the entries are lacking what i'm looking for, so I am moving the end date to August 31st.(theres also just a lack of entries)

Excuse me, Avril, but could you may give a little hint to what could possibly lack in our enties? As I am sure everybody of us wants to appeal to your likings as we want to have a chance at becoming an artist at such a wonderful species like this one here. A little information or help could help us greatly to improve our entries and make them look nicer.

Most of the entries aren't that well done. I'm looking for ones that really put effort in their entries, that look like they could be real horses, creativity, ones who had studied the breed and the current adoptables closely, etc etc
I can admit that I don't exactly live up to those expectations myself, but as a PS user Oekaki is very challenging..especially with how limited I am with my tablet on here. Again, pleased don't be offended, but most of the current entries lack knowledge of how horse colors, markings, appearance, etc are and how they look.

I don't expect anyone to live up to these expectations, but I am appreciative to those who entered. At least some more people are interested in this species!


basically, I'm looking for people/entries that really show how well you can draw/color, how well you know horses(hell, if you know them very well please tell me so I can correct some things!)and if you took all the time it says on your entry actually coloring.(As in, if you spent 30+ minutes, the entry should look like you spent that much on it and not doing random things elsewhere to trick me into thinking you spent that long on coloring when you didn't)

please, before anyone else drops out, just because you don't exactly match what i stated doesn't mean you don't have a chance at winning. i'm not going to disqualify you if you don't match those expectations. they were more of guidlines, if you wanted to lean towards winning.

I've just noticed the timer on my second entry, I thought I had closed it but obviously hadn't and then forgot I hadn't closed it by the time I posted it. It took about an hour as I tried a few colours first.

I might drop out tbh - I enjoy colouring these lines, and I did
spend a fair amount of time on it - but even if I did become an
artist, which is unlikely cx, I would only be able to do it part
time.

I will let you know if I do decide to drop out entirely, but for
now, just assume that I am still taking part.
