answer: Her markings look like the small icicles that form on the edge of our roof during winter. I live in Canada so frozen water is a constant around here, it can make things beautiful though. The markings also remind me of what happens when rocks have cracks and the water gets inside before freezing. When it freezes it expands pushing the cracks so they become bigger. It is what happens to our roads all the time. So in a way it represents the opportunity to have a fresh start, go from being rough around the edges to smooth and new once again. Water is often viewed as a cleansing thing, or the bringer of changes. In Shakespeare's King Lear there is a well noted scene in which Lear is raging at the storm, he hasn't yet acknowledged his own frailty or mortality thinking he has all the power because he once held the title King. When he emerges from the storm he is a changed man now seeing his own mental instability. This storm is also viewed as a divine justice, as the entire world is angry with Lear for bringing such madness into the kingdom. To me this mares markings represent that stage of metamorphosis right before what was old becomes newer, stronger, and beautiful. Everything has to get worse before it can get better, and in the end is completely worth it.

answer: To me, her markings look like water in a stream. Flowing gently around rocks and pebbles, going ever onward to an unknown destination. Perhaps it sifts slowly into an ocean? Or perhaps it drips into a crystal clear pool where deer and other animals bring their young to drink? No one seems to know where this silvery blue water goes, but that is where the beauty truly comes in to play.

answer: To me, her coat look like the current of a shallow, rushing river with her spots representing the small stones beneath the surface. As her markings progress down her legs, it seems as if there was a waterfall, and the river's flow was disrupted by it. The splash-like markings are where the waterfall ends, and where the water splashes up as a result. Beyond the waterfall, the current calms and simply carries off into another stream.

answer: Where to start... Her spots remind me of rain hitting into a puddle, leaving darker patches where they land. The white could be the water threads, or icicles beginning to form and run along her body. Her blue eye is like the pearl of the ocean, the most beautiful thing of all.

answer: The markings to me are as a icicle slowly melting in summer and dripping water down to a puddle, and the water that dripped down during the winter had been rising up again, evaporating, to once again fall down as snow and as soon as the snow melts and forms water and the next freeze hits, it will be come many icicles again to continue the cycle of water.

answer: her marking make me think of calcified water in a cave, dripping off stalactites and onto stalagmites. Since both those formations are formed by water, they also tie into her markings.

answer: His markings remind me of dark clouds filling up with moisture and giving the earth life as it proceeds to rain down on the grounds. Drips of rain fall from a tree slithering down the bark into the lake below awaiting for the next time the earth needs moisture.

(In a non-poetic/descriptive way to say it reminds me of the dark clouds releasing rain and using the water cycle since the brindles seem to be going both ways that's what came to mind.)
