Why do you want it?: When I first saw it I thought the design was too simplistic and moved on to look at the others, but in the end it's the one I liked the most. <3 I figured my wolf pack was complete but now I can't see it without her in it, so I've got to give her a go. :3
Backround: Split was born a quadruped in a wolf pack located in Azraine's wilderness, but as she grew older her body started changing to the point where she could walk upright like a human. She found herself growing away from her pack mates and when she came of age she left them completely to strike out on her own. She didn't go on all fours anymore unless she was hunting because, though she had grown up doing so, it didn't feel right anymore.
In Azraine anthropomorphic animals are often caught and sold as slaves unless they have freedom permits, which is required if you want to roam free in populated towns. If a trader saw an Antrho and it seemed that it didn't have a permit, he could easily organize a group of people and have said anthro captured. Such a trader spotted her walking around a town, new to everything she stood out like a sore thumb. She even gave herself away when a market trader asked her if she wanted to buy some scarves, she couldn't speak his language so she just waved her hands and growled slightly, indicating no to herself but alerting the people around her that she was not yet a civilized free beast. Her capture was organized by the trader and town guards, they couldn't have a wild Anthro running around. Shortly after her capture she was sold as a "pet" to a rich family who wished to give her to their children as a gift, seeing how for an anthro she was rather small, she seemed to be the perfect candidate.
The children loved her and after a short time she came to love them just as much, at first she had wanted to hate them without ever giving up trying to escape. But they were not mean to her, they only punished her when she did things she knew she wasn't supposed to do, they were good people with kind souls. After many months she began to feel at home with them and they decided it was time she learned to speak, so the father spent many afternoons tirelessly trying to teach her English. She picked it up surprisingly quick and asked to learn the language of the Elves as well, and her master was happy to oblige her curious mind.
Split spent many happy years with her family until, during a raid of that village, the family was killed. Split had been unable to protect them, she was shot in the thigh by an arrow and the pain caused her to go unconscious. When she awoke not only was she in terrible pain but her heart broke when she found none of her household alive. Saddened by her loss and in terrible pain she left the village to try and find help, to tell anyone what had happened so maybe the bandits would be brought to justice.
But with her wound she did not travel far, due to blood loss she passed out on the trail and did not come around for a very long time. She awoke in the company of two female werewolves, they were complete opposites in appearance but introduced themselves as twins whose names were Tabitha and Roxxan. It wasn't until her strength recovered more that the two werewolves finally told her that they were witches and had found Split on the side of the road nearly dead from her wound, they had used magic to heal her. At first she was afraid but if they had saved her they must not be all bad, so she thanked them and then told them why she was in such a state in the first place.
Both witches looked to one another and said they had gone through that town and healed those who needed it, they also told her that they too were looking for someone. It sprang to all their minds at once and Split asked if she could continue her search for the proper authorities in the company of the two witches, after all they were all going in the same direction. Tabitha, Roxxan and Split continued walking together for at least two weeks before reaching the nearest law enforced town, but the governor in charge said he couldn't bother himself with bandit raids on filthy outskirt towns, he had bigger places that needed protection who actually brought in monthly revenue.
Split nearly killed him in her anger, forcing her and her two companions to flee or be killed. Split now holds nothing but anger towards the governor of that city, she's planning her revenge. But in the meantime she has decided to help her two witch companions with their journey to find someone of great importance, though they refuse to tell her why they need to find this other wolf...
