Hello, welcome to Subwoofers! Do you want your own? Want to know more about them? Want to be an artist? Just look around this post until you're satisfied!


Origins:
Subwoofers were created in a top secret lab for military purposes. They were made to detect radio signals that technology couldn't do at the time. Some kind of crazy science stuff and yeah, then poof. They were first found by the public two years ago, near an abandoned research lab. They were nicknamed Subwoofers as a joke. The name stuck, and now, they make perfect family pets!
Diet:
The cool thing about Subwoofers is that they don't need food! With a quiet source of any music nearby, which they can produce from themselves, they receive the nutrients obtained from eating food, sort of like photosynthesis. They do however, like all living things, need water, so don't forget that!
Size and Growth:
Fully-grown Subwoofers are the same size as fully-grown Labrador Retrievers. They both grow at the same rate, and both have the same life expectancy. It is believed Labrador DNA was involved in the experiment which created Subwoofers.
Coloration:
Subwoofers come in a wide variety of colors. However, their pattern never clashes. Every Subwoofer has a neon color somewhere on their body. THEY WILL NOT HAVE RAINBOW PATTERNS ON THEIR BODY. However, you can make rainbow accessories.
Rarity:
In the year 2013, Subwoofers received an official rarity system, which goes like this:
Very common, common, uncommon, rare, and very rare. Below is a list of requirements for a certain rarity.
A Subwoofer must have at least one of the things listed below a rarity to have that rarity.
Very Commons:
Have no line edits, no accessories, and a simple design. NOTE: Please don't make a bunch of these, even if you have artist's block.
Commons:
Have hair, 1-2 accessories, and a design with at least three colors.
Uncommons:
Have pointy ears OR multiple tails (Optional), chibi wings, 2-3 accessories, and a balloon around their tail.
Rares:
Have a complex design with at least five colors. They can have multiple tails and pointy ears, and 3+ accessories (As long as the final result is not too crowded).
Very Rares:
Have Angel/Demon wings, a very complex design with at least six colors.
Also if we get a PPS lineart, each PPS will be Very Rare.


If you need help with anything/understanding something, you can ask a mod or pm me.
Do not complain about not getting the Subwoofer you wanted.
Do not spam the thread. (Repeated bumping, one word posts, etc.)
Respect the staff, they work hard to keep this place running! If you find someone disrespecting staff (ex. Calling a mod bad at their job just because they gave you a strike) let me know, and I'll see if it's serious enough for a strike, or even a ban.
Do not fill out staff applications when they are closed.
Do not try to bribe an artist/GA into making a custom for you.
Artists, please try to make at least two Subwoofers a week. If you're on a vacation or something, tell me and it will be fine, but if you haven't made a single Subwoofer for three weeks, I will let you know you will no longer be an artist if you don't make a Subwoofer within a week (It must be Common+). You will also get a strike.
Do not steal/retrace the line.
Customs cannot be based off of Fursonas.
You may own up to six Subwoofers (Staff get seven) and one custom, which counts to your limit. If you have six/seven Subwoofers, and you see one you want up for adoption, you can tell me which one you'd like to put up for adoption again. I'll put it up for adoption, and you will get an extra space for another subwoofer.
Do not adopt Subwoofers that you have made. (Unless they are customs)

My computer and Java don't work well together when it comes to CS Oekaki, so I'll just give a ref ^.^
I have a fusona (Idk if someone else though of it first, so I'm not saying OC) of a silver wolf with blue wings....
The headphones could be blue as well, and some kind of tail necklace with a blue jewel on the end would be nice to.


Also, Evil!Marco, that gif is absolutely hilarious, considering I own a corgi dog ^.^
