- indentBelladonna had been toying with a cookie in between her fingers while the Headmaster was making an announcement. She was listening, but only barely, not really caring too much about the Triwizard Tournament. Yes, she had entered, and yes, she would be happy to be chosen, but she didn't take it to heart too much. In fact, Belladonna wasn't even too sure why she had entered in the first place, maybe to try and prove herself, even though she didn't particularly want to prove herself to anybody. Still, Belladonna couldn't help but feel the excitement, dull as it was in the back of her mind, at the thought of actually being chosen, maybe even winning the entire tournament. Yes, because that's likely, Bella, she chastised herself gently, flicking a crumb off of her cloak. Besides, better the title goes to somebody else from Hogwarts, somebody the people actually like. Somebody more popular than you, Belladonna was a loner, in the loosest term possible. She had few friends and a handful of enemies, although the friends she was consistently loyal to and the enemies she didn't think too much of.
indentAny of Bella's current thoughts were dashed away when the Headmaster finally began announcing the champions. Nobody cares about what you have to say, sir. Bella thought amusedly to herself. It was almost true, what with all the excited students whispering about who was going to be chosen. Good thing he kept his speech short this year, Bella examined her fingernails, raising an eyebrow at the Headmaster's stuffy language. Of course, Belladonna herself spoke quite stiffly herself, so she wasn't exactly judging the guy. Only noting that for all his flashy vocabulary, the good Profession Ekladious was hiding a freezing shadow of coldness. Belladonna would know; she hid her own distant emotions on a daily basis, behind a mask of graceful aloofness, chilly and deceptively tranquil.
indentDakota, Declan's twin, both free-spirited Ravenclaws, but friendly all the same. I like them, especially Dakota. She's rather sweet, Belladonna couldn't help but feel a touch in her heart when the Headmaster prepared to announce Hogwarts's own champion. Zach, Bella let out a soft breath, feeling a second of disappointment that it wasn't her, although it paled in comparison to the warmth that spread in her heart that one of her only friends was chosen. Zach was a bit obnoxious and cheeky at times, but Belladonna enjoyed his company and did her best to keep him grounded. Is he gloating right now? I hope he's being mature about the whole thing, When Belladonna heard Arielle's name, she bit the inside of her cheek to keep from groaning. The annoying Beauxbatons girl had been Sorted into Gryffindor, most unfortunately, for Arielle for some unknown reason seemed to loathe Belladonna. She was too loud, too flirtatious, too shallow and bothersome for Belladonna to even attempt to be nice to her. Instead, Bella did her best to ignore her existence and hope that Arielle would just go away on her own accord. Still, Belladonna was merely focusing on Zachary at the moment, about the only person called up who she gave a damn about.
indentAs the champions walked up, including the Ravenclaw boy, Belladonna reached up a hand and brushed it gently against his as he passed, offering him a smile that was actually sincere for once, not just plastered on as some sort of disguise. "Congratulations, Forrest. Try not to look too arrogant up there," Still grinning, Bella offered him the cookie she was holding, giving him a lazy wink before releasing her gentle hold on his wrist.
indentSmoothly, nonchalantly, as if everything in the world as normal, Belladonna got to her feet while everyone else in the Great Hall was preoccupied with applauding the newly chosen champions. Slipping over to the Slytherin table so quickly and casually most people probably didn't even notice, Bella sat down next to Aaron, deliberately oblivious to the stares she was attracting of the Slytherins sitting near him. "Has anybody ever told you that you always have a look of boredom on your face?" Belladonna commented smoothly, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "Look at little Zach, already a champion. They grow up so fast," Bella hummed pleasantly, gaze rolling over to Aaron. "Disappointed you weren't chosen?" The question was casual, innocent, because everything Bella did was casual or relaxed. It was almost like she had no direction, however untrue the assumption. In reality, everything Bella did actually had a reason, however slight, and she was just making sure Aaron was all right.
