The 5th and final stage, it's very uncommon for the disease to have had the time to progress this far. At this point the inside of the back legs and the underbelly are no longer safe from the symbols, the cheek gains a new mark as well. Like the first two stages this on takes about a month to completely appear. Currently it is still unknown if the disease is deadly or not, or even if there is another stage after this that no one has ever reached before. After all, hardly any have gotten this far and once they have they're soon to be gone anyways.

XD Alright, I'll let you in on the secret. The disease is indeed very deadly. There is no other stage after the fifth except for death, which can come in a variety of ways depending on how strong each individual is. Most of them die on the battlefield though because the more active one is the faster the 'poison' spreads. When their bodies are recovered it's assumed that the enemy killed them when in all reality it was the disease. Those who don't die on the field typically have nasty wounds gained in a fight, and that makes them weaker, making it easier for the sickness to develop. They die soon but, again, it's assumed to be the work of the wounds gained from the enemy.
