Kennel:Twenty
Section:FoN
Name:Aurelius
Breed:Dzelvar
Age:Through research I have learned that hawks can live up to/around two decades and the fact that a Dzelvar's lifespan is somewhat longer, I would say that Aurelius is around four years of age due to the fact that he is still considerably young.
Why do you want this animal?/What will you do for this animal?:You have heard of the saying "love at first sight," yes? Well, that's what this was. I had been having a headmating session with Shy when I saw Aurelius. Our reactions towards him were the same. I hadn't thought that it would be possible for us to love him more, until I began to found out more about his species from Tiki. After those PMs, the possibilities truly were endless.
Aurelius found a place in Shy's story very quickly, a place that fit him like a glove. Now, I can't imagine it without him, and really hope that he will be able to claim his place in it.
I have had some mini headmating sessions with him, Shy, Lytic, and Phantama to see how they interect. And, honestly, the four of them are perfect for each other, and for me. I really feel that I connect with this guy, and do not want to let go of him. This breed truly amazes me, and after finding out so much about it from Tiki, I can't help but feel dedicated towards this angel.
If I win him, he shall be a subject of my scetches, and I will order art of him when possible. He will be a main character in the stories that I wish to write about him and his three companions, and shall also be a headmate of mine. I will probably end up making a thread on CS just for Shy, Aurelius, and if I can win them; Lytic and Phantama. Or, he will be given a website in my almost completed character site network. Either way, he shall be treasured, loved, and never forgotten.
The "Other" Characters:Shy: (Click
here to view this girl.)
Shy is a Coin Chimaera, an ancient, rare species; who's design is based off the cold and starkness of winter.
Her name is somewhat ironic, since it is the absolute opposite of her personality. Shy is bold, impulsive, tactical, and strong; with a dark, bloody history. Being a natural leader, she often takes control of the group. The relationship she shares with Aurelius is somewhat awkward at times, as a "love quadrangle" is in place between the four creatures.
(Due to the fact that she already belongs to me, Shy shall appear in this form.)
Phantama: (I am currently trying for this character through a private adoption, and she shall therefore not appear in this form.)
Lytic:(I am currently trying for this character in a private adoption, and he shall therefore not appear in this form.)
Personality:Youthful: Aurelius is quite young, and it shows through his actions and words. Though he is able to deliver messages as well as any leader of a country, he is still not completely developed emotionally, and it shows.
Steadfast: Aurelius is firm in his beliefs, and does not waver in them. He would sooner die than step from Shy's cause, which greatly contributes to his value.
Brave: For one so young, Aurelius can be quite audacious and bold. He is unafraid to speak his mind, and can be dangerous when angered.
Loyal: This Dzelvar stands up for those he loves, and would do anything for them. It is for this reason that he stays with his companions when he could so easily leave them for a much easier life.
Caring: Aurelius believes that everyone has a spark of good in them, and therefore can't help but to act as the supporter and friend of everyone who is filling to tolerate his good nature.
Thoughtful: Influential: Through his words, this Dzelvar is able to greatly sway the opinions of others, and change the lives of many.
Dislikes:The "Dark": Since his cause opposes this, it is his greatest enemy. The primitive hate and lust for pain that come along with the Dark sicken him more than anything else.
Pain: Whether it be inflicted upon himself or others, hurt and suffering bothers Aurelius. It is in his nature to protect others from such things, and there has a deep hate for them.
Closed Minds: Aurelius likes those who are open to new ideas and thoughts, and carries a great dislike for those who live closed off to his teachings.
Death: Death is one of the few things that scare Aurelius. Because he worships no real god; he has no ideas as to any existance of an afterlife, and worries about what may or may not come next for him after his demise.
Likes:Shy: The saying "opposites attract" has proven to be wuite true for this pair. While both struggle through confused feelings over the other two in their small group, Aurelius and Shy would trust eah other with their lives, and share a very deep bond.
Changes: Aurelius loves to see changes, no matter how small, in the hearts of those who belong to the Dark.
The "Light": It is, after all, his cause. The Light is not a deity or a supreme being, but rather the simple morals and principles of peace that are so rare in his world.
Affection: Aurelius thrives on attention, and loves nothing more than a nuzzle from a close friend. He himself does not completely understand "restraint," and often frutrates his more "emotioanlly hardened" companions with his displays.
History/Background:MissionaryJeondosaMissionarioMissionnaireLähetyssaarnaajaChuánjiào shìMisyonèShyAureliusNo matter what language, what name;
The meaning and purpose remain the same. [/i]

Aurelius was hatched into the small band of missionaries, unlike the others who chose to be there. He was, therefore, different from the start. Being the product of an unplanned love affair; he was discarded, left to die. Fate, however, led those of the Light to him.
The missionaries were not at all normal. They followed their own code of conduct and lives that sharply contrasted with those of the primitive tribes; those who practiced dark cult rituals and believed in living sacrafices.
At first; there was hope for the missionaries. They were a large, thriving group of creatures of all species and breeds that was able to survive, to grow, and to claim more and more members from the Dark. That was, at least, until those who first inhabited the lands revolted against them. By the time Aurelius took his first look at the sun, only four of them remained. They were no longer those who hunted out spirits for their own cause; but rather, they were the hunted.
Strangely, it was the least compassionate our of the three others that took to caring for the little Dzelvar. Shy, already the leader of the two others, took to being Aurelius' caretaker, and quickly found his place in their group.
He was meant to speak.
Intellectual and thougthful; Aurelius became the perfect spokescreature for their cause; his almost mystical voice powerful enough to sway even the the most stubborn of creatures.
With Aurelius on the side of the missionaries, they surely would perservere...

Stone, cool stone beneath my claws, solid and hard. Reiable. Yes, reliable is good.
Perched on the neck ring of Shy, I peer over the tops of her ears, and quickly shrink back at the sight before me.
It is not that I am frightened, but rather, disgusted.
I am able to clearly see the creature at this distance, laying in its own filth, its ungroomed pelt spotted with flies.
Bracing myself, I alight from my companion's ring, and land afore her, meeting her electric blue gaze.
"Do your thing, Aurelius. I'll be watching."
No other words are exchanged, but I butt my head against her chest, sighing happily against the feel of her fur. At Shy's side, I know that I can accomplish anything.
She smiles wryly, unwilling to display any affection or show her feelings of friendship, but rather steps back and gives me a hard look, obviously not planning to wait too long for me to complete my task.
Will I ever get used to these battle-hardened companions of mine?
No, probably not.
With a leap and a few flaps of my wings I soar into the air, approaching the sick creature on the ground. With a determined flex of my talons I alight before him, searching his deep red eyes for any emotion or feeling. I find none.
"Get out o' here, kid."
His voice is gruff, hateful, yet I can detect the hint of remorse. He has probably been discharged from a tribe due to a lack of participation in some grotesque ritual.
"Did ja hear me? Get away."
I meet his gaze, unafraid. partially because I kow that i can defend myself, and also becuase I know tht my darest friend is watching. She would die for me, and I for her.
For another moment I say nothing, readying myself. This is my chance to affect this creature's path, to forever change him. To gain another spirit for the Light.
With a deep breath I speak.
"Have you ever wondered why there is so much hate, so much evil in this world?"
Deep, resonant, beautiful; my voice should have belonged to a god, not a little Dzelvar.
I raise my head, proudly meeting his gaze. He has not yet responded, but I know that this trial has already been won.
Art:Mrr, cute sketch is cute. <3
Other:Thank you very much to whoever judges the forms for this little angel. I've fallen in love with him, and really hope to call him my own. <3
I was not able to spend as much time as I would have wanted on this form, due to a giant part of my research project being due and a frustrating illness, but I hope that my dedication and love for this guy shines through.
