Wow, I already have a Alice in Wonderland based charrie, and she and Alice would be perfect together. Also, love Isis. :3 Though I'm still going for Syra's donation. <3

Kennel: P53
Section: Common Creatures
Name: Hikari (meaning “Light” in Japanese).
Breed: Feral Mutt
Age: 1 Year and 5 Months (almost 16 in Human Years)

Why I want this animal and what I will do for him:
Hikari will be one of my three main characters. I will include him in any stories that I write, and I will get plenty of art of him; I’ll even try to draw him myself. When I finish my refs of my other two characters, I will make a character thread for them, which will also include Hikari. I want him very much because I just adore his markings and colors, and he fits in perfectly with my other characters.

Personality:
Hikari is very social, outgoing, and optimistic. He’s always the first awake in the morning and the last asleep at night. He plays with his friends all day long, and is always looking for more friends. He is very generous and caring, and will help anybody in need, even if he’s having a bad day himself. He gets along with almost everyone, and can cheer anybody up when they’re not feeling so well. Despite being playful and silly most of the time, he knows when the right time to be serious is. He is very intelligent, and people often come to him looking for help. Although Hikari loves to explore, he knows when to be extra careful, and will be extra cautious while going to certain areas. He never gets himself into any kind of danger on purpose, unless someone else is and he has to save them.

Likes:
Hikari loves to be around other animals or people. He is always exploring the forest with his friends. He loves to climb trees and hang out with the squirrels. He loves squirrels because one of his best friends is one. He enjoys hearing stories or telling stories to other creatures. Hikari also loves the rain; He’ll play in it for hours. He spends a lot of time with his family, especially his mother.

Dislikes:
Hikari hates bullies and when people lie. He often works as a peacemaker between people who aren’t getting along well, because he wants everyone to live together peacefully. Hikari is also scared of snakes. He has a few friends that are snakes, but he is very cautious while approaching new snakes that he doesn’t know. Thoughts of death and ghosts scare Hikari. He has heard stories of malicious ghosts, and hopes to never come across one. He is scared of death, and wants to live his life to the fullest.

History/Background:

It was a dark and cold night, and I was colder than I had ever been in my life. I was on my way back home from my friend and I’s favorite place in the forest, where we had spent all day lying in the dewy grass watching fish swim by in the stream. I left at sunset, hoping to be back by nighttime, but the cold air and biting wind had slowed me down.
As I was walking through the forest, I heard something growl to the right side of me. It was a fierce growl, and it left me paralyzed with fear for a few seconds. Soon I was able to look at what had growled at me. It was another dog; one with strange markings and an intimidating snarl. I stared at him, my eyes wide. I sure hope he doesn’t try to attack me I thought. I wouldn’t stand a chance. He made no attempt to attack me, however. I looked down at his legs; his front and back legs were shackled together. The back shackles were caught on a broken tree branch. The dog tugged on it, but it wouldn’t budge.
“Excuse me,” I said to him, my voice trembling. “Do you need any help?”
He stared at me with menacing eyes. “What do you think?!” he barked at me. I flinched when he shouted at me. I slowly made my way over to him. He watched me intently as I broke the tree branch and slid it out of his shackles’ chain. He kicked his leg out as far as the chain would go, making me jump.
“Thanks, I’ve been stuck here all day,” he said to me.
“No problem,” I replied. “I’m glad to have helped.”
“And it’s a good thing you did too, I know I wasn’t going to help him,” said a voice behind me. I turned around, and was face-to-face with another dog. He had an evil grin on his face.
“I sat here and waited for somebody to help him all day so we could get going, but being as stubborn as he is, he scared everyone away before they could help him.”
The shackled dog snarled at him. “YOU are the stubborn one for not letting me go!” The other dog rolled his eyes at him and turned back to me.
“So kid,” he said as he circled around me. “What’s your name?”
“My name is Hikari,” I told him. I smiled my biggest, friendliest smile. “And what are yours?”
“Well, the shackled one is Ryuu, and I’m Akira.” I looked at them standing side-by-side. They were a perfect pair; Ryuu was the muscular, tough one and Akira was the smart, witty one. I suddenly wanted to join them (or have them join me). We could be the perfect trio, the three of us, and I could introduce them to my other friends, and we could go on adventures together! I thought. I got excited.
“Would you guys like to stay with me in my cave?” The two of them looked at each other.
“We are looking for a place to stay. Do you want to stay with him?” Akira asked Ryuu.
“Alright,” Ryuu said. “I guess that’s okay.”
“Great! Just follow me.”
I led them to my cave, where we shared each other’s stories and adventures. Ryuu, Akira and I became great friends that night. We have been together ever since.

Art: N/A
Other: In the History/Background story, Ryuu and Akira are my two other characters, in case you were wondering who they were. I wanted to explain how Hikari would meet them (if I won him).

Thanks for considering my form! I worked very hard on it this weekend.

Kennel: p55
Section: Pound Of Hope
Name: Toshiro –Talented, intelligent-Insists upon being called ‘Cross’ however. He seems to not recall being named Toshiro.
Breed: Arubian Cunucu Dog born with unusual pointed ears.
Age: Does not age.
Why do you want this animal?&What will you do for this animal?:Cross really struck a chord with me. I love everything about him, he’s a character I can really create a history and personality for, just his design seems to tell a story. From looking at him, I found his whole background and personality coming to me, which at the time was inconvenient as I was in the car, and had to rummage around for a piece of paper to write it all down on! He’d have a home on my character thread, in which I keep all my favourite characters and their art. He’d also be a close friend of Ashen, my Gryphon character of whom I am smitten with. He’d be drawn, roleplayed and written about. I really will do everything for this character.

Personality: Cross is an extremely silent canine who acts somewhat like a mute in his ability to go without talking for days on end. It’s rare that an acquaintance of his will ever hear him speak, so when you can hold a conversation with him you know you have found a way past his defences. He is an extremely instinctive dog who relies heavily on senses which are yet to fail him. A talented reader of body language, and can often sense moods in the air before they are discovered, many around Cross believe him to be psychic, and this frightens them. He is not, however. Simply intuitive. He is used to hardship and can last days without food or water should he run into such trouble, and would not voice a single complaint. His eyes are a gateway to the real him, Toshiro, not Cross. Though even he himself doesn’t know who this is.

Cross finds that when others are in trouble he will always place their needs above his own. If he finds prey when there is a shortage, he would give it to someone else while he himself starves. He, needless to say, seems to be very good at reading the emotions of others and has an easy ability to know when something is bothering another and would be hard pressed to solve it for them.

Despite his silence he is forever sought after by others, be them male or female. This fact completely bewilders the serene canine, and he finds that those he has not even met before, know his name. No matter how many times he is knocked down, he will always rise again, and would place himself in deaths arms if it means saving a friend. Yet, he never asks nor expects any thanks, and vanishes before he can become too close to a fellow canid.
This is the issue with Cross, he is forever disappearing. Scared to his stomach about commitment, he frets and worries about getting that one inch closer to someone to be considered their friend. Though he holds no true malice, Cross will never stick around long enough to get to know, so many fear him or blatantly ignore him- he guesses they don’t want to grow close to him either.

One passion in his life is for his tattoo and his gas mask. He loves them dearly. He also seems to have an uncanny affinity with birds, be it Grim, his vulture guardian, or any other.

Dislikes:
-Encroaching on another’s personal space, and having this done to him.
-Talking. It always seems to lead to fighting.
-Being coddled. He is tough, and resents it when others pity or ponder over him.
-Being asked about his tattoo, missing limb or gas mask.
Likes:
-When ‘friends’ of his know you don’t have to speak, to be there for someone.
-Silence.
-That feeling of satisfaction when you know you have helped.
-Birds

History/Backround:

At first for Cross, the day had been nothing more than usual. He had found a sandy cove in which he had rested in for the day, tenderly dipping his mask in the cleansing salt water of the ocean and leaving it to dry- the first wash it had had in weeks. He held it now in his jaws, no more gently than he would hold an infant. In truth he was quite pleased with his den, because it seemed even more secure then his previous home in the mountains. The bird however, the one that had watched his actions carefully throughout the day with piercing eyes like molten emerald, well this he wasn’t so comfortable with. Obviously there was the advantage of having a permanent guard around this new home, he knew from experiences previous that birds almost always shrieked before danger – but what about the obvious point that he had no idea who the creature was, or what his real intentions where. Why waste all her time here observing me? He wondered; What was the tie? What he really wanted was a guarantee of his safety in the short time he would be spending here... some way to ensure he lived in a less dangerous area to the one he had come from. He couldn’t imagine that such a thing existed – a guarantee, and that was why he wasn’t willing to trust the bird.

After a few moments worrying, in the end, there was nothing left to do but dismiss the bird from his mind and concentrate on the prey before him. Creeping slowly forward... what he hunted was only a hare, but at least it was something. Snap. He winced at the misplaced paw-step, lunging as gracefully as his three legs could manage, forward after the hare that took off across the dry grassy verge above the cove. At the last moment, a split second before it could slip beneath the hole that was its den beneath the ground, a massive bird dove down unto the earth and snatched it with its strong talons. Lifting it into the air, even as its heart gave out in fear. Cross panted and pulled to a stop, knowing his prey was lost to a more successful hunter. So he was surprised when the rabbit dropped from its massive talons and hit the ground before him.

Good hunting, brother”

The bird commented respectfully, landing besides the rabbit but making no move to take it. This was a vulnerable position for the bird, and that surprised Cross – why would a bird trust him so easily?

“I have been observing you from afar. ”

For a moment, Cross regarded the magnificent avian, with her black and silver plumage and hooked beak. He had not seen another like it. Still he did not speak.

“I am Grim. And you are Toshiro. You do not recognize me?”

But Cross was stuck staring at those massive wings, stretched out before him in a flourish of a well practiced motion. They really were brilliant wings. Sparkling in a fanned out shade of dark brown verging on black, and pulling through was a glorious silver colour, it was light against the darker features, light and clean, sparkling in the ray of the sun. Her watchful eyes not as black as many bird eyes he had seen. These ones had more depths, and a glossy olive in their centre. A dangerously deadly sharp beak curving tightly at the tip. This Grim really was a magnificent creature.

Then the familiarity of her bright eyes struck him. The bird above the cove. What she had called him. Toshiro.

Grim stared at Cross for a while, obviously waiting for him to speak. When it was clear Cross would not, she shuffled her wings and gave a croaking rumble- close to a growl.

“Speak you little, listen much.” The bird murmured to herself, her eyes never leaving his.

“Who are you?” Toshiro whispered.

A manip I made of Grim. The marking in the corner is the one on Cross's gas mask.

I am looking to donate...
Image: Image
Name: --
Gender: Male
Species: --
Preferences: Gender can change. Give him/her a good name. If you are going to choose dog or wolf for the species, please specify which kind of wolf or which dog breed. (Same goes for if you decide to make him/her a different type of animal). Please keep him/her on a character thread or site. I'd like the golden markings and jewelry to somehow be incorporated into his/her story. Oh, and on his/her tail is a golden band; it's not a marking. c:
By submitting this form, I, BlissfulFarrago, agree that I am giving up my character to a new home, and will not ask for the character back if it has a form up for it.

Ahbuhzuh, RBG, that's fragging amazing. o.o

Suppose this should go out for everybody- thanks for your donations! Y'all have been keeping this place going, so I'm not trying to keep it alive with my mismatched designs of cranal destruction. xD Lots of beautiful characters have come in, and lots have already found homes... just as I'd hoped for this place. c:

Kennel: P23
Section: Common Creatures
Name: Hywel
Breed: Red Wolf
Age: ~3
Why do you want this animal?&What will you do for this animal?: Has a beautiful mix of natural colors, and simple markings that work very well together. He seemed to be something lost, which gave me a strong sense to write him a story. He will be added to my character thread, and be a story-companion of my Anaya. I will draw him, and create stories about the two of them and their adventures.
Personality: Responsible, Empathic, Dry Sense of Humor, and Restless.
Dislikes&Likes:
Likes: Traveling, seeking, finding, discovering, and feeling a part of a group
Dislikes: Seclusion, being Stagnant, feeling trapped, and losing someone
History/Background: Hywel is a red wolf spirit, who lost his way long ago from his pack. His first memory infact was a pack he long to return to, yet somehow he got lost in the fog of the spirit realm. Thus he has continued to wanderer, yet no longer seeks what he has lost. Instead, he casts his gaze upon others that are lost. The first he found was a small albino raccoon plushie, lost in the physical realm deep in the woods. He found great sympathy towards this small little bit of fluff, and has now carried it with him wherever he goes. Though he has found many other lost things, he ends up helping to return them to their rightful place or to a new welcoming home. During one of his numerous travels to the physical realm, he ran into Anaya whom was playing a funny little trick on a unsuspecting human. Hywel could not help but watch, and then for the first time he began to laugh. Anaya did not take long to befriend the lost wanderer, and ask him to go seeking with her. Since this time, they have been travel companion. Though occasionally do stray to have their own little adventures, many envy their friendship.

~Hywel softly tread through the endless mist, sniffing gingerly in each direction. He could barely notice his muzzle before him, much less his paws beneath him. The overwhelming sense of being lost pervaded him to his very bones. Every instinct told him he was looking for his pack, his family. Yet through the endless space Hywel could find nothing of his kin. Occasionally he would run across something that looked like a small pond, yet it glowed with an strange light. He did not venture near any for he feared its contents. Could it be something to do with the mist, these strange pools that shone like the moon? The red wolf sat upon his haunches and thrashed his tail. It felt as if several moon cycles had passed, yet nothing seemed to change here. He finally curled up and drifted to sleep.

Dreams, filled with endless chasing after familiar tails, smells and yips. Every time the dreamer leaped to catch up, they seemed to stretch farther from his sight. Finally he woke with a start, ears pinned against his head and his lip curled in a snarl. Something was out there within the mist, he could smell it. This thing, Hywel had not the slightest idea what it could be but he did not like it. Quickly he ran in the opposite direction, and fell straight into a pool of the shimmering water. He went to swim, yet found himself falling instead. Down he went, as he spun head over tail. He whimpered mournfully, trying to recover himself in the air. Without much more warning then the fall itself, he drifted to a stop. The red wolf did not find himself in the endless mist instead in the thickest part of some unknown forest. Nostrils tested the air, and found a place that was not home. His tail sagged in disappointment, yet a wind ruffled his coat. He turned towards the gust, and began to walk a worn trail. Hywel's heart was heavy as he began to accept his home and family was lost to him forever.

The young wolf was not paying attention until he nearly tripped over a small object in the forest. He glanced around to notice he was actually in a clearing, and looked down to see what was in his path. A small worn fluffy object lay at his feet. Hywel leaned forward and sniffed the unknown object. Its scent was strange mix of cotton, hemp and the forest around. He picked it up in his teeth and felt a warmth in his heart. This lost thing, was now found and they had each other. Then he scampered, much like a pup, out to explore what else was lost to the world. ~
