Origins:
Subwoofers were created in a top secret lab for military purposes. They were made to detect radio signals that technology couldn't do at the time. Some kind of crazy science stuff and yeah, then poof. They were first found by the public two years ago, near an abandoned research lab. They were nicknamed Subwoofers as a joke. The name stuck, and now, they make perfect family pets!

Subwoofer Name: Ren, meaning 'Lotus' or 'romance, love'. He absolutely hates how girl it is. 'I don't like romance at all!'
Gender: Male
Short personality: Ren is a very well-meaning subwoofer, but his intentions often get tangled up in everything else in his little head. He often is easily made angry or upset and a lot of little things simply make him mad in general. For instance, his design and name. He hates that he seems like a girly girl whose into all that romantic mushy-gushy stuff. His name doesn't help either. He'd rather have been given a rather manly name such as Akio, which literally means 'male' or 'man'. All the same, he puts up with it. It's not like he gets made fun of a bunch or anything. Ren is a unisex name.
Hobby(ies): Watching romance movies. No. I'm not joking. Pride and Prejudice, Say Anything, and a lot of other cheesy 80's romances and Jane Austen-esque stories catches his eye. Not that he'd ever admit it. After all, he's not into girly stuff.
Other than that, he really just likes to listen and make music. He can't write lyrics to save his life, but the actual music part he can do very well. He also can use a computer program called VOCALOID and is very adept at tuning them, although he can't write music for them. VOCALOID music makes up a large part of the music he listens to as well as a little dash of everything else. Really, he likes every music genre there is. Yes, even country and rap.
