"Hello and welcome to Pixel Squirrels V.3! I am the thread's mascot, StarQueen, and I'm here to give you the full tour! First off, this thread is where you can adopt your very own Pixel Squirrel. Pixel Squirrels are squirrels seven-to-eight inches tall with only two legs. That's the same for all breeds, though that's it. Pixel Squirrels, or PS'es, are different in almost every way! Ok, ok. You can learn more about breeds on out breeds post. Now's my part.
This is what we call the 'main post'. Here you can find links, this intro, and staff. On this thread as well are the adoptions post, the nursery, the pound, the store, to many posts to mention! We have a quick-and-easy way around the thread links on this post, though, so if you need to get to one all you have to do is click. Well, that's basically it. Unlike most threads that have their rules for different things in different posts, PS has all their rules in one. Want to adopt? Those rules can be found here. Rules for the thread? Here as well. Rules for everything but the Squirrel Park are in this post for a quick and easy find. So read on! I suggest reading all the rules at least once.

Rule breakers are given a warning, strike, or ban, depending on rules they break. Make sure to follow the rules!

Adoption Rules
1.] You have to fill out the form to adopt. Don't
make your own or it will not be accepted.

2.] You can't take a PS that was adopted by
someone else. Please use the search bar
to see if a PS was adopted by another user
is there's no name by it.

3.] Only one from each litter. You may
adopt from each litter posted, though.

4.] You cannot edit forms. If you do
happen to edit, quote it and state
what you edited.

5.] Artists/Admins can reserve from
litters for free, if they made the litter.
Other reserves cost 2 C$, PM for details.

6.] Fill out everything on the form that is
important, such as litter number and the
code-word. Other is optional.

7.] Exact code word. There may be a few
exceptions, such as forgetting to use caps,
forgot a !, etc.

Custom Rules
1.] Do Not request a custom that is similar
to another user(s) squirrel.
2.] Only order when customs are open.
3.] If all slots are full you cannot order.

Rules For The Linearts
1.] Only artists, Guest Artists, and
Co-Owners may use the PS linearts.
2.] UR chickens can only be made by me.
3.] Breeds 'discovered' by someone can
only be used by them.

As StarQueen probably already told you, there are tons of different PS breeds. All PS's share the same only-two-legs and most share the same six-to-seven inches size. But that's it. All breeds of PS are different from the others in tons of ways. Some, the Baby For Life's (BFL's), are only four inches tall- at most! Then the two-tailed PS, the largest breed with two huge tails. Scroll down if you want to read more about these amazing breeds.

Simple

This breed is the most common
breed of PS. It has nothing
unique about it. Nothing, that
is, that you can see without a
microscope. This PS doesn't
have fur- it has tiny feathers!

Spotted

This PS breed is the closest
kin of the Double Spot. They
also have short, spiky fur,
though nearly all of their
body is covered in spots.

Two-Tail

This breed of PS is referred to
as the 'Pitbull of Squirrels'.
Nobody ever wants them as
pets, only as attack squirrels.
They have silky, slightly curled
fur, and are the largest of the
PS breeds. 90% of them are
friendly, and are only mean if
trained to be.

Bunnies

The original PS Bunny was
discovered by sushí back in
2013. It was a very popular
breed and could soon no
longer be found in it's
original habitat. Two of
these rabbits were taken
back to their home in an
effort to repopulate. But
they bred with the Simple
PS'es and made a whole
new breed. These new PS'es
are fairly common, but the
originals are very hard to find.

Flower

Flower PS'es are endangered.
They can be found in one
flower patch on Pixel Island,
the PS's home. They have
knotted fur around their
heads, giving them a
flower-like mane.

Owl PS

These guys may not look a lot
like a PS, but they are. Owl
PS'es were found by
SomethingFishy~ on the
Island in the past months.
Owl PS'es can glide on the air,
though like the chibi wings,
they cannot fly. Owl PS'es
have fur instead of feathers
as well.

Double Spot

This breed of PS is fairly rare.
It'snot common to see them in
normal litter releases. This
breed has short, spiky fur and
two spots, one on it's belly and
the other on it's tail.

Chibi Wing

The Chibi Wing breed was the
first ever winged breed of PS
to have been discovered. They
Have small wings that cannot
lift them off the ground. These
wings are used to find mates or
show off. They have very short
fur, and they average 5 inches.

Flying Squirrel

This winged breed uses it's tiny
wings to glide from tree to tree.
They can fly for a few seconds
at a time, though no more.
They often have longer fur.

Egg PS

Egg PS'es move around by
waddling. If they go to quickly,
or jump, their shell will break.
Egg PS'es never take their shell
off, and they use it as shelter
when it begins to rain.

Thin-Tailed

This very popular breed of PS
has short fur on it's tail instead
of long. This gives it a fat-cat
appearance, and is the perfect
pet for those who are allergic
to cats.

Long Tail

Long Tails are a newer breed,
in which not much is know
about. These PS'es sleep
upside-down hanging by their
tail. These PS'es are usually
really small, and super cute.

Leaf PS

Leaf PS'es are closely related
to Egg PS'es. They have a
leaf-like shell on them that
is often dull browns or greens.
Leaf PS'es are hard to come by
and their eyes only come in
blue and purple when purebred.

BFL Breeds

A BFL is a PS that was born with an illness called 'Baby For Life', aka BFL. These PS'es can grow to be about four inches tall, just barely an inch taller than the UR Chickens. These PS'es are great pets for younger kids, or people who don't like larger pets.

BFL Teacup

BFL Teacups are BFLs, mostly Simple BFLs, that spend a ton of time in cups. Some people say that this isn't a real breed, but others disagree. What do you think?

UR Chicken

The Pixel Squirrel's home, Pixel Island, has only two different species living on it. The Pixel Squirrels, and the UR Chickens. UR Chickens, or 'Ultra Rare Chickens', are small birds. They live close to the ground and in small bushes, and they can be three inches tall at largest. They can fly, but strangely don't lay eggs.

Dress-Up PS

Some people like to dress up dogs and cats in little outfits, and they usually hate it. This PS breed doesn't though. They literally dressed themselves up and won't take off their outfits. And what did they dress themselves up as, you may ask? A bigger squirrel.

Monarch

This breed of PS was discovered by sushí in the past weeks. It seems to be kin of the Chibi Wing breed, though it's wings have changed from tiny useless ones to large, butterfly like ones. These PS'es are great fliers, and hibernate in the winter.

Stray Squirrels

Stray Squirrels are squirrels without homes. They live on the streets or in parks, scavenging for food and places to sleep. These guys aren't their own special breed, and can actually be any breed of PS. A thing that sets them apart though is their matted fur, which they don't have time to clean. These guys can only obtained through breeding, raffles, or our Squirrel Park game.

Hello and welcome to the nursery! Some squirrels are unable to keep their litters, and their children are sent here to be adopted by others. Whether it's because their owner doesn't want more squirrels, or if they just can't take care of them, when they come here they always find a good home. Squirrels that are sent here are called "2nd Generation Squirrels", and have a 2ng sign by them. They are rarer than other PS'es, and litters of them are uncommon. Their mother and father will host there adoption to ensure they go to a good home.
This form of adoption is much like free breeding, but you cannot reserve any of the Squirrels for yourself. You post the parents, we make them, and that's it. You will not get a notification once the litter is up, you will just have to check by regularly.

Comes in the colors shown. This item cannot be added to Winged breeds or BFLs. Two-Tails can
have two balloons.

Plushies

Even Squirrels like to have toys. Plushies come in the option of a rabbit or a groundhog, and their color/patterns are based off those on the PS. Two-Tails can have two Plushies. This item cannot be
added to Winged breeds or BFLs.
90Nut$ each.

Pink Potion

This potion is used in breedings. When used, the PS-couple can have up to three offspring.
150Nut$ each.

Jumbo Potion

This potion is used in breedings. When used, the PS-couple can have up to six offspring.
300Nut$ each.

BFL Potion

This potion ensures at least one BFL in a litter from a bred couple. A Pink Potion other breeding
potion must be used with it, or it does nothing.
50Nut$ each.

Multiple Mates Potion

PS'es are only allowed one mate usually by their owners. When using this potion your PS can have
another mate (aka you 'change your mind' and let them have more). This potion can be used multiple
times, each time allowing the PS to have another mate. Can be used 8 times total on a PS.
300Nut$ each.

Heard of a Dog-Park? This is a Squirrel-Park! Here, you can bring any of your PS'es for a nice day out. This isn't located on the island, but in a city full of Squirrel Lovers- so all of the Squirrels there are domestic and playful. You can play fetch, walk them, or just let them run, or waddle, around! The Squirrels love this place, it's like a slice of their original home. Now, some Squirrels who don't have homes and live on the streets come here as well. When they're caught they are sent to the Pound. No Squirrels really want to go there, they would rather go straight to an owner. When you're out walking or playing with your Squirrel, you may see one of these strays. You can choose to send them to the Pound or take them home!
In short, you can bring your Squirrel here and play with them. There is a slight chance that when you bring them out for the day you can find a stray PS. You can send them to the Pound or bring them home with you. Please read below for the rules, form and Q&A.

Rules
1.] You may only bring up to two Squirrels out at once, and only once a day.
2.] When your Squirrel has grown tired, you can't bring that same Squirrel out until it is perky again.
3.] If you choose to send a Stray PS to the Pound, it will be open for anyone to try for.
4.] This isn't a contest- so no need to pretty up forms (unless you really want to). Gifs aren't allowed.
5.] Don't complain if you don't find any strays. There is only a small chance of finding them.

Basic Rules For Mods
1.] Set an example, be kind and
don't spam.

2.] Be active and check the
thread for rule breakers
whenever possible.

3.] You cannot give out bans
without my permission,
though you can strike.

4.] You cannot hire/fire staff
for any reason. If you have a
problem with a staff member,
take it up with me.

5.] Do not abuse your power!
Be nice to everyone, don't
strike when not needed.

Staff 'Perks'
1.] When joining staff,
you're allowed a free custom
PS with or without edits
and animation.

2.] You're given a bonus
250Nut$ to spend how
you want to.

3.] You can enter staff-
only raffles and such.

4.] You will have authority
on the thread.

5.] You will be able to help
decide on new features
and such that will make PS
more popular.

6.] You will also be able to
help out with planning
events and such.
