This was beautiful Leafstorm.I have to say...there are some characters I've abandoned, and by the time I want bring them back and use them,I can't find them or some other reason. But for the many that I do use,I love each and every one of them. They are my precious little babies and I would never get rid of them. And now, even characters of mine made last week I love half to death. And I know if I could find all of the un-used ones, give them and name,a purpose,I would love them just as much.It makes me really sad to see one of my characters,or anyone's for that matter, sitting around, especially if it was a much used one,and now rots away because someone has moved on without them.
Again, this was a very beatiful and well put writing. You met so many points that are true and now, you've inspired me to go look for my unused OC's<3

I know this is quite old now, but I just found this and read through it. Well, and I wanted to share my thoughts about it.
I really loved that story about the little cat. It was so sad, and maybe so true... I don't want to blame others, since I would consider myself a character hoarder. I know, I "use" most of them far to little, but I'm trying to forget none of them. I will take what you said seriously and try to draw my least used characters next time I draw something.
Well for the point of loving them... I do so much understand that characters can cheer you up. I wouldnt even consider my two sonas characters. They are a part of me. When I write about them, its always out of personal sight. Im going through their adventures. I am Suki, I am Eleya and they are me. Thats why I could never replace them. Then I have my beloved boy Shetan. He is always with me. I see him as some kind of guardian angel. I do even talk to him in public. Guess how people start looking at me...
I feel more safe, when I imagine my characters guarding the house when I am home alone. Even if I don't draw them, or order art of them, most of them are part of my life. At least part of my thoughts.
So now you know how crazy I really am about that. I can totally understand everyone telling me I have no social life. I do have one, but I prefer the company of my characters. You know, they are simply always there for you.

This is amazing. I'll try not to forget any of my characters. I'm a little worried that the ones I made are going to just sit there. I'll have to do more with the ones I adopted.

Really though, just *Incoherent screaming*

This little post still breaks my heart.
It.. really gets me thinking too.
I might.. I might show it to someone I know who drops characters off constantly, they kill them off.. I guess that is giving an end but it just seems too.. too harsh.
