Name Meaning ;; His name happens to be a not-so-clever pun originating from the word 'chess' like a checkerboard. It can also be interpreted as similar to the word 'chest' as his mind's similar to a chest in that it absorbs information constantly.
Why Chester? ;; The moment I saw him I was instantly reminded of a checker board or a chess board, both are very similar in their design, and as a child I really had an affinity for playing checkers with my family. The character my mind developed for Chester demanded an intelligent sounding name, while not sounding too high-and-mighty. Chester came to mind and it fit perfectly.

In-Depth Personality ;; Chester is by nature a calm and cool sort of guy who prefers to observe from a distance. He's always been a meek and recluse sort of guy, mostly because of his rough time socializing with others. While Chester may be a bit of a quiet type, when he does speak he makes sure his comments are meaningful and interesting, usually either witty jokes or interesting facts. He talks with an atmosphere of knowledge and power about him, power he lacks physically speaking. When given a task Chester will do his absolute best to achieve it, and to make his work as close to flawless as humanly possible. He's a complete over-achiever, always going over the top when it comes to most things. It's been said that Chester may take things a little too literally. While he's a fan of clever humor,

sometimes 'lesser' jokes like puns go right over his head.

Heterochromia ;; Because of his mismatched eyes Chester has always been very self-conscious of his appearance. He feels like his eyes make him stick out unnecessarily and the thought of being the center of attention makes him incredibly uncomfortable. Another side effect of his heterochromia is his poor eyesight. Chester needs to wear glasses most of the time, but half the time he doesn't simply to keep attention away from his eyes.
It's All Fun And Games ;; Chester adores games of virtually any sort. His favorites include tactical miniatures games such as battle tech and x-wing, though he also appreciates classics like chess, checkers and varying card games. He's gambled on matches before, and typically wins- though not by luck alone. Chester has a few tricks up his sleeve, and he never has been the type to kiss and tell. He does have a bit of remorse for his cheating ways, however in a game that's already rigged he doesn't have
much shame in turning the odds to his favor.

It's easy to chalk up Chester's music taste to one word; dated. Chester has an affinity for older songs, typically the '70s and 80's, though some 90's music as well. Chester personally thinks people were a lot more catchy and clever with their wording before all songs became blatantly about more adult themes, thus his adoration for the older music. He also likes instrumental tracks as they help him focus.

♚Graustufen has the traits of being a clam, collected guy with a keen sense of logic. This Newton isn't one to jump the gun, but instead finds it to his advantage to think things over. Not much of a gamer himself he will still tend to try some out, only liking the ones that give him choices to make that effect the path of the game and make him think things through. Graustufen will always need to have a set schedule and order of things to keep him on task,
♛ On cold Autumn and winter evenings he'll be curled up close to a warm fireplace with a hand knitted scarf wrapped around his neck while reading a nice mystery novel. A good chance of it being Sherlock Holmes. At his left, always his left will he have a nice mug of hot chocolate with small, colorful marshmallows or it will be filled with tea. If he's not reading his Sherlock Holmes novels though you'll find him with some sort of puzzle to solve.
♜During the summer and spring months the Newton will be found relaxing out in the sunlight with drawing materials or a camera. Sketching or snapping away at the scenery given to him. If he's not found doing either of those activities in his normal places he can be found napping away in a hammock. Outside he has a small table set up with a checkers game as he enjoys that and Chess the most, Checkers being because he's a Checker Newton.
♞ When it comes to his family Graustufen has no known parents or siblings or any offspring. From a young age he doesn't really remember who took care of him, but he does know about his two best friends. Gilbert, a pure metal lizard with a few other small details has been with him for as long as he can remember having started school and his other friend, Linkin Park has helped him get better at his photography skills, giving him tips ever since he started taking that class a year earlier, struggling with it until he came along.
♟ As him being almost colorless besides his eyes, Graustufen finds himself trying to make everything else in his life colorful. He loves his scarf he knitted as it is dozens of patches of pastel colors, not overly bright to burst out against his color, but to give him a bit of color.

Round n' round you go, chasing after dreams at the beginning, so hopeful and happy, but then this thing called Age comes up and you learn life isn't Fun. ✪ For food wise Graustufen isn't very picky, but he does have a soft spot for his hot chocolate with rainbow marshmallows on a nice cold evening by the fireplace and a cup of tea if he's out of the hot chocolate. For meals he likes homemade alferdo pasta with chicken and a few vegetables mixed in. Egg drop soup, Chicken Paprika, buttered rice, and cookies and milk are just a few more of his favorite foods.
✪ Anything to do with hobbies you'll find him reading the Sherlock Holmes series over and over, taking pictures, drawing, solving puzzles, or playing Chess or checkers as his top few. Any time he finds someone that needs help he will sit down with them and give them what they need or give the best he can. Don't mistake this for him being a outgoing, bold guy that talks to everyone easily.
✪ When it comes to the seasons and weather you will find this little Newton loving the chilly days, the dark cloudy days where you can just relax and lounge around and watch movies, he loves the fall and winter for the beauty they bring with such amazing colors or even just one plain one. Graustufen loves when the skies grow dark and it begins to pour with thunder booming outside, shaking the ground and foundation of his house and lighting ripping through the sky.

This little Newton doesn't dislike much, but he does dislike really spicy food, most vegetables, loud scream-o type of music, most of the new Pop and rap stuff being called music. He doesn't like bright, bright colors that hurt his sensitive colors.
