Use: Mirah will most certainly be the pride and joy of my collection. I originally created her on a maker that I found on deviantart to pass the time, but she came out actually half-decent looking, so after failing to find a use for her I decided that putting her in here would give her the best chance and being used as someone's character. I threw her into the mix for the revamp contest hoping she'd be made more appealing, and wowee, just the change in the way she was drawn drew back the early connection I had with her. Plus, she has a killer sense of fashion, because I wish I owned jeans like those.... very envious. Anyhow, I digress. Surely, I knew that this revamp would bring on the competition for her, but whether or not someone else tried for her I planned to apply to hopefully win her back, seeing as she was indeed my creation with the help of the lovely character maker. xD Now I'm just hoping to pour my heart into this form. I always favor human, anthro, and canine characters, so she'd fit in with the "top dogs" of my characters. She'd likely be one of my favorites too, as recently I've taken a particular obsession to challenging myself to develop female humans characters. We'll see how I do it in this form. Winning her would mean the world to me... she's probably who I'm hoping for most in this spectacular 5-application round. I'd definitely treat her to a high and mighty character page and lots of art orders if she were to come home with me. She'll get a place in my signature, and art and stories will be like rain.
♥All about the character, Mirah
Name: Mirah "Ronnie" Walberg

Mirah is an Arabic name meaning "princess," "treetop," or "proverb" among many other meanings.

Ronnie means "strong counsel." It is a nickname given to her when she was younger. It started as a pet name from a guy friend, and eventually it caught on in her other social circles.

When I first saw Mirah's revamp, she reminded me of a star. I looked up names that meant "light," and for some reason I came to a page that suggested "Mirah."
Gender: Female
Species: A human of course! Probably like the one who is reading this form right now,
but possibly not like the one who's writing it.Age: 16 years old
Religion: Agnostic
Agnosticism is the view that the truth values of certain claims—especially claims about the existence or non-existence of any deity, as well as other religious and metaphysical claims—are unknown or unknowable. -Wikipedia
Birthday: April 24th
Zodiac Sign: Taurus
Personality: Overall, Mirah is pretty shy. She generally keeps to herself. She's never one to start a conversation with a stranger, and usually even with friends she sits in long periods of silence. She doesn't have a lot to say most of the time, and only those closest to her can bring out her talkative side. She hates making first impressions and doesn't like meeting new people or trying new things. She gets scared pretty easily and isn't very strong or brave; this is likely why her nightmares scare her so badly.
She's tidy and cleans up well, and she's very organized. She always looks presentable and would never go out in public in a mismatched outfit or with unbrushed hair. She shivers each and every time she walks into Walmart and locks eyes with a woman still in her pajamas. It seems like Mirah is pretty accident prone, or perhaps she's just clumsy. She's always dropping things and burning herself with the curling iron. She's well-coordinated but not very interested in sports, aside from track and field. She just adores running.
When it comes to adults and authority, Mirah likes to push her limits. She loves to see just how much freedom she is allowed, and sometimes she abuses her privileges very subtly. Usually Mirah would not cause a scene by outright defying authority, but if she's given an inch she'll take a mile. It's once been said that she knows where "the line" is, and though she tampers with it, she never fully steps over the line of what is appropriate and what is not. She'll quietly display some attitude and sometimes instead of disobeying, just ignore directions that she's given. Aside from this, overall she's pretty well-behaved. She does have a touchier side that is definitely full of attitude, which can get her into trouble at school. At home, her guardians mostly ignore the mouth that she has on her whenever she is criticized and immediately becomes defensive. If there's one thing that Mirah definitely is not, it's judgmental. She loves people in general, and she has no room to judge based on her backstory. She is one of the most approachable young ladies in her high school, and people often come to her whenever they need to vent, since they know that she talks very little and listens very well.
Sometimes Mirah likes to kick back and gain her space. She doesn't like being overwhelmed and can't always be expected to turn her homework in, though she's pretty bright. She hates being put on a strict schedule, and she also doesn't like big gatherings with lots of people. Because she's so shy and reclusive, she usually avoids parties and festivals of all sorts. She does like to hang out with her friends alone on the weekends, however. Mirah has an excellent sense of humor, and she says the funniest things as though they're nothing. Jokes roll off of her tongue effortlessly, which many people really envy. She's quiet and nothing too out-of-the-ordinary more often than not. She can't be bothered by anything and isn't often jerked into depression or sad spells. She can run really well on next to no sleep, but she usually has a killer appetite. Even so, all her dedicated morning runs ensure that her gorgeous hips don't gain a single pound.
She's pretty literate and a great story teller. She's excellent at drawing and is appreciative but humble about her skills. She isn't really a "wistful" sort of person, nor does she read too far into things. She's not great at analyzing books for the "hidden meaning" and doesn't usually understand when people use common, everyday metaphors. Mirah's not self-conscious, she's just naturally pretty sophisticated and beautiful. She has decent posture and holds her tongue when she needs to. The most irritating thing about Mirah many people would agree is her attitude. She has a hard time taking criticism and she also hates to be teased or bothered when she's drawing, sleeping, or listening to music. When she's even just the slightest bit upset with someone, she tends to tune them out and ignore them. Her silent attitude is the worst; she often crosses her arms or puts her hands on her hips whenever she is angry.
One of the best things about Mirah is that she never catches on to the "fads." She doesn't like to listen to mainstream pop music. She hates a lot of things that other people really like, just because it's considered "cool." She never caught onto those sort of things. She likes to be original and stick out, since her own voice and talents don't very well put her above the rest. When she has quiet time to herself, she's most likely to be found in her room watching television or old movies or drawing one anime character or another, though it's not very often that she watches anime or reads manga. Mirah can't make the best in all of situations, but physically she is very crafty and resourceful. She can always transform one thing into another in almost no time. No hair tie? She can make something for you from the elastic-like cloth of her leggings. She can always be useful in those sort of situations.
Mirah doesn't press too hard to get information out of you. If you're upset and she asks what's wrong, if you're unwilling to tell her, there's no way that she's going to bother it out of you. If you wish to be left alone, then she'll do just that. Others can lie directly to her face, and she's gullible enough to believe it. For this reason, she's naive and easily tricked, so it's not hard to take advantage of her. Undoubtedly though, mess up your friendship with her once, and she'll ignore you for the rest of your days. She can be a bit boring company at times and lacks common sense, despite her clever craftiness, but she's a pretty good crayon to have in your box, if you catch my drift. ;)

Micro-managingMirah's story, as told by herHistory/Background:Ever since I was a baby, I've had awful nightmares that have never really gone away. Some of them are recurring, so I constantly have the same gory pictures flashing through my head of my loved ones' demise. My mother always said they weren't prophetic, but they were certainly still enough to keep her awake at night, especially when I woke up sweating or screaming. In my most terrifying dreams, I'd see my mother being mauled by a bear, my best friend fighting an evil warlord to the death, or me being ambushed by men with crooked teeth and old guns that are loaded. I never really knew why it happened. I'm not a crude person. In fact, if those things ever really happened, it'd frighten me so greatly I'd go into hiding. I guess I just have an overactive imagination. I've taken medicine before... for the dreams I mean. But nothing helps. Nothing at all. When I was nearly a third of my age now, my parents took me to buy a dreamcatcher. The thought the psychological effects would override the dreams, but no such luck. Even so, it interested me a lot. I picked out a spectacular blue one, my very favorite color, and for a period of time I even became very interested in other cultural things, especially of the Aztec and Inca Indians. I'm not really sure what brought on that phase, but there wasn't a day when I didn't go to school with a feather in my hair and my wrists adorned with bracelets bearing bright colors and complicated patterns.
People tell me that my family is a little bit dysfunctional. As my best friend Gage always used to say... "That's weird, Ronnie." But I know he never meant offense by it. He has the typical family, I suppose you could say. You see, my birth parents never actually got married. I don't know if they were ever even in love. But I know that my mom wanted a baby and my dad wanted to join the Marine Corps, so after my mom got pregnant, my dad left to be a Marine. At least, with my father fighting for our country and all, I'll get my college education for free. I guess you could say my parents cohabitated and co-parented. My dad was deployed to Japan until I was three years old, and when he came back, he moved in with us. He brought me some brightly colored dresses with long sleeves called kimonos, which I guess I wore day in and day out to play in. Mom was happy that Dad was back, because she had her hands full with me 24-7 while he was away. Even so, I'm not sure why they lived together. By the time I was seven, my mom was seeing another man named George, but I always call him Geo. This didn't seem to bother my dad. When my parents were home, they mostly avoided each other. It was a little weird for me, but it's not like my parents had ever been particularly affectionate. I don't usually have a hard time adjusting to things like this, but if my dad or Geo ever completely walked out of my life, I'd find a problem with it.
School has always been a little more tricky for me. I'm as bright as a lightbulb and I'm very tolerant, but I'm not very outgoing and that always pushes me to the back of the crowd. Once when I was younger, I went to the library with my mom to see how well reading would catch on as one of my hobbies. My mom said I needed to do something besides chew on the ends of my hair and play by myself. She knew I wasn't as excitable as the other first graders. While I was at the library though, it wasn't really the books that interested me. I say a bulletin corkboard littered with all sorts of human faces with big eyes drawn in black and white. I know now that it's called anime. I started drawing it even from a very young age. It gave me something to do and I started to get really good at it. I guess my dad was always a decent artist, at least according to my mom, so maybe that's where I got it from. It was sort of annoying to have so many faces peering over my shoulders when I drew in school. On the playground, I would always sit on a swing with a notebook and draw anime. I was much too nice to shoo the watchers away. I've never been a very outgoing person, nor assertive to get my needs met.
Speaking of my dad by the way, I don't really know him too well. He's always been distant from our "family," but I love him just the same. When I was younger I would ask him things about himself, but I never learned anything extraordinary. He was born in the city but had a love for animals. His favorite color was blue, he had very neat handwriting, and he went to college for two years before dropping out and joining the Marines. My mom on the other hand, I've always known everything about. She was born in the country, but always longed to be in the city. Her favorite color is orange. She never really liked her family, since my grandma is a heavy smoker and my grandpa is very conservative, but something about the country house felt like home when I was younger. Now I share my mother's dislike for them. My mother used to be pretty quiet just like me, and her first job was at a bakery. She had a bunch of crushes and broken hearts just like most girls. She went to college a year late to study medicine so she could go into pharmacy, but she dropped that and finished college studying history. Not a very practical major. She met my dad at a bar and they were very straightforward with each other about their motives. I guess Gage is right; our family is really weird, but it's all I've ever known. I don't know how my mom met Geo, but he has a bright smile and we're super cool. He gives me lots of space to be a teenager, and my dad does the same. Even my mom isn't strict on curfew or punishment since I'm quiet, mostly well-behaved, and I don't go out of the house a lot, at least on school nights.
My most dramatic life-changing experience was when I was thirteen. I was feeling really overwhelmed, so I ran away to my cousin's house for a few days. Looking back, it was pretty stupid, but my mom didn't panic. She knew exactly where I would be, since I'd been talking to my cousin a great deal the week before. I guess I'd been dropping a few too many hints. Escape plans were never my strong suit. I cried for a long time and stayed there for a while, God even knows why. Puberty I guess. I've always been more involved in my family than my peers.
You know, it's funny really. Geo actually works for an insurance company, and I met Gage through that... indirectly I guess you could say. Geo works with Gage's mother Theresa, and at the skating rink one particular Friday night, they were hosting a "Family Skate Night." I was going on nine at the time. Theresa told Geo about the skating rink and suggested that he bring my mother and I, so that we could all meet her son. Unfortunately, Gage's dad divorced his mom many years ago, so it would just be the two of them attending. Geo thought this would be an excellent idea to meet more kids my age, since I was such a reclusive person when I was younger. He dragged me along, and that's when Gage and I met. We really hit it off immediately; he told me he was fond of my eyes and I complimented his light-up shoes. Nothing too fancy, I agree, but from then on we became really good pals. He'd come over to my house all the time and even spend the night, since we were so young that it appeared innocent enough. We went on hikes and adventures together and I showed him my anime drawings all of the time. He was the only person that I ever let watch me draw over my shoulder. Surprisingly, it didn't really bother me when it was him. Geo and my mom both became close with Theresa, so Gale's mom was over at our house often too. They came to any family get-together that we hosted, which was only the occasional Thanksgiving. Geo's parents live in Britain, Dad always leaves the house for holidays, and most of my mom's family rejects her because they have some very strong views that she should've married my father before they had me. Those things make it pretty difficult to host a get-together.
As Gage and I started getting older, a lot of people noticed how well we bonded. He has brown hair similar to the color of mine, and he has dark brown eyes. His skin is perfectly tanned, so our complexions vary just slightly. You can see why those that don't mistake us for a couple often mistake us for being twin brother and sister. Gage and I went to different elementary schools, but we've attended the same middle school and high school. It's funny that people always think that he likes me or vice-versa. We seem pretty happy stuck as friends. I don't even think I'm interested in dating anyone right now, to be honest.
I suppose you're probably wondering how I first got my nickname. When Gage heard that I had never properly seen an episode of Jersey Shore and didn't even recognize the name Snooki, I swear, I thought he was actually going to have a panic attack. He came over after dinner one Saturday night with four whole bags of popcorn to pop and multiple series of Jersey Shore on DVD from the library. We had a Jersey Shore marathon, and the whole time that we watched it, Gage pointed out different things and made ridiculous jokes about all of the cast. They were so melodramatic, and it was comforting to see that their lives were more messed up than my own. The only thing that really caught my eye aside from that was a certain actor named Ronald "Ronnie" Magro. I'm pretty certain that I simply pointed out his muscles or something of the likes, but Gage really lost it laughing for some reason. He created a non-existent "unhealthy obsession with Ronnie Magro" for me, and he even started calling me Ronnie myself. For the first few months, it really irritated me. I sort of like the name Ronnie, since my dressing style isn't too terribly feminine so I finally gave in and gave him permission to call me Ronnie. He actually used the name so frequently that it caught on with my other friends. Even my mom still occasionally calls me Ronnie. It's really a terrible backstory, in my opinion.
When I get mad at people, I tend to ignore them. It really gives them a hard time. I remember once my mother wouldn't allow me to go to Gage's house for Christmas even though we had not a single plan. It bothered me so much that I did not speak to her for a week. I know that's sort of disrespectful of me, but it's something that comes naturally to me. People say they believe that I have anger management problems, but I channel it into the "silent treatment" instead of yelling and cussing. They call it my "silent but deadly" attitude.
I'm currently a junior in high school, and I have some plans for the future. I'm not sure if I'd ever really like to get married or have children, but I'd definitely be more willing to marry than to give birth. I'm especially interested in fashion and designing, and since I'm a relatively talented artist, this might actually be a pursuable career! My dream is to be picked for an internship at Vogue magazine. I plan to live in the town that I grew up in for the rest of my life, but definitely in an apartment, not with Mom, Dad, and Geo. Gage jokes all the time that he's going to move in with me. Yeah... we'll see about that.

Favorite Song/Personal Theme Song: Ink by Coldplay.
Ironic that a love song would be the theme song for a girl who's not looking for love. However, it's more just her favorite song, and of course how she would like a relationship to potentially be. It's a cute new song by one of her favorite bands.Favorite Song Lyrics: "I'm gonna make it bend and break. Say a prayer and let the good times roll - in case God doesn't show."

Favorite Pasttime
: When she was too young to stay home by herself and her mom had to go grocery shopping, Mirah would always get dragged along. She's not really close with her mom right now, but she loved shopping with her as a kid. She always used to push the shopping cart and was treated to whatever foods she wanted.
People who bring a smile to her face
:-
Gage. Gage has been Mirah's best friend in the whole world since age eight. Undoubtedly, he is very handsome, but their love for each other is probably more sibling-like than anything else. They often confide in each other, since sometimes they each feel like the odd ones out at home. Mirah spends loads of time with Gage and hangs around him at school as well. Neither of them will admit feelings for each other and they might actually have a platonic love for each other; it is unsure. Either way, both of them have never dated anyone, so perhaps they're keeping their options open for one another?
-
Dad. Mirah's dad is definitely the outcast at home and he spends more time at work and in various hotels than at home, since Mirah's mom is dating George. Mirah has always really loved her dad, even though he's not around too often. He usually spoils her with various gifts and doesn't really fit the stereotypical protective dad type, which Mirah is eternally grateful for.
-
Geo. Behind her dad in the list of people Mirah loves is her "step-dad" George. She's called him Geo from the time that she first met him, and she's not really sure why this is the case. He's a very friendly and warm man and Mirah likes him, but she does feel a bit envious at times that her birth father is not the one that her mom is with. Even so, Geo makes good company and tries to beat Mirah's dad at the competition of spoiling her the most.
-
Mr. Amburg. Mr. Amburg (or Mr. Hamburger, as Mirah used to call him) is definitely the most relatable and laid-back teacher that her public school has to offer. He was her tenth grade math teacher and she really liked having him for class. He's also sort of become her personal counselor whenever she needs helpful advice.
A breakdown of her style....
:Mirah tends to wear things that are slightly "revealing," but nothing too riske! She loves halter tops and belly-shirts, and she also really loves long sleeves. She loves graphic tees and skinny jeans, and she'll wear mini skirts and sun dresses if she's dressing to impress. Her nails are always done in one color or another, sometimes something bright, and other times something much more plain. She even does her toes in the winter when no one sees them but herself! She likes to wear earrings on occasion, but usually her pierced ears are bare. She likes bracelets and silver necklaces, but that's the extent of jewelry she can bring herself to. Her favorite sorts of shoes are Toms, fur boots, flip flops, and wedges. She also loves t-shirts with ironic or occasionally inappropriate sayings on them.
She hates baggy clothing, except for perhaps sweatpants. She doesn't like leggings or yoga pants, nor does she like sweatshirts, tennis shoes, or flare-end jeans. She's incredibly particular about what she wears and for this reason she always shops for herself.
Pets: She has an orange and white tabby cat named Punkin that she adores with all of her heart. She's had him ever since she was eight years old, and he was a gift from Geo. He has a tendency to be affectionate, and he loves visitors.
She also has a completely black cat named Sebastian. He's a quick runner and doesn't always get along with Punkin, but he adores Mirah. He's stand-offish to everyone except for Gale, because he was a gift to Mirah from Gale. He was rescued from the shelter when he was pretty young after being found under a house with his mother. He's definitely younger than Punkin, but fights for superiority.
Prized Possessions: Mirah still owns the blue dreamcatcher that her mother and father bought her when she was younger, but it's very faded from sunlight. It hangs from the ceiling in her room by a window, and she stares at it every night before falling asleep.
Mirah's other prized possession would be a heart-shaped metal keychain that hangs off of one of the zippers on her school bag. It has the letter "R" printed on it, short for Ronnie, and was a present from her friend Gage.
Pet Peeves:- When girls twirl their hair and giggle.
- When people read her texts but don't text back.
- When people are on Facebook while hanging out with her.
- When parents have bedtimes for their teenage children.
Guilty Pleasures:- Reading "embarrassing moment" columns online and in magazines.
- Watching old Disney channel shows on Youtube.
