Kennel: P13
Section: Common Creatures
Name: Walila
Breed: Wolf/Dog - Maybe a Greyhound mixed with a... Golden Retriever.
Age: Young, probably 1 or 2 years old.
Why do you want this animal?&What will you do for this animal?: I want this animal because the only characters I have, have simple designs, with a slight variation of common colors. This one however, draws my eye to the flame like patterns and the intricate symbol on their shoulder. The mix is wonderful, and the contrasting colors really make it unusual. I will take care of this animal as if it was my fursona, ordering art every so often, coloring in line arts of it, and giving it a spot in my adoptable section along with other of my characters. She will be a very, very important character, and she will be my personal wolf pack. I will add to her story along the way, give her a mate, and hopefully produce some gorgeous pups.
Personailty: She can be bold at times, but her brain will always make the final dicision. He heart has a daring disposition, and she'll start a fight at the slightest insult. Even when she knows she's dying, she will prevail, and press on. She seems strong and very merciless, but she can be vulnerable when her heart takes over. She's very sneaky, and incredibly witty, her playfulness is weak, as she is always serious about life. When faced with an unknown decision her curiousness comes around and pushes her forward. If you meet her in battle, she will pull out intelligent tactics and compile them in a single, dance-like movement.
Dislikes&Likes: Dislikes: She dislikes others who are to scared to stand up for their right, pollution, time travel, dogs too proud for their own good, and loud, obnoxious, poorly raised humans. She likes opinions, peace, winning, running, freedom, nature, others who are strong, quiet shelter, soft snow.
History/Backround:Day 1I can't believe it! I can finally see this wonderful world around me; the sunshine, the waves, the palms, and my beautiful mother. Her warmth attracts me to her and her soft fur is a wonderful spot to sleep in! Day 20I was terrified to come face to face with a spider, a mouse, and a badger. My mother fought off the badger, and eventually limped her way back to us. I can see her face grow with fatigue, and she can't feed us as much as she used to. I, myself, am starting to feel sad and hollow inside. I can almost feel anger, but it fades as I drift into slumber.Day 40Today, was a frightening and dark day. I was alone in our warm den, eating some grass, and then... and then I heard it. It wasn't your normal puppy yip of happiness, it was a yip full of pure fear and pain. I peered outside of my shelter, and saw my brother under the paw of a wolf. He was still alive, but barely. My mother sped past, and barreled into the side of the wolf. The wolf bit into my mother's forearm, and my mother bit into his neck. I ran to my brother, and licked his bleeding wounds. I saw him breathe, and I dragged him back to the den in my mouth. Once we were in our secure den, I peeked outside again, and saw that my mother won the battle, as the wolf was bleeding, laying on the ground. She licked my forehead as she crawled inside, and she snuggled my brother until he became warm once more, and when his breathing became stable. I looked at my sister, who was cowering in the corner, and then looked at my mother. Her left ear was gone, her front leg was severely chewed, her snout has a deep gash, and her skin was cold to the touch. I didn't know what I was going to do.Day 50My brother survived, but I know he is going to die soon. His wounds are green and his breathing is stifled. My mother tries her hardest to catch prey, but they evade attack, and waste her energy. Although the wolf's corpse provided food, we were always hungry. I soon accustomed to the fact that I would always be famished, but that empty feeling never left. I met a mouse today, and managed to follow it back to its home and eat it. Day 70My brother died today in my mother's paws. His breathing went ballistic, his eyes glazed over, and then, he just went limp. I wanted to die too, since he was the only sibling that actually understood me. He was buried, deeply, next to a flower patch. I was saddened, but I kept going, and brought home a rabbit later in the evening. Day 80Today, is not a day for celebration. Today, is a day for grief. It all started when it got too crowded in the den. My back pressed against the ceiling, and my sister was pressed against me. My mother, over the past few days, became angry and depressed. She looked at us, squeezed together, and bared her teeth. I snorted and crawled out. She nipped my flank, angrily, and urged my sister to come out as well. Her dark eyes glared at me, and she trotted inside the den. I looked quizzically at my sister, and then sat down in frustration. My sister watched me, and did the same. Hours passed, and I eventually fell asleep with my sister at my side. I woke up to a stench, greater than the one of the wolf my mother fought before. I sniffed the air, and realized it came from the den. I yawned, stretched and walked over to the opening. There she was, my beautiful mother, dead. I just couldn't believe it. I squeezed inside, and licked her frail snout. Her eyes opened slightly, and her tongue carefully touched my nose. Then, it was over. Her body heaved one last time, and then it stopped. Day 100I filled in the den, for fear of my mother getting eaten, and ran off with my sister, miles away. We stopped, when we smelled the smell of another one of our kind. It was a male. A well-fed male. We inched closer to the source, and were surprised to see a pack gathered at the base of a large palm tree, near the shore. We submitted ourselves and shifted towards the alpha male. He sniffed us, and then invited everyone else to greet us. I was particularly intrigued by a certain male, but my sister was distressed and cowered off into an empty den that was not yet claimed. I was led into a neighboring den, and was relieved to find that it was spacious and refreshingly cool.Day 110The male wolf/dog was intrigued by me as well. His stone black eyes met my green ones, and we approached each other. As I sniffed him, I smelled the blood come off him in waves, how he had fought and successfully protected his clan, and how pulled together this pack from nothing. We were forming the beginnings of a closely-knit relationship.Day 130The male wolf/dog was named Kalin, and we received permission to leave the pack and form our own. I said my goodbye to my sister, who is going to have puppies, and started on a winding trail leading to a trickling waterfall. I glanced at Kalin, and realized he too, was interested in this spot. It was far away from the pack, and it was protected by a group of thorny palms. This was where we would form the next generation of us, and it was a perfect spot.
Day 205
Kalin woke up today and he told me he knew it. That he knew that I had the power. I didn't know what power I had, I just thought I was some sort of wolf with combustible paws. He told me I was a chosen one, one that would destroy darkness, and live forever within portals and time. He said that the fire that came out of me was not normal fire, it was Gatshah Fire, the most dangerous. It can rip through metal, destroy darkness, change weather, but it can't kill a living organism. It can only stun, or injure. While he was rapidly explaining, I was contemplating my existence, whether or not I should carry this heavy burden upon my shoulders. But I knew I couldn't give up, I was already trained for it. But for what? I finally broke. I yowled in the middle of conversation, and my fur lit up with sparks. My eyes turned orange, and I looked menacingly at Kalin. I asked him what my purpose of life was, what was chasing me, and what I really was. He looked at me calmly, and simply said, "You're a shadow traveler, and a shadow slayer. What was chasing you was a Jeyina Shadow, it warns with spells and kills with power."
Day 210
We started off on our journey, and on the way, I found a leather collar. I sniffed it quizzically. All in my mind melted and I froze, I couldn't concentrate, I felt things getting dizzy, but I held steady. I nuzzled my nose underneath the collar, and slid it onto my neck. The scruffy area around the leather lit with flames, and the silver charm was surrounded with a blue flame. Kalin paid no attention, as he was already used to the sudden outburst of flames I usually endured daily. I watched as the flames grew larger, and soon engulfed my upper arms and my ears. For the first time in my whole life, I was scared. Kalin finally looked up from a cricket and stared at me, he knew what was happening, I could see the plain look in his eyes. I didn't have a clue what was going on, I though that I may perish from heat, but my bones were still solid and my fur still shaggy. My paws left the earth and I slumped in the air, unconcious.
Day 211
Today I woke up and ran. For some reason I just ran and ran for miles. I don't know why, entirely, but it was part anger, part desperation. I wanted to know what was happening to me, what was chasing me, if I would survive and get to see my pups, and what was really going on. I stopped at a pond, panting. I stood over its still surface and lapped up some water. When it settled once again, I peered at it, to see my reflection and what I looked like. My dull flame markings were, interesting, I never saw any animal with such beauty. I stepped in the water, and looked closer at my tattoo that turned heads and upset elder dogs. The intricate swirls and dots were distinguishing, and gorgeous. As I lapped up my last drink, I turned my head at movement behind me. I saw that the shadows of trees and plants turned in my direction, as if they were peeking at my. I whipped around threateningly, and watched as they simultaneously slid back into the ground. But a single shadow stayed and watched, I approached, and realized it was in the shape of a small wolf. It produced a high-pitched yip and ran at me. When it met my snout, it surprisingly hopped up and ran up to my forehead. I, too, yipped out of surprise, and faltered back a few feet, tripping into the pond. It pounced onto my left eye, and pulled down my closed lid in curiosity. I shook the thing off and ran behind a tree. It followed me. I ran again, but this time up a tree. It followed me there too. I tried to squish it, but it simple sank into the ground, and popped up behind me. For the first time in my life, I didn't know what to do.
