes of living peacefully.
Love
Contrary to their name, the simas of the Love tribe show no affection for those outside of their tribe and the Mind tribe. They see love in the literal sense, and while they can control the emotions of simas to create happiness in love, they generally prefer to create havoc. They enjoy interfering in love lives for their own amusement - preferring to see drama and heartbreak over genuine love. Despite this, they are actually very serious about love and will not hesitate to fix love that they deem worthy. They will not, however, tolerate others asking for them to fix love for them. They see it as an insult and will not hesitate to interfere in their own way rather than adhering to the simas wishes.
Their enjoyment of drama and chaos has caused quite the rift between them and the other tribes, though they are favored heavily but those of the Mind tribe. Both tribes enjoy interfering with the emotions of other simas, though the Mind simas are stronger than the Love simas. The two tribes actually support the tension and strive to keep it going, earning hatred from those trying to mend everything.
Love simas are not a tribe that others truly enjoy. They are despised by most and only really liked by those of the Mind tribe. Even then, their relationship is somewhats trained and on the verge of collapse as well. The Love and Mind tribe, however, do not seem to mind.
Mind
Nobody trusts the Mind simas. They are the distrusted tribe of them all, with even the Love tribe wary of them. Their control over the mental capacity of other simas is frightening enough for them to be forced in isolation. Even in times of peace and prosperity, there is not a single tribe who has ever welcomed the Mind simas without a bit of uneasiness.
Those of the Mind lack empathy and enjoy to study and interfere with other simas on their own terms. Mind simas take full advantage over their natural control over other simas and use it to their advantage, twisting the tension between the others in their own favor. They show no loyalty to anyone other than themselves, as they can read the thoughts of other and are fully aware of the lack of trust. It does not bother them at all, however, as it makes their desires easier to accomplish without the feeling of empathy of real emotion getting in their way.
The Mind simas care little for others and solely live to create havoc among the other tribes. Though they associate frequently with those of Love, they only do so or personal gain and care little for the Love simas.
Happiness
Happiness simas are similar to those of the Love tribe i that they are quite different from what their tribe name suggests. Though not chaotic in nature, they will rarely ever try to satisfy other simas with their gifts. Instead, they prefer to leave Simas to gain their own true happiness instead of trying to replicate it through their powers. They understand the power of happiness and know that leaving it easy to obtain would only satisfy the Simas for so long. So, they rarely ever use their powers and instead focus on creating happiness through natural means.
They are the current peacemakers of the simas, striving to create a natural happiness throughout the tribes. They care deeply for the others, even when it comes to the Mind and Love simas. They interfere with their powers only as a last resort, but usually settle for entertaining and having a good time. They host parties with the fire simas regularly and are rarely ever depressed in front of others.
They feel obligated to create happiness and knowing they cannot create true happiness efficiently is somewhat disheartening to them. They tend to stay away from the war and simply invite others over when they feel they need too. They are loved and hated by other tribes, as their inability to pick a side frustrates the others.
GhoulGhoul Simas were born through the will of the reaper lord who wished to further improve the abilities of his reapers, meddling in the cauldron of souls in order to create the perfect reapers. Through trial and error, he discovered that souls blessed with minor powers of the dead would one day pass on to become the strongest of reapers. With this in mind, Ghoul simas were born from the souls specifically chosen to be reincarnated in to the world to connect with the world or the living. He found that souls were lived in the world of the living but spawned from the world of death could emphasize the most with the souls and properly do their jobs.
Ghoul simas are born from any tribe with any colored jewel, though their jewels are distinct in the flames of the underworld that protect them from harm. Many ghouls are despised by other tribes, especially from those of the death tribe who suffer the most from Death's meddling long ago. Though a few will successfully live among the living, others are secluded and seek comfort from the lord of the Ghouls.
Those with the ghoul jewel can converse with the dead and have minor control over the uncollected souls of the deceased. The more sentient the creature in life, the less control they have over the creature. Though they are judged harshly for their gifts, those who possess the power of ghouls have to been known to abuse their power. This is believed to spawn from Death's strict guidelines on choosing those who shall be born with the gift of the ghouls.
ReaperIn the beginning, Death ruled the underworld alone and ferried the souls through limbo by himself without fail. For a time, he had no trouble and was considered efficient in his job. As time passed, however, he became weaker and the souls became too much for him to handle. Combined with is loneliness, Death took a handful of souls and forged them in to the Reapers they are today. The number of purebreeds he created is unknown, as many have forsaken their bloodline and have allowed their souls to become tainted by that of the living world. Only Death and his son Forge remain of the purebreds, as neither have lingered in the land of the living long enough to have their bloodlines altered.
Though their power weakened, Reaper's are now increasingly more proficient in their duties due to the creation of Ghoul simas, as they are born from the death of the ghouls. They spend their entire lives in the living world preparing to take charge of souls, some choosing to attend to specific souls while others simply handle anything that comes their way. Rarely has a reaper become corrupted enough to forsake their duties and course trouble within the realm of the dead, though it is not unheard of. Those who have become tainted far beyond help are either removed by Death himself or forever cast in to the world of the living to remain alone. Reaper who stay in the world of the living for too long ascend to invisible creatures, commonly known as ghosts among the Simas.
A reaper sima is not immediately tasked with the guidance of souls, however, as they must first prove their worth and earn the coveted reaper gear from the forge master Forge. Though Death previously controlled who was given gear, the duty now falls to Forge to determine whether a reaper is worthy to accept gear and allowed to become a fully fledged reaper.
Occasionally, half-reapers are also gifted with gear from Forge, but their ties to the world of the living make it impossible for them to linger too long in the realm of reapers to be of any assistance. Half-reapers who stay too long in the realm of the reapers become pure souls themselves and thus rendered incapable of returning to their world or ever becoming a reaper again.
Reaper simas pity the Ghouls who currently live in the World of the living. Their relationships with most of the clans is one of respect on both ends, but they are loathed by those of the Death clan.
