Breeding Artist:
A breeding artist will be responsible for designing the foals of FFD pairs. You will be given a pair of equids and the foal owner may ask for specific traits. It is your job to make the foal resemble the parents and have the features asked for where possible. So in order to prepare you for this role you need to:
Design a foal from any one of the three pairs below (or all of them). Once you have designed it make sure you say which pair you chose in the first post!
1)
2)
3)
Original Artist:
Original artists make regular FFD adopts. Just be creative. Have fun, but DO NOT steal any designs of any other adoptable, anywhere.
So your challenge is to design up to 2-4 unique FFD's.
~Equine influence on their anatomy.
~Females and Males are very similar except Males ALWAYS have 3 spikes on their checks and have chest hair.
~Tundra FFD's have lots of hair.
~Tundra Females have short chest hair.
~Tundra FFD's have long tail and mane.
~They live with Taurens in the world Uturia.
~The measuring system for Freedom Forest Dwellers is just like with horses, their height is measured only from the hooves to their shoulders in Hands.
~They can have any horse coat, but have specific patterns:
Appaloosa:
Blanket - refers to a horse which has a solid white area normally over, but not limited to, the hip area with a contrasting base color.
Spots - refers to a horse which has white or dark spots over all or a portion of its body.
Blanket With Spots - refers to a horse with a white blanket which has dark spots within the white. The spots are usually the same color as the horse's base color.
Roan - A horse exhibiting the Appaloosa roan pattern develops a lighter colored area on the forehead, jowls and frontal bones of the face, over the back, loin and hips. Darker areas may appear along the frontal bones of the face as well and also on the legs, stifle, above the eye, point of the hip and behind the elbow. Without an apparent Appaloosa blanket or spots, a horse with only the above-listed characteristics will also need mottled skin and one other characteristic to qualify for regular registration.
Roan Blanket - refers to a horse having the roan pattern consisting of a mixture of light and dark hairs, over a portion of the body. The blanket normally occurs over, but is not limited to, the hip area.
Roan Blanket With Spots - refers to a horse with a roan blanket which has white and/or dark spots within the roan area.
Solid - refers to a horse which has a base color but no contrasting color in the form of an Appaloosa coat pattern. This horse will need mottled skin and one other characteristic to receive regular papers.
Freckle Layer: it's common for the layers tobiano, splash and overo to develop tiny spots on certain areas.
Bengal: markings composed of spots and stripes mixed together resembling the pattern of a marble bengal cat’s. They never reach the head or cover the legs and are of a darker tone of the base color. Its very rare if they do.
Brindling: thin stripes that either cover the whole body or just specific parts of it. In most cases the color is a darker tone of the base coat, but there are times it can be a lighter tone instead due to environment influence or even genetic reasons.
Dapple: Light spots covering the whole body or certain areas.
~Always have brindle/stripy patterns (very very rarely they don't have brindle)
~They have 3 ringed horns running down their nose and 2 beside their ears.
~Always have spots or some sort of Appaloosa (very very very rarely the don't have spots)
~They have no magical properties.
~Very rare but sometimes have different shapes of horns.
You can use existing FFD designs as inspiration. Just be creative. There's not very many FFD's anyway, but... yeah.
