It has been 40 years since the introduction of the first Newtons to the general public. Their numbers quickly increased from the original stock, making owning a Newton possible for practically anyone with the time for them!
Originally discovered on a tropical island far out to sea, these strange creatures gained the nickname 'Newtons' from their love of the Fig Newtons being carried by the researchers exploring the island. Researchers were often followed by packs of up to 20 Newtons hoping for another treat!
Determined to an ancient off-shoot of the deer family, these creatures are perfectly adapted to their jungle habitat. With no predators on their island, males and females alike display brilliant and vivid colours, large fluffy patches of fur anywhere on their body (although some can be bald!) and anywhere from 1-4 horns, although anything above 2 is fairly rare. Their diet is mostly fruit and plants, although they love catching and eating the giant insects that live on their island. Their thin, elongated body and prehensile tail allows them to wind through the jungle trees with ease, while also giving them a fairly decent climbing ability, although they prefer to keep their feet on the floor!
About the size of a large dog, Newtons have become popular pets. With their bright colours, cheeky personalities and complete lack of fear, it's easy to see why people love them so much!

Newtons are an open species, meaning you can make your own Newtons with their own wonderful designs! They can come in every colour, pattern and variation under the sun, the only limit is your imagination! You can also breed your Newtons using the Nursery thread, and see your Newton family grow

Rules:
-There's no limit on the number of Newtons you can own- go crazy!
-Obviously, do not steal or claim the species as your own.
-You are not allowed to copy a previous design, or a design by another user. Anyone caught doing so will be barred from making Newtons.
-If you no longer want you Newton, you are free to give it to another user.
-You can NOT, however, trade your Newton for DA points/ real world currency! Creating adoptables for pets on Chicken Smoothie/ Flight Rising/ any other pet site is fine, however!
-You can draw/write/rp your Newtons anywhere you want-I only ask that you link back to this thread or give credit!
