eva blinked at the mirror in front of her, her eyes red and puffy, spilling with an endless amount of tears as the small amount of makeup she had tried to wear was splashed around her face. she had been trying to control her emotional outbursts, but sometimes it wasn't as easy as some think it would be. sniffling back her tears, she wiped her face with the back of her hand before sniffling, realizing her hands where shaking as she slumped against the bathroom, her silent tears streaming down her face and falling into the broken down sink. the whole mansion was torn down and broken, and she couldn't help but feel that it helped to encourage her spirits, lowering her in the gloom as she sniffed, her voice breaking a bit as she sighed out, before everything flashed in front of her again. the yelling, watching her mother die in front of her eyes, screaming and kicking, and dying in a bathroom similar to this one. the anger towards her father and brother built up inside and immediately she picked up one of the broken pieces of glasses shattering the floor, a large piece, and gripping it firmly before throwing it against the floor, the shattering sound sending a wave of noise towards her direction. stumbling backwords, she leaned against the door, defeated, before wiping the makeup smearing down her face, hoping there was at least some left to look approachable as she stepped out.
hearing voices at the stairway, she sighed before breathing out, walking over slowly before listening to the conversation before sniffling and nodding slowly to payton. she liked him as a friend, he was someone she could be angry with without anyone trying to help- of course he had never seen her break down, and he hoped it would stay that way. "of course. their going to be the center attraction for a while now." she murmured, thanking herself that she hadn't let her voice crack before sitting down quickly, her hair bouncing onto her shoulders as she averted eye-contact, keeping her gaze focused on the two.

oliver hadn't been the least bit surprised after he'd heard her explain. of course she'd have a boyfriend- it was impossible for someone like her not to. he nodded slowly afterwords, desperately wanting to give her a hug or hold her hand to comfort her, but knew she wouldn't like that- he knew he couldn't. his lips curved into a smile at her attempt to make a joke, though the situation itself wasn't a laughing matter. soon after mercy had approached, ollie had looked down at the humans, and watched as they crept closer together. his eyes burned with empathy, watched them as they moved below him. he wanted to help, guide them out of there, but being so close to the second in command, it would be a stupid idea. as gemma and mercy turned to him, his eyes quickly lifted as he hadn't been paying attention, and was a bit late to the conversation. he didn't know which was a better response- either to argue or agree. he could never tell what girls wanted, so he kept his mouth shut and was thankful when cade arrived to the group. a smile played on his lips as he watched cade pace around them. cade was like a father to him- someday ollie hoped to be as strong and brave as him, and he was working as much as he could on it. he was already maturing- at least, around them.
"you can't blame him though. it's always fun to tease someone." oliver bit his tongue before any other words slipped out of his mouth. it sounded terrible, so immature in front of people like them- he had just came there, he should have been more careful, but tried not to show regret as he finally sat down, realizing he had been standing for a while, every part of his body aching with efforts. though it was all empty, since he was stuck in a place between nirvana and here, he felt hollow. like he wasn't worth anything, didn't deserve anyone or anything that people were willing to give him. their time, their emotions- he didn't feel the need to accept it. staring down at the two as they walked along, now past his view, he blinked before placing his elbows onto his knees and palms onto his forehead, the headache making it worse for him as he stared at the ground. he breathed out slowly before turning around to look at the other ghosts who had been here for far longer than he had.
