indentBelladonna had been toying with a cookie in between her fingers while the Headmaster was making an announcement. She was listening, but only barely, not really caring too much about the Triwizard Tournament. Yes, she had entered, and yes, she would be happy to be chosen, but she didn't take it to heart too much. In fact, Belladonna wasn't even too sure why she had entered in the first place, maybe to try and prove herself, even though she didn't particularly want to prove herself to anybody. Still, Belladonna couldn't help but feel the excitement, dull as it was in the back of her mind, at the thought of actually being chosen, maybe even winning the entire tournament. Yes, because that's likely, Bella, she chastised herself gently, flicking a crumb off of her cloak. Besides, better the title goes to somebody else from Hogwarts, somebody the people actually like. Somebody more popular than you, Belladonna was a loner, in the loosest term possible. She had few friends and a handful of enemies, although the friends she was consistently loyal to and the enemies she didn't think too much of.
indentAny of Bella's current thoughts were dashed away when the Headmaster finally began announcing the champions. Nobody cares about what you have to say, sir. Bella thought amusedly to herself. It was almost true, what with all the excited students whispering about who was going to be chosen. Good thing he kept his speech short this year, Bella examined her fingernails, raising an eyebrow at the Headmaster's stuffy language. Of course, Belladonna herself spoke quite stiffly herself, so she wasn't exactly judging the guy. Only noting that for all his flashy vocabulary, the good Profession Ekladious was hiding a freezing shadow of coldness. Belladonna would know; she hid her own distant emotions on a daily basis, behind a mask of graceful aloofness, chilly and deceptively tranquil.
indentDakota, Declan's twin, both free-spirited Ravenclaws, but friendly all the same. I like them, especially Dakota. She's rather sweet, Belladonna couldn't help but feel a touch in her heart when the Headmaster prepared to announce Hogwarts's own champion. Zach, Bella let out a soft breath, feeling a second of disappointment that it wasn't her, although it paled in comparison to the warmth that spread in her heart that one of her only friends was chosen. Zach was a bit obnoxious and cheeky at times, but Belladonna enjoyed his company and did her best to keep him grounded. Is he gloating right now? I hope he's being mature about the whole thing, When Belladonna heard Arielle's name, she bit the inside of her cheek to keep from groaning. The annoying Beauxbatons girl had been Sorted into Gryffindor, most unfortunately, for Arielle for some unknown reason seemed to loathe Belladonna. She was too loud, too flirtatious, too shallow and bothersome for Belladonna to even attempt to be nice to her. Instead, Bella did her best to ignore her existence and hope that Arielle would just go away on her own accord. Still, Belladonna was merely focusing on Zachary at the moment, about the only person called up who she gave a damn about.
indentAs the champions walked up, including the Ravenclaw boy, Belladonna reached up a hand and brushed it gently against his as he passed, offering him a smile that was actually sincere for once, not just plastered on as some sort of disguise. "Congratulations, Forrest. Try not to look too arrogant up there," Still grinning, Bella offered him the cookie she was holding, giving him a lazy wink before releasing her gentle hold on his wrist.
indentSmoothly, nonchalantly, as if everything in the world as normal, Belladonna got to her feet while everyone else in the Great Hall was preoccupied with applauding the newly chosen champions. Slipping over to the Slytherin table so quickly and casually most people probably didn't even notice, Bella sat down next to Aaron, deliberately oblivious to the stares she was attracting of the Slytherins sitting near him. "Has anybody ever told you that you always have a look of boredom on your face?" Belladonna commented smoothly, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "Look at little Zach, already a champion. They grow up so fast," Bella hummed pleasantly, gaze rolling over to Aaron. "Disappointed you weren't chosen?" The question was casual, innocent, because everything Bella did was casual or relaxed. It was almost like she had no direction, however untrue the assumption. In reality, everything Bella did actually had a reason, however slight, and she was just making sure Aaron was all right.

I do hope that this is fine for a first post ^^
Ivy looked around, she was a tad late coming in and was
looking for Nathanael. She never really had many friends and
this year she was planing to change that. As she walked, she
looked over to where all the Slytherin's sat and bit her bottom
lip. She couldn't help but started fussing with her tie before
fumble with her robe, insuring that it was where it was meant
to be and was straight on her body. Her washed-out honey hair
was placed half up in a small ponytail, held together with a green
bow while the rest of it curls cascaded down , and resting upon her
shoulders. The sound of her black flats clicking agents the tile
floors seem to rack her nerves some, feeling as if everyone
was able to hear the loud click-clack as she walked. She
knew for a fact that this was all in her head and as soon as
she found Nathanael, she would be able to calm down and
enjoy the feast that was presented to them, to celebrate
the tournament that was about to take place at their school.

She didn't know much about the tournament just the rumors
on how dangerous they where and the fact the champions
had to be of the legal age of eighteen to take place in the
tournament. She looked down at her feet while she was lost
in her own thoughts, wondering if maybe next time the
tournament comes around, if she should enter it or not.
Though having her enter it would give her father more of a
reason to brag about her to his co-workers and boss in the
ministry, maybe a low profile would even be better till all
of the political stuff calmed down even more...She could't
help but over hear her mother and father talking at night
and had a general idea of whats going on do to the papers
and her fathers rants.

Once she found Nathanael, she took the empty seat next
to him and smiled gratefully that there was still room at
the table to allow her to join the company of her friend.

"Hey Nathanael. How are you?" She asked
as she looked at him before having her attention drown to
the jack-o-lanter that sat in the middle of their table as
center piece. It wasn't long after she asked him about his
holiday way from school did the Head Master speak up and
began to draw names from the goblet. After each name was
announces she would give a small golf clap and look around
to see if she could tell who was the champions for this year.

Hope you don't mind Tus if my character start with
your character in the beginning ^^
Jace sat at the Hufflepuff table in which he was enjoying the
company of his good friend Lock. He couldn't help but fidget
with the spoon that was in the palm of his hand and look over
at the goblet that held a variety of names, both from his school
and the other two schools that would be joining them this year
for the tournament. The Goblet was some what intimidating
in ways as it's brilliant flame seem to dance majestically around
it. It seem to illuminate the great hall in a unfathomable way,
making him thrilled that he would not be participating in the
upcoming events. He had his mother to continually worry about
as well he didn't want her to throw a fit for entering a
tournament with treacherous challenges that could plausibly
kill him.

He looked over at Lock and couldn't help but ask
"Did you drop
your name into the Goblet?"
He couldn't exactly say that his
friend would never do such a thing but then again his friend
may as well have. He soon let out a groan as the Head Master
came up and began to pull names out of the bloody Goblet.
Once it was all over he couldn't help let out a long breath as
if he was holding it the whole time. He had no worry, for he
didn't enter his name in the goblet, nevertheless it was still
nerve racking and tenses at the same time. He then put his
spoon down and looked over the spread of food the laid out
before them. It all look astonishing and yet he was still getting
over his nerves and picked up a piece of breed and began to
tare it apart into little bite size pieces and placing them onto
his plate.

He couldn't help but continue to hyperventilate just a little
no longer worried about his own wellbeing and the health
of the champions that where not having to take place in
the coming up challenges that they will endeavor, not just
intellectually but physically as well. He took in a couple
more deep breaths to slow down his racing heart and
chucked at how childish he was acting. He didn't need
to belabor the the situation anymore then he already has
and let his shoulder slump some as he attempted to
loosen up. He looked over at Lock and again smiled
a more discontented smile and said
"Well I'm sure glade
that over with now.."
he then rolled his shoulder once
or twice.

"so preston," she began, glancing sideways at lucie with a smile, "lucie are looking forward to the upcoming quidditch season. do you guys have cheerleaders, i'm sure the beauxbatons girls wouldn't mind putting on a show for you." she told him with a smile. she herself had no interest in the slytherin boy. it was well known she found bowen lakler attractive, but even that wasn't anything serious or deep. henri was know for being a bit shallow about relationships. of course she had recently become interested in another durmstrang student that only her and lucie were aware of. declan had also been sorted into ravenclaw which meant they saw each other quite often. she never really found the opportunity to talk to him.

she was going to continue her match making with preston and lucie, but was interrupted by headmaster ekladious. she listened intently to the names being drawn from the goblet. she was friends with two of the three champions, the third that she wasn't friends with happened to be declan's twin. she glanced over her shoulder at them, seeing declan cheering wildly for his sister. she clapped politely, being a lady like always.

"what a shame you weren't chosen preston, lucie could have been your personal cheerleader." she teased with a wink. lucie was either going to love her or hate her. or maybe it would be a little of both. at least she knew she wouldn't die. no, lucie loved her too much or so henri liked to tell herself.

cas sat stuffing his mouth full of little pumpkin cakes. the elves normally only made them for halloween so cas always tried to get his fill. after eating somewhere between ten to fifteen of them, one of the other hufflepuff students told him to lay off them before he ate all of them. with an embarrassed smile, he stood up from the bench, crouching down and shuffling over to the ravenclaw table. sneaking up behind quince he placed his hands on either side of her and grinned as he tickled her ribs. "hey shortie," he greeted her.

giving her a light shove, he squeezed himself in between quince and the ravenclaw student seated next to her. he mumbled a small apology for knocking into them. he then turned his attention to his smart friend. "this is exciting. i'm kind of scared though. i entered my name but now i'm dreading it. what if i get picked? wait don't answer that." he rambled on. almost as soon as he said that, the headmaster began to speak. he felt the nervous flutter of butterflies in his stomach as the anticipation built up. when zachary was picked for hogwarts he felt relieved, yet still a bit disappointed. mostly he was glad it wasn't quince. she was a good witch an all, but he still felt she was too delicate or sweet to fight someone else.

he sat a moment in silence before turning to face her again. he ran a hand through his own dirty blonde hair, chuckling nervously. "so i guess we'll be watching the tournament." he said. "at least we still have quidditch, which by the way i'm gonna beat your butt at." he teased, sticking his tongue out playfully. "ugh, but i still have slug club. i'd quit but one, slughorn gives me the creeps and i don't want him haunting me. two, i feel bad for the guy. like choking on a bone, what a dreadful death." he shuddered at the thought of slughorn. he glanced up at the professors' table, seeing the floating professor hovering over his seat.

---AGNES MCCORKINDALE
--seventh year slytherin
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Waiting for the headmaster to speak was so stupidly boring. So boring in fact, that it made time slow down. Every minute felt like thirty, every five felt like a whole damn day. She was so impatient, she'd been waiting for this day since she'd heard of this whole contest. The Scottish lass had been one of the first in line to put her name in that old goblet, and honestly she hoped that the hunk of wood and magic chose her. If anyone actually looked at her they could tell so easily. Agnes was void of her normal confident and cool act, but instead was fidgeting impatiently while practically staring up at the goblet. In fact, strangely Agnes hadn't even touched any of the food in those jack-o-lanterns. Which was very uncharacteristic of her. Being of MacCorkindale blood made both of the ginger twins hefty eaters, some even wondered where the hell they put it! But, no, food was at the very bottom of her priorities.

So invested in simply waiting for this ceremony to begin, Agnes didn't even pay attention to her surroundings. She took no note of her surrounding, and payed no attention to anyone around her. Which was actually quite silly. Perhaps if she had actually talked to those around her this whole damn thing would go much more easily. But, just like food, socializing was at the very bottom of her priorities. Arms crossed as she finally broke gaze with the Goblet of Fire, remembering some proverb or whatever that basically said "a watched pot will never boil". Maybe it was the same with Goblets, and, thankfully, it actually worked. Much to her relief, because Agnes was sure if she had to wait any longer she would rip her own hair out. As soon as she looked away, the headmaster stood to speak. Attention once again flashed back to Professor Ekladious and that stupid hunk of wood and fire. Red eyebrow raised as she listened to him speak of the history of Hogwarts or something. Unimportant to her at the moment.

Interest sparked in the girl's green eyes when she caught the flame of the goblet doing a thing. Those odd blue flames were now flickering red, and when he pulled that piece of paper from that goblet she desperately hoped that it that it was her. But, of course it was not. It was some pretty raven claw girl for that school that was staying with Hogwarts. Durmstrang. She was pretty sure that's what Ekladious had said. Green eyes moved from the cauldron to glance over to her to watch her reaction. Haha, the surprised look on her face was priceless. Agnes hoped she lived. In this time, she missed the Headmaster take another slip of paper. "Zachary Forrest for Hogwarts!" Eyes switched from watching the Dakota girl, to Professor Ekladious, and then to Zachary Forrest.

    What. The. Eff.

Fist slammed onto the table, in outrage at this revelation. It wasn't a hard enough slam to gather a lot of attention, but perhaps the people nearby her had noticed. Anger boiled in her stomach, and jealousy raged in her heart. How dare that stupid cup pick a wimpy little Ravenclaw over her. Or any of the slytherins! Not a damn one of them had been chosen! What? Did that stupid effin' cup have something against Slytherin? Ugh. She wanted to drown that stupid thing in the lake. It was worthless. Probably broken too. It made horrible choices. Finally, she took notice to what was around her. Ribbon, a girl that Agnes happened to like, was sitting next to her. She also noticed Ivy and Nathanael as well, but Ribbon was closest to her. Therefore she would talk to her. Agnes nudged Ribbons side before opening her mouth, "Aye, Rib, can ya believe this bull crap? Not a single effin' Slytherin." Scottish accent was thick. Not too long after closing her mouth, the ginger Slytherin would move to cross her arms. Clearly annoyed by these antics.

---LOCK MACCORKINDALE
--seventh year hufflepuff
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Lock was happily gobbling up all the food he could get into his jolly mouth. Everything but anything pumpkin flavored. Which, didn't give him much variety due to the fact it was fall so of course it was used in most of the dishes. The boy's blue eyes gave a glare to the jack-o-lantern closest to him. Ew. But, still, the hearty ginger took what he could get. He wasn't eating messily, of course. No, Lachlann had manners, of course! He wasn't raised a savage. I mean, he was of a very powerful Scottish pureblood family. Couldn't have people thinking MacCorkindale's were sloppy. At least that's what Ma always told her children when they were sitting down to dinner.

The Scottish lad obviously had no interest in that silly hunk of wood that sat up in front of them. In fact, he hadn't even looked at it once since he sat down. The food in front of him was much more interesting. Mouth was full of food when he heard his friend Jace speak up. A finger was held up in a sign that he wanted Jace to wait a moment. Once he had chewed up and swallowed, he finally opened his lips. "Nah, 'aven't got much interest in that nonsense. Perfectly stupid reason for gettin' yerself into senseless trouble if ya ask me. Besides, I got Quidditch to worry 'bout." That was true, there was a chance he could get hurt and ruin his chance at being drafted into Pride of Portree, as well as a chance to play at the World Cup in the name of mighty Scotland. Hearty laugh was given at this before turning to give a glance at his sister at the Slytherin table. "Think my sister did, though." Tone turned slightly worried towards the end.

Lock knew his sister was a tough gal, and he knew she could handle herself. But he worried for her. Really. Blue eyes glanced back at his friend before asking, "Did ya put yer's in?" The ginger doubted it, Jace didn't seem like the type that went for guts and glory. No, he was sure Jace wouldn't risk his life over something as trivial as this. He still asked though, just to be sure he didn't have to worry for his friend as well as his sister. In fact, he worried for all the contestants that had put their names in. If Lachlann knew anything, it was that this contest was dangerous. Incredibly so. Chance of death wasn't exactly low.

When the Headmaster began speaking, Lock stopped eating. Swallowing anything that he had in his mouth as he glanced up at that firey goblet. Momentarily he wondered how the heck a piece of wood didn't catch on fire. Then, he realized that was a stupid thought because he lived in a land of magic and witchcraft. How silly of him to wonder when there was no explanation. Besides, magic. In his baffled thoughts, he missed the first person. But he caught Zachary Forrest from Hogwarts and that was good enough for him. No reason to worry for his sister anymore. Blue eyes drifted to her just in time to catch her slam her fist on the table out of rage. Hmph, that seemed like her. Silly spitfire of a lass she was.

Lock was lucky to have caught Jace's words as he was much too busy trying to watch his sister and make sure that she didn't flip the stinking Slytherin table out of rage. "Huh? ..Oh, yeh, I'm pretty 'appy bout it m'self." Loud laugh was given himself as he placed a comforting hand on his friend's shoulder. "'least we don't 'ave to worry 'bout gettin' our faces burnt off by dragons or drowned by them things in tha' lake." That's what happened last time, wasn't it?

Nathanael presently sat alone at the Slytherin table, his thoughts elsewhere. He was looking at the Goblet of Fire, perched high on its podium with its flickering flames. Of course, he had put his name in - eternal glory didn't sound too shabby after all - but the odds of actually being chosen were so slim that he hadn't bothered to really consider the possible outcome if it was his name the headmaster called out. Leaning his elbow on the table and resting his chin on the palm of his hand, Nathanael slowly trailed his absent gaze about the Great Hall, wondering where on earth his companions were wandering. He was interrupted mid-thought when a familiar voice met his ears - Ivy was slipping into the vacant seat next to him. A warm grin slipped over his lips, and he returned the greeting, tilting his head at her while his chin still rested lazily on his palm. "Hey, Ivy." he said over the general chit-chat of the other students in the great hall. Before he could actually reply to her simple question, the headmaster cut off all chatter and began to give his speech. Nathanael looked up to the front of the hall, his dark eyes settling on the middle-aged man as the flames of the Goblet flickered and spluttered out a scrap of paper. Within the next couple of minutes, the champions were announced: Dakota, Zachary, and Arielle. A small smirk slipped over his lips as his eyes trailed across the hall, finding Dakota quite easily despite the crowd. Zachary was walking with her - obviously they'd been sitting together. But the smirk on his face broadened all the more a moment later: the look on Declan's face was utterly priceless. Nathanael knew that the Durmstrang girl would do well in the tournament, but he wasn't sure about the others. He didn't really know Zachary, or Arielle, so it was difficult for him to guess what kind of competition Dakota would be up against. Watching as the champions approached the headmaster in their announced order, he joined in the applause graciously, only half-listening as the headmaster said some more words and then the hall erupted with conversation once again. Turning to Ivy, a smile still lingering about his face, Nathanael was about to comment on the champions when he was interupted, once again gosh darn. The sensation of a fist slamming onto the table made his elbow wobble, and he blinked in mild surprise at the random outburst. He knew who the infuriated Slytherin was before he even caught sight of her. Aggie's cheeks had flared to a pink tinge. She was sitting a few seats away, next to Ribbon, who had suddenly appeared from nowhere it seemed. A cheeky grin zipped across his face as he gently nudged Ivy, nodding down the table towards Aggie. Clearly she was outraged about the chosen champions and how none of them were in Slytherin, and the sight of her ranting was humorous to say the least. "Couldn't agree more, Aggie." he said with just a touch of playful sarcasm, "I mean, if they're gonna pick somebody for eternal glory, then obviously the Goblet should have gone for a Slytherin. We're all so terribly ambitious and all that, eternal glory was made for us to snatch it all up." Nodding as if this confirmed the completely ridiculous theory, Nathanael straightened up and prodded his empty stomach stubbornly. "This tournament stuff is great and all, but when do we get food, cause I -" For the fourth time within the past half hour, he was interrupted yet again, but at least it was for an especially good cause. Food appeared on vast platters all along the length of the Slytherin table, and immediately he swooped to scrape the best stuff onto his plate before anybody else could sneak those delightful things the British called 'Yorkshire Puddings'. They were not puddings of any sort Nathanael had ever seen, but he had decided not to question such a tasty thing. As he took to the feast, he kept his attention on his fellow Slytherins. "Since I suppose everybody's going to be betting on the champions - 5 Galleons says Dakota wins said eternal glory."

Ivy snickered as soon as she was nudged by
Nat and looked down the table to see the fiery red head that
went by Angie and called to her
"Naw, if it had chosen one of us
it wouldn't be enjoyable for the rest of them. They would
have to fight for second place instead of first. This way the
tournament would be a little more entertaining. Other wise
Slytherin would just snow-ball throughout the challenges."
She exclaim hopping to calm the girl whom was

towards Nat once again and rose a brow to his wager.
"Now,
now."
She stated and shook her head as she tisked. "You may
do as you please with you galleons, I on the other hand plan
to make a lovely profit with the opportunity at hand."
She
then gave Nat a sly smirk and winked at him, she was clearly
up to mischief and knowing her, she had a master plan already
schemed up in her little head. She twirled her hair between her
fingers as if to be completely innocent of her devilish ways,
though it wasn't long before the table was set and the aroma of
baked breads and great variety of meats, ranging from wild
boar to beef caught her attention. Though she could see that
Nat had not hesitated when the Yorkshire Pudding had appeared,
quickly scooping as many as he could onto the plate in front of
him. Ivy on the other hand couldn't help by give him a hard time
"You know there is plenty to be had and you'll make your self sick,
if you don't watch it"
She giggles and swiped on of his puddings
off his plate and right onto hers.
"Anyhow enough with the

She insisted and took a good size bite out of the
pudding and looked back at Nat rather seriously.
"There is now
more important things you need to worried about."
She added
and place her pudding down and wiped her face clean, once the
napkin was placed neatly in her lap and went on to say
"Have you
considered who you are going with to the dance?"
She rose a brow
and placed her hands upon her lap. All though she had a elegant
gown of her own, she didn't intend on going. She instead would
have plenty of things to do the next couple of days, making charms
instead of trying to get a date. She then went on to take a sip for
her water and began to put a couple of things on her plate. One
elbow rested on the wooden table top as her shaggy bangs fell in
front of her blue eyes. She loved many things and yet she couldn't
help but add a health dose of chips onto her plate along with
some ketchup. Overall she was ok with the Champions that where
picked, probably becuase she didn't really know any of them and
so she wouldn't have to worry about the well fair of a fellow
classmate or friend. She was then lost in her thoughts causally
dipping a chip here or there and popping it into her mouth before
slowly chewing on it. She figured if she could get at less
twenty-five or so girls to by her charms for the dance at a galleon
an hour, making roughly five galleons per charm, she could have
around a hundred and twenty-five galleon by the time the dance
came around. Maybe even double that if she then raised the rise
for charms being made late notice. Though her other charms sold
well, this would be a good time to get some extra cash. With the
extra galleons in her bank she could probably by herself and owl
or a animal companion of some sort, or even a new broom stick.
Even though her parents offered to buy her new things she kinda
liked the feeling she received when she manages to earn it herself.
Then out of the blue she asked Nat
"Have you ever Ballroom danced
before?"

━━━the curious ravenclaw━━━
◂tagged bowen, belladonna, dakota, declan

for one zachary forrest it didn't take long to make the decision on putting his name in the infamous goblet of fire. he had his doubts on why would the heavy hewn wooden goblet spit out his name, him being the overthinking ravenclaw that rarely ever had a knack for adventure. if anything, he did it just to spite bowen, the slytherin who tookevery and any chance to remind him that he is nothing but a muggle and unworthy of the magic he happened to exhibit. in fairness to zach he never asked for his letter. if anything he was sort of bummed when he learned that he was to leave his home to go to boarding school, and not only that but he was forced to discontinue his muggle education, where he was not only doing an astounding job in his studies but making good friends as well. when he opposed the question on whether or not he must go to this unheard of school he learned that the choice has already been made for him. young wizards and witches had to attain discipline and instructions on using their magic or they could wreck havoc in the world, not on purpose of course. but what disappointed the young boy even further was the revelation that maths and logic were practically invaluable in a society where defying logic was the founding bases of it. sure they had arithmancy, but that didn't even get close to what the overachieving ravenclaw wanted to make his life past time.

declan and dakota o'malley were transfers from the durmstrang institute and as much as zach would have wanted to admit that he hated the guts out of both of them, one half of the duo made that seem impossible. but the other part was enough to supply him with enough disdain for the two of them. dakota was bragging that she and her brother, seating to her side, had been able to empty four tankards of butterbeer in two minutes. as much as he didn't care how capable was declan, zach enjoyed seeing dakota trying to convince him. "i guess you'll have to show me sometime" he proposed, just as the new headmaster got up from his feet and threatened to delay the announcement as much as needed until he got the silence that he demanded from the hall.

zach was pleased when the last headmaster, filius flitwick, retired to spend the last of his years in full and utter isolation. it seemed the decades spent teaching and educating young minds finally had it's toll on the professor. what he probably hadn't realized was that the consequences of his many years at hogwarts first saw light way before he stepped down from his post. for the six years zach had been into hogwarts he had never once saw the headmaster or sense any authority from his part. the school was practically run by patricia stimpson, the deputy headmistress who enjoyed causing grief to all and any students. so when professor ekladious sowed concern for the welfare of the students and the school, zach was pleasantly surprised, opposed to the neutrally unexpected even in which the new headmaster was not picked from the already very capable school alumni but an outsider, to the obvious and great dismay of professor stimpson. a short speech to welcome the foreign students to hogwarts was over due. when the flames of the goblet turned fiery red and a parchment wavered in the air he felt his intestines knot and tie. dakota o'malley from durmstang! the headmaster announced and for a fleeting moment he witnessed fear in dakota's widened eye before it turned to sheer excitement. the girl barely had the time to get out from the bench before the next name was called. he didn't even see the parchment being spat out as he was too busy determining where his feelings were for dakota being chosen for champion.

zachary forrest for hogwarts! and the ravenclaw table roared in approval for the second time followed by the length of the other three houses. he lost his legs, and his head and the part of his torso ought to be was turned upside down but he found what was left of his strength to get up with showing as little surprise as he could muster and following dakota to join her next to the goblet, who out of all the names decided it was funny to chose his. he tried to assess possible outcomes for the tournament as his wide grin flashed at all the supportive pats on his back and light touches on his hand. he felt someone grab his wrist and looked down to meet belladonna gwyn who was sitting on the gryffindor table. he could barely hear her over the loud cries of the other students but the genuine smile was hard to miss. he accepted her token, a cookie from one of the many of the table, and as she let go he took a tight grip of her hand in appreciation and let go of her as he passed the table adorned with red.

he walked until dakota stopped and he stopped beside her. he looked up to the table where all the professors were seated and saw the approving smile of slughorn's half translucent self. the potion's professor had taken a liking to the muggle boy so much that he had invited him to join his club of all the students that he believe would make it great in the future. zach could tell that he was proud that he had passed a promising verdict for the ravenclaw and will be telling it far and wide that his student was chosen by the goblet. he took a bite of the cookie as he turned around to see arielle of beauxbatons advancing towards them. "this is going to be exciting, ain't it?" he asked with a grin stretching ear to ear.

the goblet has chosen. the headmaster continued looking at the three that stood by his side. professor stimpson will now lead you out of the hall to receive further instructions on the tournament. there was a magical contract binding him now and he could not step down from this challenge. he looked over at the slytherin table. he wondered what were they conversing about now, they must be disappointed that not one of the champions were from their house. if only he could see bowen's face now.

░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░
it was no surprise that the school's resident bad boy, preston chambers, had entered his name into the goblet of fire. it'd always been his family's dream to have their son bring hogwarts to victory as they were so sure he was capable of doing so. truth be told though, he was already swamped with a dozen other activities, minus the fact that the entire competition itself could get him hurt or worse, killed. this didn't so much as bother him rather put a dent in his actual will to take place in it. after all he was not only the captain of slytherin's quidditch team, he was also the slytherin prefect and a golden member of the slug club. needless to say, he'd had more than his fill of activities to take on and this was just a simple shout into the void, asking permission to take on another that wouldn't send his blood boiling if he didn't get it.

preston had been seated at the end of the slytherin table, joined by lucie and henri. they were two of his newer friends to be exact, although there was never a time the boy wasn't collecting a massive wave of new friends. it seemed no matter how awful of a person he acted or all the awful things he got in trouble for, everyone seemed to always take a liking to it. upon hearing henri's voice pipe up among the sea of many other roaring voices, his icy blue eyes flickered up to meet the girl's gaze. "cheerleaders huh? maybe the headmaster would consider it because i'd thoroughly enjoy that show." he teased back, sending a look lucie's way in response. a quidditch fan hmm? he'd keep a special hold on this sliver of information the quarter-veela seemed keen to let him in on. after all nothing that girl said was without reason. normally though you wouldn't see a slythering mixing with a ravenclaw, in fact most slytherin's didn't like to branch out too far, but henri was a valuable exception.

after what seemed like forever of waiting for the headmaster ekladious to announce the names from the goblet, the time finally came. zachary, dakota, and arielle. even though getting into the triwizard cup wasn't exactly his priority, preston couldn't help the slight resentment poking at his mind. all of which had been named were considered friends of the well known boy and he'd have to make note to congratulate them later. due to this fact though, he wasn't particularly looking forward to finding which to root for. zach, who was a valuable friend, dakota who was a pest at times but still fun to be around, or arielle, the devious gryffindor that'd captured his eye from day one. with an annoyed sigh he dropped the entire idea of it all and focused back on the friends who'd joined him seating wise today.

"haha, lucie my cheerleader? i'd love to see that. i mean she doesn't strike me as the cheer leading type." he teased once more, easily turning in his chair to face the so far, quiet girl. eyeing her up and down once or twice, he broke out into a quirky smile and folded his arms over his chest. "are you holding out on me? 'cause i'd thoroughly enjoy having my own little cheerleader." nothing that ever came out of his mouth was ever remotely serious unless he was yelling. the only thing you could possibly gather differently was that they all held some truth, in which was obvious to point out. the boy definitely didn't mind having his own cheerleader, certainly to keep his mind off the tri-wizard tournament going on without him.

RIBBON..
━━━━━slytherin━━━━━
taggs◝◝ ivy, agnes, nathaneal

nobody knew that ribbon had entered the triwizard tournament. she didn't want anybody to be like, "oh my gosh you are way to happy to be in this serious tournament". so, she didn't tell anybody. she had secretly snuck down at night and entered her name without anyone knowing. she was slightly nervous, but didn't show it. ribbon was rambling on about what it was like at beaubaxtons to a hogwarts student, until the headmaster started to speak. ribbon immediately shut her mouth out of habit. at beaubaxton the students where taught to show respect whenever their headmaster spoke. even though she didn't like the idea of being quiet, but she did as she was told. she wasn't the kind of girl to get in trouble. the goblet of fire produced three small pieces of parchment, holding the names of the students that would enter the tournament on them. as all three names where called, ribbon was a bit disappointed that she didn't get to enter, but hey, the goblet of fire knew what it was talking about. or writing about. it had always interested her, how it had a mind of its own. as agnes, the fellow slytherin beside her slammed her fist on the table, she let out a yelp of surprise, and jumped up. dang, that girl had problems. the students at beaubaxton where always respectful. sort of."well, ze houses at hogwarts is all new to me, and since we will only be here until ze tournament is over, i dont especially care for zem. but i am slightly disappointed that i was not chosen."ribbon said, turning to the ginger slytherin. her french accent was thick and slipped off her tounge with ease. her english wasn't her best language, since her main one was french. but they could sort of understand what she was saying through the thick accent. watching as the competitors got up, her eyes followed them until they vanished. her money was on zachary. he seemed to know what he was doing. they where friends, not to close yet not to far. ribbon turned half her attention to ivy and nathaneal, ready to reply to agnes if she spoke again. nathaneal and ribbon considered each other as family. she treated him like he was her big brother, and he treated her like a little sister. ivy was a friend, sort of like zachary, they where not to close and not to far. at the mention of the yule ball, ribbon smiled slightly. she wondered who would ask her, if anyone asked her. she hadn't picked out an outfit to wear, but she brought a couple of outfits to chose from.

╔════════════╗
silence is one of aimee's
strongest characteristics. she
is often the one in the back of
the room, with her nose in a
book, instead of actually trying
to talk to other people. because
of her constant silence, she is
usually not even noticed by most.
if they do, it's because they notice
her appearance. she is petite and
skinny, with long blonde hair
coming to her hips. many would say
she looks innocent and pretty, but
aimee has no confidence in her looks.
she is very shy, often worrying about
what other people think of her.
because of her unnecessary worrying,
she doesn't talk to people out of
fear. the friends she makes aren't
because she walks up to them to
talk. her large blue eyes are
often scanning around her, looking
out in case someone wants to make
fun of her. aimee is not a risk taker,
especially if it means breaking a
rule. aimee believes that following
the rules means she won't stand
out among the students, which
is exactly what she wants in life.

harley is one for justice. he
doesn't believe in letting people
get away with rude actions or
bullying in any sort of way. he
believes that people should be
treated fairly so no one has to
be left behind. harley is so
uptight because of his heritage.
his father is a big man down at
the ministry of magic, and
harley has always felt burdened
to live up to his father's great
line. because of this image,
harley makes sure that he does
nothing to tarnish his family's

the best, whether it be in the
academic aspect or his father's

he has succeeded in the latter,

better himself for his father.
because of his ever pleasing
