"A cross between a jackal, fennec fox, and unknown something else, Midnight Sand lives in the desert. His/her thick fur keeps him warm at night and his large ears keeps him cool during the day. He's a wanderer, traveling from city to city to fill his craving for new things and sights. Usually he's nocturnal, for his dark fur tends to soak up heat during the day. At night, he can become one with the shadows since his fur is the color of the desert midnight. He grew up as an orphan in the backstreets and alleys so he had to rely on his/her wits to survive. Nimble and quick on his feet, he can squeeze into nooks and run for miles without tiring."
