What happened?: Void had been contaminated in a nuclear power plant accident much like Chernobyl, and the radiation had caused major glitches in his system, making him go haywire at times with spasms if not controlled properly and (in worse case scenarios) can make him go... dark. Like Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde. The crack in the screen was one of those cases where he just rammed himself into a wall subconsciously due to the glitches.
