Rowena isn't a very social kiamara, so stays in her home most of the time, where she reads almost constantly in her free time. When she isn't in her home, she is outside, simply observing. It is said one can learn more by observing than interacting. She has 20/10 vision, and can see very well at night. The greatest mystery, to her, at least, is why her eyes glow. Is it from her excellent vision, or some other means? This question is why she originally took to the books; to solve a lifelong riddle that started the moment she was born.
There is a term, 'eagle-eyed', which some have called her due to her incredible eyesight. Rowena prefers 'raven-eyed', even if it doesn't make as much sense. Ravens are Rowena's favorite bird. They are dark, and have this mystery about them that other birds do not have. Ravens have their secrets, and have a look about them that makes you think that they just know something when they look at you. Ravens are a simple bird; dark, inky black, with a hoarse, haunting cry. But they are as beautiful as they are strange, as in the right light they almost glow with an ethereal purple sheen to their feathers.
Rowena feels very connected to ravens, and at every opportunity she will try to observe them. The ravens like her, as she is quiet, respectful, and offers occasional treats. If you saw someone sitting in the middle of a flock of ravens, you'd think it was a bad omen. But to Rowena, it's the best one there is.
Some think Rowena is strange, a few going as far as to call her creepy, but it doesn't stop them from going to her from advice. As 'strange' as she is for her obsession with ravens, she is very smart, and loves sharing her wisdom with others.
