Name: Hunter
Why do you want this animal and what will you do with it?: Well I already had this information written and I've just been searching for a character that will fit the part! I would like him to be friends with and perhaps have a bromance with my character Fisher. It'd be good to lighten up Fisher, seeing as he's very grumpy and uptight. I stumbled across your adoption agency a little while ago and was just waiting for it to open so I could apply for this canine! He looks perfect to act the part. <3
Personality: Though he proves to be a loyal companion and a happy explorer, it'd be difficult to see Hunter as any sort of aggressive figure. He's more submissive than dominant, but will step up when his own opinion is needed. More often than not, he's very baffled. He's somewhat clumsy and laughable, but he puts in his best efforts. He's loves talking and will put his two cents into any conversation. On every matter, he has an opinion. On everything, he has to take a side. He carries himself rather well and has great confidence in himself, and he's also a very good speaker. He doesn't allow his own mistakes to affect his pride. In fact, he can be a bit too inflated at times, but is all-around not too self-centered to enjoy the company of. He has a very strong desire to please his master, as this was the way that he was raised and taught. For this reason, he is also very family-oriented and loyal. He's also well-acquainted with the woods and all of the local hunting grounds, and he has a natural aptitude for being able to track things and finding his own direction. If somehow misplaced miles from his own home, he'd be able to find his way back rather quickly. He's not any sort of an indoor dog - in fact, it pains him to be cooped up inside. Instead, he much prefers the freedom of the outdoors, even if he doesn't take much advantage of it. He's not very into running and any sport of that sort really, but he's very fond of natural senses and pleasures: the breeze blowing on his fur, the damp grass after dew, anything that his sensory skills can pick up on. Perhaps this is why he is so well pleased with himself when he tackles a prey in the hunting woods, even though he isn't aggressive by nature. He has a great attention span and can focus really well, so it's easy to teach him most skills. He has a rather big fear of water and of getting dirty, so he tends to avoid the river, the stream, and mud puddles at any costs. He has great social skills because he can hold up a conversation with anyone rather well, and he's great at hiding his own dislike of people. He likes to make friends just as much as the next social butterfly, but he finds that loyalties to those of the opposite gender are set to hold him down.

History/Background: Hunter was accidentally home-bred on a farm out in the country. The farmer owned two older Irish Terriers, a male and a female, that he'd bargained off of a hunter once they'd gotten too old to hunt for any sort of sport. He was very pleased with his purchase and used them around the farm to perform various odd-jobs. Because the two were kept together for so long, they eventually mated, and the female gave birth to a decent litter. The pups were sold individually as the farmer didn't have time to raise and train them all on the farm. Hunter ended up in the hands of the hunter who had owned Hunter's parents. He was very eager to get his hands on another young Irish Terrier, seeing as his old couple had been quite good at what they do: hunting all sorts of small game. Hunter was born and raised as a hunting dog. His first time being taken out in the woods with a shotgun was when he was just one year old. He was quite spooked by the sound of the gun, but because he was so loyal to his master and eager to please, he worked heartily in hopes of a good place to sleep at night and a good meal to fill his empty stomach. On his third time out in the forest for training, Hunter found a badger within his regular hunting woods. It was much larger than he was used to finding for prey, and he went about catching it the wrong way, dealing with its sharp claws instead of its hindquarters. Hunter was severely injured while trying to catch the badger for his master. The badger attacked him, gashing his shins and leaving him bloody and wounded. Hunter's owner didn't shoot the badger, for fear that he'd miss and accidentally hit Hunter. He was his prized hunting dog! Eventually, Hunter gave the large badger a fatal bite to the neck, but it was far too delayed. Blood spilled from his two front legs, and he was sorely upset by the whole occurrence. Hunter's owner took him home and rested him up so that he'd recover, but the badger had left some nasty scars on his front legs, so Hunter's owner wrapped up his legs so that they'd be more sturdy for walking and more attractive.

After two months of recovery, Hunter's owner began exercising him regular. He took him out for a forest walk near the lake, where Hunter and his owner met Fisher and his owner, Mr. Tim. Fisher and Hunter really hit it off. It was the first time that Hunter's owner really got a good look at him as being playful. He realized that he was really just still a puppy and far too young for a traumatic experience like that. Hunter and Fisher played and got to know each other for quite a while when they were out on the lake, and their owners began talking and finding that they could relate to each other as well. This sparked a bond between the two men and the two dogs, and Hunter's owner began to see the two terriers as practically inseparable.

After letting a week pass, Hunter's owner took him out once more for a trial hunt. Hunter was able to track down several small game: rats, squirrels, and even a badger. However, he was unwilling to take a claw to any of them. His owner began to shoot the prey once Hunter tracked them down, but after hearing the gun, Hunter broke away in a full-out sprint towards their house. After the incident, Hunter was shy of fighting any of the animals, and he was even more frightened by the thundering boom that reminded him very much of the badger that had given him the ugly scars on his shins. Hunter's owner was very frustrated that the male dog that was supposed to be sturdy and loyal was instead very easily frightened, very gentle, and very timid. He found him to be quite useless because the only thing he'd really need a dog for was to help him hunt, so he began to search for a new home for him. The first possible owner that came to mind was Mr. Tim, Fisher's owner, seeing as the two dogs had even been given playdates and bonded very well over all. However, Hunter's owner had invested quite a bit in such a pricey, purebred hunting dog, so he was unwilling to gift Hunter away, even though he was practically useless. Hunter was very offended that his owner no longer wanted him, because he was eager to please his master, but he still wouldn't raise a paw against any of the creatures that he spotted out. Eventually, his owner caved and offered Mr. Tim a deal. Just $200 for the dog that he'd now deemed worthless, and he could keep the play-mates together. Any sympathy that his small heart had to offer was now targeted towards Hunter in his less-than-working condition.

Mr. Tim jumped at the offer. Unlike Hunter's owner, he truly had an interest in Fisher's well-being, and thus, he wanted to keep the two unaggressive males together. He allowed Fisher a lot of freedom, and he knew that if he left the two boys alone, they'd get along. Following his next hefty paycheck after making a deal with the local fish market, he paid Hunter's owner for the dog, and he became the owner of both darling terriers. Owning Hunter did propose a problem when Mr. Tim took both him and Fisher out on the lake. He was unaccustomed to the large amounts of water and didn't really care to get his paws muddy or his pelt wet. He decided that he rather didn't like fishing much at all, but he put up with watching the happy pair making a living.

Hunter is flustered by traumatic memories each and every time that he enters the forest, even when it's just to go down to the lake for a fish, but he's more than happy in his pleasant home. The interaction that he has with Fisher is absolutely amazing. They have an inseparable bond, and he feels right at home with Mr. Tim. Once he sold him, Hunter's old owner lost interest in him, and once leaving the farm, he was never to see his parents again. But other than that, he carries a rather pleasant life with him for the time-being.

Why do you want this animal and what will you do with it?:
Well, first of all, Winter is so cute, with her scarf and beautiful design!
Winter's large ears also boosts the cuteness level. I'm planning to use her in RPs and do some art of her!
I haven't done any artwork, yet, but I will!

Personality:
Winter is a trouble maker and curious, always looking for a new way to have fun.
She is sleepy most of the time during hot days,
but as active as a five year old on Christmas morning during the cold ones!

History/Background:
Winter Wonderland was born during the coldest day of winter,
and was the only Sow Fox in her family of regular foxes.
They tried to act like they didn't care about how she looked, but it did bother them. A lot.
On the winter Equinox, they cast her out and left her in the wilderness to fend for herself.
They knew that she would live, for she was old enough to know how to make a shelter, catch prey, and fight.
Winter knew this too, but it hurt just as much when they cast her out.

just a question;; What can an artist do that anyone else can't do?

Artists can reserve a character that they created if no acceptable forums are made for said character. Their designs are also always accepted where as the revampers and guest artists can go under scrunity in their acceptances of designs. Artists also can help judge a pet that they designed and help choose who adopts their pet. They also help me choose a spotlight pet. All in all, artists come second only to moderators in importance. And thank you!
