What is a Makoatl?
A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the Greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

WHAT MAKES A MAKOATL?
-----------------------------------------------------------------



Makoatl (plural, MAKOATLS, MAKOES, or MAKOS.) have several
species-specific identifiers to look for. The first and primary one is what's
called 'the ring.' There can be more than one, and they can be anywhere-
but EVERY SINGLE MAKO has at least one 'o' shaped marking on their body in some place.
A mako without an 'o' is not a mako!



Besides the necessary 'o,' Makoatl can be very different in appearance.
Hair, the presence of horns, and accessories can be varied. Most makoes
DO possess a mane of sorts- any mako with less
is incredibly rare, and more hair than usual is equally uncommon.



Horn-wise, Makoes can possess anything from antlers,
to ram horns, to unihorns, to 'dragon' horns. There is no limit to
the kind available- BUT, not every mako has horns. More often than not, they have
no horns or antlers to speak of!



Accessory-wise, every Makoatl is different. Some collect natural things-
shells, coral, starfish, scales, things of that nature- and attach
them to themselves with fishing line or cords. Others collect nothing at all
and are bare of any accessories. It overall depends on the individual!

- You must be over the age of 16 [If you want to have a full time staff position as staff do many jobs and our private staff chat may have some adult content] -
--If you are under 16 you can apply for GA and be hired as a GA; you may not be hired for a full time artist position--
- You must have a skype account too keep in contact with staff -
- All contests must be free contests; you may not take pets/points/USD for either of your makos -
- If you break any of these rules or the main rules you may have your GA title revoked, a warning, strike, or ban applied depending on the severity of the event -
**We do NOT hire straight artists, we do a trial run with Guest Artists to see how we work together as well as designs**
**If we like a GA enough, the work is good, and they get along with the staff - They can be hired [Must fulfill other requirements]**

- You must be reliable and able to keep contact with me -
- Breedings/Growths are solely free as of this point in time; you may not have people pay for them -
- If you break any of these rules or the main rules you may have your Growth Artist title revoked, a warning, strike, or ban applied depending on the severity of the event -

I have worked at multiple adopt agencies. Currently, I actively moderateCloudy Leopard Adopts,Rainbow paint wolves adopts and Peredaisha Vale adopts. I also keep close tabs on a few other adopts, and report any specious behavior to an official Moderator

Why Do You Want to Mod?

Well, I really,really love Mokoals. They have something about them I just find so interesting. It would be like a dream to be able to proudly stand side-by-side the other workers here and protect the thread from and mischief makers and spammers. Being able to protect this thread- it would be an honor, honestly. I would have a sense of responsibility and maturity if I got this job. I just want to contribute myself into the community and prove myself.

What Can You Bring to the Table?

I really try and keep my cool on little things like spam ,mini-modding ect. but the little bigger things, I tend
to be firm, but not rude in any way. I calmly state what needs to be done/changed and if strikes are given, how many a why. For the team, I am hoping to add on a strong root to hold the community in place. I want to bring the sense of a safe,friendly community, as that's what I want when I join somewhere new. I hope to eliminate any bulling happening here, as this is a big problem in many of communities I am currently in. I am hoping all this can happen.

My online hours, starting the 8th of August;

7 hours Monday-Friday
15 hours Saturday-Sunday
It the best I can do because of school schedule. I promise to try my hardest
to stay up with my duties as a proud mod.
