I just noticed that BrightHeaven posted about her deerssert Reina, but I also have a deerssert named Reina. Mine is on the archives and theirs is not, and I was wondering who named their deerssert first and if one of us needs to rename? I don't mind terribly myself but I remember last time this happened it was determined by staff that one of them needed to change.

By the way I have popped in from my hiatus to scream about my new custom deerssert! She's still unnamed but I'm so happy with her ~ if anyone could suggest Japanese names I'd really appreciate it! I'm leaning towards Rie but I feel like everyone might pronounce that wrong cuz it's weird xD

if you mean get another slot reserved to replace the deer, no you won't. c:
but once you give the deer to the re-adoption center, it no longer belongs to you, so it won't count towards your total.

I like the new thread-setup! Because of the tighter artist involvement rules, will this mean it will be busier? (I'm really hoping the nursery will get more orphaned deer though I know that's rare.) Plus, I'm really hoping that the indivudual customs will be open more. Some are are still incomplete though the OP had started it back last year.

I want to ask if there's any way we can have a list of still-operating custom shops?
And whoever compiled the list would give everyone a deadline. So all the artists would have to finish their topics (some only have to add the payment, quite a few are complete, but dead) by that date, or else they would be considered closed on the list. And maybe it would be listed by the payment required, too? So some might be "free" some "uncommon" some "rare" and would be listed like that.
It can be frustrating looking for open topics. I think this would really help.

thanks! glad other people like the new setup; i put in a good bit of work to make it as nice as possible. :D
i'm hoping the new artist rules will make people more active; though most of our artists are very active already! orphaned deer are supposed to be pretty rare, but i wouldn't be against letting a few appear sometime soon, if any artists would like to make one!

the problem with keeping a 'still-operating' list is that customs aren't really something mandatory for artists. putting deadlines on them would be kind of harsh. i can't speak for all artists, but i get behind on my customs pretty often, and i'd hate to have some kind of deadline on my shoulders. x__x
i don't know; i kind of like how custom threads are right now; giving the artists a lot of freedom. i'm going to go ahead and see about locking the custom threads of people who no longer work for us, and hopefully have them removed from the custom thread stem. i think that'll clear up some confusion. otherwise, though, if someone wants to keep a list of which shops are open and when, they're welcome to... but it'd have to be another user who wanted to keep up with it, since that could be tedious!
