He coughed a couple more times before getting up and padding over to Maplefrost, shaking his fur. " We need to get back to others before we might lose them. " he mewed, gazing down at the tom.
" Rather not be left here... " he added looking at the brunt down trees and shrubs around him. He glanced back at Maplefrost, a small smug grin on his face. He went beside Maplefrost, trailing his tail along the tom's face and shoulder.
" C'mon " he mewed, still grinning but acted as if nothing was happening.

Sandstripe continued limping beside Robintail, remembering their past from when they were human and when they met as cats. He chuckled a few times when remembering Romano as a small child. The things he used to do and what he said. Abruptly, the memories as humans began to fade away and the beginning of the cat memories began. The awkward meet. Weird tension. He smiled at himself then glanced at Romano, his mate as a cat but his wife as a human. He pulled closer to him and started purred.

His fur bristled at the sudden contact, jumping slightly. He glanced over at Sandstripe raising a eyebrow before just rolling his eyes and continuing on. He couldn't help but smile lightly, He loves his mate so much. he kept glancing at the tom, chuckling to himself lightly. His glanced at the two kits make him grin wider. These were his and Sandstripe's! He felt overly giddy inside, grinning like an idiot. No matter how much was on his mind, in the corner of his thoughts the dead kit haunted ever happy thought. He still grinned but it shrunk a little. Once they got deeper into the forest he'd have to help Sandstripe's leg and name the kits. He let out a sigh, wanting to sit down already, exhaustion setting in from the previous events. His body still ached from giving birth as well as having the weight of Sandstripe on his shoulder but he'd do anything for his mate.

He opened his eyes and he glanced around at where the cats had come. Not everything was burnt in this area, just a few things like bushes and parts of the path they were taking but other than that, it was completely safe.

Ravenleap ran back to Cherryfeather and decided to walk with her. Graystar stopped at a place that had no signs of burn. He smiled and meowed to Friskypelt,"this seems like a good place."

The cat nodded and carefully took the kit, placing the small ball of fur along side his sister, who was still asleep. "i'll be fine.. i just need to take my time and rest every now and then." he sighed softly, now gazing up to the entrance of the hole. "we should get going ... i don't hear or smell any of the others nearby."

The tom's fur bristles up rather quickly, blushing a bright red as he felt Silverbreeze's tail trail against his face and shoulder. He shakily got up and soon quickly followed after the white tom, feeling like a fool, and feeling really embarrassed, for not noticing or realizing that it had been his crush the entire time..

He still has his trademark smirk on his face as he padded along searching for his brother's scent. His tail swished from side to side as he sniffed the air catching a very faint scent of the others that was mixed in with smoke and other unfamiliar scents. He turned sharply around a fallen log and started to gain some speed. " They went this way. " he mewed glancing back at Maplefrost. He slowed his pace a bit, not keen on catching up right at this moment, he'd rather be in a smaller group even if it consisted in just him and Maplefrost.
His smirk faded as he saw the real damage of the fire. Everything looked so bare. He shook away his thoughts and continued on with determination to find a new home.

A faint smile was on his face as the plant life beside him was starting to get less and less burnt. They were getting close to their new home which was good for everyone, especially Sandstripe considering his leg. He fell back behind the others quite a bit dew to exhaustion and pain but he still followed none the less.
How the forest got greener around them pushed him to keep walking despite the pain in his paws. He was surprised that the kits weren't wailing by now from being in their jaws for so long but he wasn't complaining. He has to admit it was quite peaceful right at this time.

She grinned as the trees around her got greener and greener. They were for sure getting close. Once the words came out of Graystar's mouth she couldn't help but smile widely. She padded up to Ravenleap and gave him a cheery smile studying the place around them. It was a beautiful area and she couldn't wait to explore it a little. Her tail swished with excitement as she gazed around her taking in all the greenery.

Sandstripe looked up past the trees, staring at the bright blue sky tinted with the black and gray of smoke. He looked back down and turned his head, looking behind him. It was dark and looked like anything could spring out at them at any moment.

"Ive been here many times in the past, calm animals roam here, great prey. Owls will also come here too, ive hunted them before and it tasted pretty good. No dangerouse animals had wondered here so the kits should be safe and happy. Ive found two creeks like our last home amd some rock dens as well. We will be safe here." Graystar meowed.

Eaglestripe smelled their scent, he got near them and hid in a hole right away, not safe, he sighed and placed the kit on the ground. Freekit looked up at him and mewed, he batted Eaglestripes paw and smiled.
