I'm pretty sure, regardless of the pose, they were much closer to Kias after the last line edit in the first place. They stopped looking more like leopards and started looking more like kias.

But in any case, this speculation is kind've spammy, so unless you guys want to ask a mod about the specific reason then there really shouldn't be anymore posting until the species reopen.
