I want to be a Moderator!
Username
Hello! My username's Trollish, though I go by Troll. I have a lot of random assorted nicknames I go by though, so essentially whatever you call me is alright as long as I know you're talking to me. I currently don't own any Makoatls, though I am trying out for 112.
Familiar with the Rules?
Of course I am! I've read them over quite a few times now, and if for whatever reason an issue makes me unclear whether it's against the rules or not, I'll simply consult them. If it's still unclear what action I should take, I'll consult other moderators or staff to see what course of action I should take- in end all cases I'd consult Cole or Juliet Stargazer. I assume that upholding the rules shouldn't be full of instances where I'd have to consult other staff, seeing as the rules are pretty straightforward and most of them are simply common sense.
Experiences
I've worked in a couple different places, though am currently not working at any of them any more, so Makoatls will be my first and foremost concern when it comes to moderating responsibilities.
- I ran my own species, Desert Racer Dragons, for a period of time. While I found running a species wasn't quite for me, I spent a good time moderating them and running them myself.
- I worked as an artist for Simas, though my Oekaki decided it no longer wanted to work with my pen pressure- so these days I tend to spend more time working on fire alpaca and other programs instead. Common times I'd work as a moderator and help out with keeping people in line as well as making adoptables for people to enjoy.
- While I haven't much experience, I'm more than open to learn. I hope this experience will be a growing experience for me and an opportunity to help me get involved in the community and better participate in this fantastic species.
Do You Have a Skype?
Why yes I do! I prefer to type in the chat box rather than verbally call people, though either is alright by me. I assume we'll be conversing primarily through text regardless. I'm also constantly on Skype, whenever I'm on my home computer I'm online. Generally on week days I won't be online on Skype until 5:30 PM due to my mother's work cycle (I can't drive yet so she picks me up from school) though I'm online periodically throughout the day and am online until late at night, sometimes early morning. Weekends I'm available 24/7, however- unless there are family commitments or gatherings.
Why Do You Want to Mod?
I've always been an admirer of the species, and the artists who work here are phenomenal! I quite frankly adore the designs put out by this species, and really enjoy the adopts as a whole. The community is regrouping, and the community before was fantastic as well! I really want to get involved with this species to assure it continues to thrive as it always has, and so I can enforce the rules to keep things running smoothly for everyone else so everybody can have fun! I intend to be stern, however not rude or harsh so as to let everyone enjoy themselves and have a nice time- as adoptables should be. I want to be a moderator, overall, to help out the staff to the best of my abilities and learn some new things from the experiences I meet along the road.
What Can You Bring to the Table?
Honestly I'll bring a fun environment. As a moderator it would be my job to enforce the rules, however that doesn't mean I have to be cruel and rude- I'll enforce the rules while still maintaining a peaceful and fun space for everyone. I'm generally online a lot, so I can haul my responsibilities well. I spend most of my time on the Oekaki boards and am almost always on CS, so if anyone were to violate rules or need to contact me- I'd be available.
Extra (Anything else?)
Nothing in particular, really. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, and best of luck selecting new guest artists and moderators!
