What exactly is a Pikuseru?
Pikuserus are loveable, adorable pixel kittens. They may not seem unique at first glance, but each kitten is actually imported straight from Japan! In fact, once in a while they have the first letter of their names (which are translated in Japanese) tattooed somewhere on their body (commons usually have a Japanese mark). Our mascot Chi-Chi unfortunately lacks one, but that is because she is the mascot.

Of course, more items should be added in time, especially when we get the breeding system going and start selling potions, and more artists to help make accessories.

So now you may be wondering what 'KY' is. Well, KY stands for Kitty Yen. Basically, it's the currency that is exclusive to the Pikuseru community. Wondering how to get Kitty Yen? That's pretty easy. Below is a chart you may have seen before in other adoption centers.

If you trade me an OMG So Common, Very Common, Common, etc, you get a certain amount of Kitten Yen. Just send me a trade saying that the pet you're giving me (or whichever other staff member) is for Kitty Yen.

-OMG So Common = 10
-Very Common = 30
-Common = 50
-Uncommon = 75
-Rare = 120
-Very Rare = 240
-OMG So Rare = Unlimited

Breeding

Welcome to the Breeding Center. To breed your Pikus, you must...

-Have 0 Strikes/Bans
-Have two Pikus
-Have adopted at least a day ago.

To breed a Piku, you first have to fill out the breeding form. To ensure you get the perfect Piku, you may also want to use potions that will be available in the Pikuseru Shop. Potions are not necessary, but you may want them. Also, potions are pretty costly.

Breeding rules:
- You can only breed your own Pikus
- Do not breed a Piku if you already adopted a Pikuseru today.
- Please don't suggest couples from the archives for us. Only people who work here can suggest.
- You can't choose what your baby Piku will look like.

Don't have or don't want your own Pikus to breed? No worry! Every once in a while a new couple will show up here and you can adopt their babies.

Rarities

Now introducing rarities! (Any Piku before this post is not affected by rarities.)



Common Pikuserus will always have their Japanese mark. If it lacks one, it automatically becomes uncommon or rare.

Uncommon Pikuserus usually have an item next to them, such as the Lipstick Pikuseru or the Weather Litter in the Litter section. (Remember, the Lipstick Pikuseru doesn't have a rarity!) And may or may not have their Japanese mark.

Rare Pikuserus can have words or resemble something like the Country Flag Litter does.

Quick note: The rarities and how to tell them apart are still undecided so don't be surprised if litters still come out with nothing matching any of the rarites. It will be fully announced when the Rarities come out.

The Pound

Hello... you have come to the Pound. A sad, cruel place where poor, unwanted Pikus are thrown. They are usually beaten, crying, or filthy when adopted, and can never be reversed... For every 20 KY donated to the Pound, we get enough money to clean up a Piku. Maybe then, they'll be a bit more worthy to be adopted by a passerby.

Quick update:

I had to change the amount of KY a significant amount because I realized how easy it is to get a lot of KY and how quickly all the pets in the Pound would be perfected in a short amount of time... and I know I sound terrible but then again it kind of ruins the point of the Pound. So anyway, sorry about that ^^; Thanks to everyone who donated, though.

Another update, Pikus will only be healed when they're adopted, at the owner's discretion.

Yet another update: The amount of KY will go down every time someone heals a pet/adopts one.
